For general discussion and debate. Possible talking point: next Mars mission should be somebody's one-way trip!

Lawrence M. Krause, the author of The Physics of Star Trek, has an interesting proposal to reduce the cost of an expedition to Mars. Krause proposes that Mars expeditions from the very start be made a one way trip. Thus the fuel and equipment necessary for a return trip would not be needed.

Do you think this is a good idea, and who would you most like to see sent?

(Hint, hint: this is your chance to send a really obnoxious politician, movie star, whoever.)
