Hey Media: Lets Take a Look At Obama’s Other Radical Friends

March 19th, 2008 6:48 PM

Hey MSM! Since all has been forgiven by most of you for Obama’s warm friendship with the radical racist and anti-American conspiracy nut Jeremiah Wright, and many of you are crowning him, once again, as the next JFK or Lincoln for “bringing the discussion of race to a higher plane…would it be utterly presumptuous of me to suggest that this should lead to opening a few more cans of worms? I mean, since most of you, with few exceptions, have decided to ignore the lies and contradictions revealed through Obama’s speech and instead trip over yourselves to focus on how “courageous” and “eloquent” his speech was…I’ll concede…let us move on, because there is plenty you have ignored that we can move on to. Jeremiah Wright is not the only radical company that Obama keeps.

You can start by researching his friendship with radical anti-war terrorists from the Weather Underground. Rick Moran has already done the research on Obama’s ties to these unrepentant terrorists for you, so it should be easy enough for you.

In 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of two well known figures on the local left: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

While Ayers and Dohrn may be thought of in Hyde Park as local activists, they’re better known nationally as two of the most notorious — and unrepentant — figures from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.

“I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001.

These radicals helped launch Obama’s political career and just like he did with Wright, his campaign says that he condemns their actions. However, since the press have never pushed this, he has never publicly denounced them or their actions and as far as anyone knows remains good friends. Perhaps we could bring this to the public discussion. I’m sure Obama would be able to take it to a “higher plane” as well.

Once you are finished covering this, perhaps an investigative reporter could do just a little digging into why “hope” was found in the laptop of a terrorist belonging to FARC.

Oh, and we haven’t heard much about his friend Tony Rezko in a while. At least ABC exposed more contradictions from Obama on this weasel.

In the case of his relationship with Rezko, Obama has also been slow to acknowledge the full extent of his relationship.

It was only last week that he revealed Rezko had raised some $250,000 in campaign contributions for him.

The campaign had initially claimed Rezko-connected contributions were no more than $60,000, an amount the campaign donated to charity. Then the figure grew to around $86,000, and there were additional revelations that put the amount at about $150,000. Obama’s $250,000 accounting was a substantial jump and clearly contradicted earlier campaign statements that Rezko was just one of “thousands of donors.”

Rezko is now on trial in federal court in Chicago, charged with a pattern of bribing state officials to obtain various Illinois state contracts. Rezko has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Obama was initially vague about Rezko’s role in helping him buy a new home on Chicago’s south side. Unable to afford an adjacent vacant lot the seller wanted to sell at the same time as the house, Obama approached Rezko. Rezko’s wife bought the lot on the same day Obama bought the house, and then later, Mrs. Rezko sold the Obamas a strip of the lot which gave the Obamas a larger backyard.

Obama called it a “bone-headed” mistake but never revealed, until he met with Chicago reporters last week, that Rezko had actually toured the house with him and been deeply involved in the transaction.

Well, ABC is getting it off to a head start. I’ll be waiting, but not holding my breath, for the rest of the media to follow their lead. How many lies will the media overlook and ignore?

How about his connections to his cousin Odinga? The media haven't reported a peep on that.

Obama and his paternal 1st cousin Odinga, wanted to bring the whole of Kenya under Sharia law. Obama campaigned for Odinga in August of 2006,just before he filed with the US Federal Elections Commission for his presidential candidacy.

How about asking him why his website thought it appropriate to sport the New Black Panthers endorsement?

Wright isn’t the only radical friend of Obama, it seems to be common company he keeps.

I’ll quote Rick Moran to conclude:

Barack Obama is just another politician – devious when he has to be, vague when it suits him, and a liar when necessity calls. May this incident involving Reverend Wright open the eyes of most of those who have lost themselves in Obama’s rhetorical fog so that they can see who and what they are supporting for President of the United States.
