CNN Anchor Smacks Hallmark for 'Homophobic' Christmas Ornament

CNN anchor Carol Costello thinks Hallmark is "homophobic" for changing the word "gay" to "fun" on its "Holiday Sweater" ornament.

The company changed the words of the carol "Deck the Halls" from "Don we now our gay apparel" to "Don we now our FUN apparel" on the ornament. On her Facebook page, Costello lamented "Oh Hallmark. You didn't. Oh, wait, you did." After quoting Hallmark's explanation, she pronounced her judgment: "Homophobic? I say, yes you are."

Hallmark explained that the word "gay" used to mean "festive or merry" and now has "multiple meanings." The business changed the word to avoid "misinterpretation."

Costello has a clear bias on this issue. She pushed the Boy Scouts to "change" along with "the world" and accept gay Scout leaders, and asked a supporter of California's Proposition 8 if he was "on the wrong side of history."
