Barnicle Frets Creating NATO Force Would Fuel ISIS Recruitment

If Mike Barnicle were around at the beginning of WWII, perhaps he would have written "we better not fight back. It might make Hitler mad."

On today's Morning Joe, the cringing former Boston Globe columnist, second-guessing a united front against terrorism, worried "wouldn't . . . creating a NATO force just add fuel to the recruiting fever that ISIS employs within Europe?" Maybe Mike should start referring to ISIS as Borg. After all, he apparently believes that resistance is futile.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Mike Barnicle, wasn't yesterday's moment when the president spoke, wasn't that the moment to call for that unity, international unity on this, to reach out for them to work collectively with them him?

MIKE BARNICLE: Roger Cohen wrote about this over the weekend, actually, calling for a NATO force, for Article 5 to be implemented. Roger, but let me ask you, wouldn't, well -- two questions. Wouldn't part of invoking Article 5 and creating a NATO force just add fuel to the recruiting fever that ISIS employs within Europe?
