Open Thread: Not Mitt Romney Movement?

By NB Staff | November 07, 2011 | 10:09

A  A

With a number of news organizations labeling former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney "inevitable", a group of conservative bloggers and activists has banded together to demand a different Republican nominee. Their website, Not Mitt Romney, launched yesterday to encourage conservative primary voters to select a different nominee that conservatives are enthusiastic about supporting.

Do you think conservatives can agree on a different candidate? Read bloggers' takes after the break, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

John Hawkins of Right Wing News explained why he helped found Not Mitt Romney:

...[I]f Romney gets elected, which Romney will be President?

Romney 1.0: The left-of-center Republican who was adamantly pro-choice and wasn’t a fan of Reagan or the Contract with America during his run at Ted Kennedy’s seat?

Romney 2.0: The moderate, center-right governor of Massachusetts who left after one term because he would have lost if he ran again in 2006?

Romney 3.0: The fire breathing “conservative alternative” to John McCain who pretended like he was the reincarnation of Reagan?

Romney 4.0: The guy who’s running now, who believes whatever you believe, no matter what you believe?

Remember how Nancy Pelosi said we need to pass Obamacare “so you can find out what’s in it?” Well, is it any different with Mitt Romney? Does anybody really have the slightest idea what he’d do as President? Nobody can even reasonably predict where the guy will be on any issue six months from now, much less what he’ll do if he becomes the leader of the free world. [...]

A lot of conservatives think exactly the way that we do, but they don’t want to take any flack for hammering Romney, think Romney is inevitable, or aren’t in a position where they can risk making the potential Republican nominee for the presidency angry. Well, we can speak out on their behalf and we think that after the Tea Party helped deliver the strongest performance for the Republican Party in 50 years, it’s a mistake to go backwards and select a guy like Mitt Romney as our nominee.

Do grassroots conservatives really want to spend a year defending a flip-flopping hack that we don’t even like? We already have one man running for the presidency whose every promise comes with an expiration date; so does America need two candidates like that? Does this have to be yet another “lesser of two evils” election where people have to hold their nose and choose between two candidates that they don’t want?

Hawkins is working with a number of other prominent conservatives, including Ali Akbar, Matt Mackowiak, Tiffiny Ruegner, and Robert Stacy McCain, to stop Mitt Romney's campaign in favor of a different GOP candidate.

Beyond Not Mitt Romney, other conservatives are also working to end Romney support. Free Republic founder Jim Robinson has explicitly stated his website does not welcome Romney supporters in the past, and has further explained why Free Republic does not support Romney as the GOP nominee.

Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency.

Do you agree that conservatives should find a different nominee besides Mitt Romney?

Obama will be back

Keep it up with this nonsense of flirting with unqualified presidential candidates and Obama will be re-elected. Romney is not perfect, but he can beat Obama easily.

Here's my take

Submitted by ThisnThat on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 11:16am.

I agree. Romney can win.

Conservatives would do well to continue what we did in 2010 -- getting rid of RINOs and dims at all levels of government. By doing that, we will have enough people in influential positions to keep Romney on track. I think he is showing that he can support conservative causes. And by doing so, he's also shown he will be a leader. Contrast this with someone -- like Huntsman, or that idiot "let's be friends with Iran" Paul, who -- if elected -- would not be influenced by conservatives anywhere.

Keep your eye on the goal, conservatives, and do the right thing. This business of "he's not perfect, therefore must be purged" will only lead to disaster. And, I think, doesn't reflect conservative ideas at all.

Have you noticed a pattern?

Submitted by Galvanic on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 9:14pm.

When a front runner pulls ahead of Romney, he/she gets the Palin-treatment from the MSM.

We know most MSM pundits prefer Romney as the GOP nominee and believe that ultimately hs is the only logical choice, yet he is consistently second in the polling. So,

1. Bachmann won a straw poll in Iowa, and the MSM attacked with all guns blazing. She sank in the polls and hasn't recovered..

2. Perry entered the race and shot up way ahead of Romney, but the MSM again attacked with everything they've got, and he's dropped into 4th or 5th and may never recover.

3. Then Cain surprised even the pundits by surging ahead of Romney, and now he's getting beaten down by the MSM.

The MSM is out to destroy everyone who pulls ahead of Romney in order to help him win the nomination. Just like they did McCain, they'll paint him as a reasonable choice who will work with Dems to fix things. But also like McCain, as soon as he locks up the nomination, they'll stomp him down with both feet.

Romney is the MSM's GOP preference because they know that, like McCain, they can knock him down.

Look closely at Romneycare and the rest of his miserable record as Governor of Massachusetts. The only difference between he and Obama is in degree. Romney cannot contrast against the left because he is himself a statist. Moreover, the conservative base will not turn out for Romney. Not only can Romney not win himself, but he will weaken the entire Republican ticket. He is exactly the remedy the Democrats need for their malaise at the polls.

If Herman Cain wins the nomination, he will likely choose Marco Rubio as his running mate. That ticket will simply crush the Democrats all the way down the ballot. It is exactly what the conservative movement needs and is what the MSM fears most. Ergo, Cain will be smeared incessantly. I think they will fail, because the public has had quite enough of their leftist pig swill. When November comes, the only thing a majority of the voters will recall about these sexual harassment charges is their lack of any substance.

They may well have something on Romney . . .

Submitted by Galvanic on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 10:09am.

. . . but what we do know is that if romney is nominated, Obamacare is removed from the list of GOP issues, and Democrats will be much relieved. Defending Obamacare becomes easier when they insist that it's no different than Romneycare.

If Romney is the GOP candidate, Republicans running for Congress will have to explain support for Romney, or essentially run against him. The MSM would love that.

Romney nomination -

Submitted by Agnostic on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 10:28am.

Will be used by the media as a Republican and Independent endorsement of the policies of the Obama administration. The media will be able to draw the parallels between, including ObamaCare, Romney's various stances on issues (when he agreed with President Obama) to promote the Liberal agenda as being widely accepted and make the argument that given more time Obama can do more to "move America forward" than Romney - Don't change horses midstream if you aren't changing directions.

This coupled with the constant fluff pieces for Obama, harping on the Romney flip-flop-flips and the usual "if only the Republicans weren't so divisive" headlines - the media will pull Romney down faster than anything the could have ever done to Cain.  Plus Romney won't have the Palin effect to energize the base.

They think that it will split the conservative Christian vote. Just look at how much Mormonism is still attacked by God fearing righties when it comes up.

How many times have we seen battles on these threads simply because some refuse to let LDS people say they are Christians.

Ross Perot II

Submitted by TangoUniform on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 10:42am.

Keep this garbage up and one of two things will happen with the ultimate same outcome. This will weaken Romney, if he is the nominee to the point you show the opponent (BO) the way to beat him. Ala, Buchannon in the primary with Bush 1, which brought on Perot. Buchannon gave Bushs' opponents the strategey to use against him (both Perot and Clinton), the perception that the economy was in the tank. If Perot had not been in the race, Clinton would probably still be in Little Rock wandering through trailer parks. Or two, hard core conservatives will strengthen their choice "NO Romney" candidate who will then run as an independant or third partier who will siphon enough votes from Romney or whomever and BO will WALTZ in for a win. Look what Nader did for Bush in Florida against Gore. If no Nader, we sure would have Gore.

Probably one of the most important roles the next four year president will have is nominating Supreme Court justices. How will that turn out if BO is still in office?

Keep this up and next November will be a complete disaster for any conservatives and for a shot at the Office. And four more years of what we have now and we will be Greece II. Priority ONE, for me is to rid this country of our Disaster in Chief through the election process. Again, IMHO this movement is a Disaster and will lead us to four more years of the same. Watch and see.

That's your field. I think an exciting VP candidate would stir things up. You could toss in Alan West or Marco Rubio or maybe Michelle Bachmann.A Cain/Gingrich ticket or vice versa. Perry/Rubio. Gingrich/West.

I think a smart move would be for someone to announce a VP early and maybe even pick a few cabinet officers to flesh out a complete ticket for voters to look at. It couldn't hurt and it would also give the candidate surrogates to campaign for him and they could cover more ground.
It could also take the heat off a candidate on their weaknesses as they could answer "Well you would need to run that past my Treasury Secretary" for example.

making the best of a bad situation

Submitted by mom_rox on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 4:51pm.

The Texas Dream Act passed with ~85% of the Republicans in the state legislature voting for it. It's making the best of a bad situation. The fact is that these illegals are not leaving. Gov. Perry cannot deport them, Gov. Brewer cannot deport them, etc. Only the Feds have that authority. As I have said before, this is a tuition break, not a subsidy.

We need to query our candidates on their plan to deal with the illegals currently in the country. I've only heard two so far: Gingrich's was okay/reasonable; Cain's was disappointing (his plan was to let the states handle it - essentially punting the problem - ironically, the same plan that Obama has).

Perry absolutely botched it with his "heartless" comment. I think that was more political suicide than the Dream Act itself.

"...tough luck kid! Your parents broke the law, so now you pay the price! Your parents screwed up and now you can't get an education in the USA!"

Radical,

but must we make this children pay for the crimes of their parents? and there are those who have attended private high schools through scholarships.

If we are broke to pay for the university education of illegal kids whose parents forced them to come here illegally, then we are also broke for all who are legal.

As I have always said, if you are 18 and over and you came here illegally, you are 100% responsible for breaking the law.

If you were 17 or under, specially a 2 year old when your parents forced you to cross the border illegally, you have zero responsibility for the crimes of your parents and we should not hold this kids liable for the crimes of their parents.

The 19 year old whose parents brought him here illegally has the same Right as I to get an education like I did since he never broke the law, his parents did.

I simply cannot agree. The children are profiting from a crime. The U.S. is not responsible for the fate of the children, the parents are. Perhaps if we didn't allow these children to have the advantages of citizenship the parents wouldn't be so anxious to bring them here illegally. I know people who are trying to immigrate legally. They are being discriminate upon by not being allowed to come here when others are.

Radical,

I am one of those immigrants you speak of. I immigrated to the USA legally thanks to my father who is a computer systems engineer. I know exactly what you speak of.

I guess we won't agree. The children are benefiting for the crime their parents committed, not one that they committed. Many children in the USA who are legal benefit from crimes committed by their parents, should we punish American citizen children whose parents committed a crime and it is the children who benefit from the crime?

We must be humane as well as logical, not just one or the other.

I will be honest, I work with a lot of these illegal immigrants who the parents brought them here illegally when they did not have a say.

By the way, I know you are a practicing Roman Catholic. I urge you to look what the Church teaches on this matter. It is neither Republican nor Democrat, but the Moral, Ethical thing to do.

We are in economic troubles, but Mexico and the rest of Latin America are 100% worst than us. We do have a duty, in the eyes of God, to take care of those who have less than us. It is one of the Corporal Works of Mercy.

When parents commit a crime, there are consequences most often suffered by the children. What kind of parents would put their children in jeopardy knowingly?  Parents who sell drugs and get arrested usually have their children taken and put into foster care or the care of relatives. They committed no crime but they pay the price anyway.  It is not being cold toward the children but rather it is parents who care not of consequences. The laws are written in such a way as to deal ONLY with the crime.

Illegals or American citizens who commit crimes are the ones who are irresponsible regarding those dependent upon the adults in their lives. If we stop the crime, we have fewer "victims".

Cajun2, Most of the parents

Submitted by Liberallies on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 10:18pm.

Cajun2,

Most of the parents who cross the Mexican-USA border into the USA are seeking a much, much, much better life than they had in Mexico.

I know countless of families who are decent, warm, caring, incredible families, CONSERVATIVES who crossed the border for the greater good of their children.

Parents who cross the border are so desperate, live in such level of poverty (no American can even come close to relating to the type of poverty that I saw in Venezuela and other Latin AMerican countries) that yes, they ware willing to sacrifice their life and that of their children to achieve the American dream.

Also, two wrongs do not make a Right. Just because American laws, some, make the legal American citizen children pay for the crimes of the parents, it doens't mean that it is Moral or Right. The law does not equate Moral, Ethical, what God wants and demands.

Irresponsible parents? Hmmm...have their children starve to death in Mexico or give them a life, even if illegal, in the USA? What would you do Cajun2 if it were your grandkids? let them starve or give them a chance by bringing them here illegally?

You claim to be a Roman Catholic, look into the teachings on this or rather the position of the Church on this. Children most not pay the price for the crime of their parents, even if coldless, written by men laws make it so.

In an ideal world the laws of men would reflect the laws of God, but I think we can agree that this is FAR from the case now.

and remember, abortion is legal, it is lawful, does this make this law Just, Moral, Right?

Should a child concieved through rape, incest be aborted? pay for the crime of his father? I say no, I know you would say no. So why should they pay once they are out of the womb?

Cocodrie, Preference over

Submitted by Liberallies on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 10:33pm.

Cocodrie,

Preference over American citizens? As far as I know if a Virginian kid moves to Illinois for college they pay out of State tuition for being out-of-state residents. An illegal child living in Illinois is a resident of the State of Illinois, why should they pay out of State tuition? because his/her parents brought them here illegally and the child did not have a say?

A resident of Illinois, in Illinois, pays in-state tuition, an out-of-state resident of of the state of illinois pays out of state tuition in Illinois. A child who was forced to move to Chicago at the mere age of 2 and was raised in Chicago, went to schools in Chicago and applies for college at the age of 17 is an in-state resident. That the law does not say this? well, the law also says that a child in the womb of a mother is not a human being. I am no fan of Unethical, Immoral laws whether they are supported by Republicans or Democrats.

It isn't about Republican or Democratic, it is about what is Moral and Right, what God wants.

An illegal child who was raised in the State of Illinois since the age of 2 is a resident of Illinois in the eyes of God and that is what I care about. What does God see, not what we mere mortals see and make as laws.

We Conservatives care much about the law when it suits our purposes, but we detest it when it makes abortion legal, right? We want it both ways.

Abortion is Morally Wrong, thus Legal or not, it is NOT to be supported. Supporting Abortion Laws is going against the Will of God.

Immigration Laws are immoral and unethical, thus, just like I do not support abortion laws because they go against the Will of God. I do not support immigration laws.

The issue we're talking about is illegal immigration, not abortion. Can we not try to conflate the two?

If my arguments are fallacious, dishonest and red herrings, you should have zero problem destroying them in seconds. But why address them, right? when you know you can't.

and if a child should not pay for the cime of the father when he/she was conceived through rape, why pay once he is outside of the womb?

Oh because there is no difference.

Simple yes or no, should a child pay for the crime of his/her parents? YES or NO?

Everyone is giving me the run about, except addressing this question. Should a child pay for the crimes of his/her parents, regardless of human laws?

or are human laws more important than God's Laws?

The law should be applied equally to everyone. I know it's often not, but it should be and that's what I hope for.

Should a child pay for the crime of his/her parents?  If by "pay" you mean should they be subject to the law, the answer is yes.  As Cajun pointed out, this happens all the time.

Let me ask you a question;  should children benefit from the crimes of their parents?

Submitted by Liberallies on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 11:08pm.

NCcop,

I am in no way, shape or form for open borders. As I tell everyone who I debate who is for open borders. Why don't they open up their home to complete strangers, homeless strangers, before the ask the USA to open up their borders.

However, I have open up my home to homeless children despite what their parents did. I have helped countless of childlren regardless of their parents. Illegal or not, children are to be helped and not be held accountable or made to pay the price for the crime of their parents.

I am against the laws that deport human beings who have committed no crime in the USA, but are here illegaly thanks to their parents bringing them illegaly when they were underage.

No one seems to be willing to answer this question.

As Conservatives who are against abortion we all believe that a child should not pay the price, be murdered because the father raped a woman, right? If the child is conceived through a rape, should the child die? pay for the crime of his/her father?

so, why should a child pay for the crime of his/her father when they are outside of the womb?

26CX,

by the way Conservatives talk about illegal children in the USA, we make it sound a crime that it is as horrible as rape.

So, if it is not, then why do we want to punish the illegal children who were brought here illegaly?

Are the Laws of God superior to that of men? God demands Charity, Justice, Fairness. HOw is it fair to punish a 19 year old who is illegal because his parents brought him/her illegally to the USA? We do not have enough money for it?

If an illegal child forced by his parents to come illegaly pays out of pocket, why should they be charged out of state tuition when they grew up in the State they now want to attend college? Illegals can't use Federal Financial Aid, so if they pay out of pocket, how does this hurt us American citizens that they pay in-state tuition in the State they grew up?

26CX,

Yet, you fail to explain how it is different to punish a child in the inside of the womb vs. punishing them outside when they are illegal. If there is a difference, please show me where I am wrong.

I didn't say that Conservatives see illegal immigration as rape. What I said is that we Conservatives can't claim that a child should not be punished for the crimes of the father when the child is conceived through rape or any other means and the child is unwanted and then turn around and claim that punish a child for being illegal thanks to his/her parents is Moral and Ethical.

No one has been able to answer how is it MOral and Ethical to punish a child for being illegal thanks to his/her parents. All I was told was, "It is the law...", "We are a nation of laws...", "You sound like a Liberal troll...", "Are you against deportation or are you for open borders?" No one has been able to answer how refusing to treat illegal children forced to be illegals into the USA with care, love, charity is Moral and Ethical.

Find, take out the rape, incest. Just tell me how it is Moral or Ethical, good in the eyes of God to punish a child because he is an illegal thanks to his/her parents.

Please don't assume I'm unaware of the responsibilities of my faith. I do charity and give to others. But we cannot help others unless we ourselves are well. We can do more to help others if we are a healthy prosperous country, than we can if we weaken ourselves by applying laws differently to different groups of people. Radical,

I am sorry, your grandparents being immigrants does not give you a first hand experience into how life is as an immigrant in the USA. My children are first generation Americans, I am a Legal immigrant. I hate to put it this way, but no American born citizen has a clue what it is to be an immigrant in the USA, even if your grandparents or other family is an immigrant.

Additionally, I ask you to turn to the part in the Bible where the old lady gives a mere penny. What does Jesus say? She gave much more than those giving in the millions, why? because she gave even when she did not have anything to give and Jesus applauded her action.

We are no where near the level of poverty or economic trouble the rest of America, except Canada, are in and have been. As a country that has so much to give, even in times of economic trouble, we have a responsability to do so. God asks a lot from those whom he gave a lot to. The USA is a nation whom God has rewarded with many gifts and riches. May God have Mercy on our souls when we tell Him we refuse to help the least of our brothers merely because they were illegal children forced to come into the USA.

As I said, I urge you to look into the teachings and stand on the Church on this immigration issue. I can assure you it is neither Republican or Democratic, Liberal or Conservative. It is Moral and Ethical.

I as you Radical, should children who are conceived through rape or incest pay for the crime of the father? If the answer is no, what is the difference in asking the children who were forced to come illegally to pay for the crime of their parents?

Radical,

Insulting? ok, done. c'mon. I disagree with Conservatives on this, always have and now I am insulting? I have always stated this opinion on NB when it comes to immigration. 100% agree with deporting those who came here illegaly as adults. I 100% disagree with deporting children or adults who were forced to come into the USA illegaly by their parents.

You can't tell me you know first hand what it is to be an immigrant in the USA. That is not an insult, but a fact.

A nation of laws? Laws like abortion? Laws like the one who favor women, regardless of what the woman did or did not do, for child custody cases? Laws that protect politicians, give benefits to the politicans that you and I do not enjoy? Laws that demand irrational standards of emissions on cars? Laws that favor a few politicians, like the laws in Chicago? Is this the nation of laws that my fellow Conservatives always refer to? Our laws, our judicial system have become a pathetic and sad joke FAR from what our Founding FAthers intended!

Please point out when I said you are unwilling to help others? If you can cut and paste where i used the words you claim I used, I will apologize. I am saying that as a nation, as a whole, we are not willing to help the children who came here illegaly because of their parents. If you are part of this crowd RAdical, that is on you. If you feel insulted, that is on you. It is not my intent to insult.

Treating children humanely, whether in the womb or outside of the womb is paramount in the eyes of God.

But if it is one place where I find us Conservatives are completely wrong, is in dealing with children or adults, who were brought here illegaly by their parents when they were underage.

They literally escaped from their homeland and entered America with no money and no knowledge of English. And yet, somehow, they managed to gain their citizenship and learn English because they knew that failing to do so would cause problems for them and their children.

In my opinion, if you illegally enter a country and the laws of that country adversely affect your children, then that's your problem and your fault - not that of the country you broke into.

But you are wrong on this argument.  You cannot blame the victim of the crime. The USA started with immigrants. We have taken in immigrants for all of our 4 hundred years including my people.  But you cannot blame a rape victim for her assault because she was wearing a short skirt.  You cannot blame the US because we have a society based upon laws.

The US has laws for all people, we have an economic system that presents opportunities to all equally. Yet, here you are blaming the US for having laws, here you are blaming our economic system not sharing its wealth for the benefit of  a particular group of people. I say let more Somalians into the country legally. They are the true poor, children starving. But if they are from Africa, they must wait 5-7 years to even obtain a visa. Then it takes another 7-8 years and thousands of dollars to become a citizen.  What makes Mexicans more worthy of Africans, or Chinese, or east europeans? Is it poverty? Is it their location? This is why we have laws Liberallies, so that all people are treated the same, subject to the same rules, subject to the same benefits. So that all people have an opportunity to share in the generosity, the wealth and the freedoms of this country.

You cannot tell Americans we dont know anything about being an immigrant. ALL  of Americans started out as immigrants. Millions of people are on a waiting list to come to this country legally. You are saying they should be treated the same as those who come here violating our laws? Should we ignore our laws or perhaps you agree every country should have open borders? Start with Mexico. They shoot people at their southern border, we give them welfare, food, shelter and free education.

Americans argue rightfully so, they we already do more for illegals than we can afford. My brother in law is from Venezuela. He is now an American citizen. You should hear his views on this issue. He is angry that his efforts, years of study, and money spent to become a citizen is being denigrated by those who have no respect for the law. His hard earned wages go for taxes to pay for those who mock his efforts to be a proud American.

Cajun2,

Have you been to Mexico? WOW...I can't believe you just said that poverty in Somalia is worst than in Mexico. Mexico has poverty no American is willing to learn about. c'mon now. True poverty? Have you traveled to the incredibly poor, crime ridden neighborhoods of Mexico, Venezuela? It looks like no since you would have never claimed that the level of poverty found in Somolia is not found in Mexico. Mexico is a nation full of poverty as bad as that in Mexico. Why do you want to give preference to Somolians over Mexicans?

Are you saying that the laws of the USA are superior to the Laws of God? Who cares the USA has laws. Laws like making abortion legal? Is these the great laws you speak of? do you really believe that the laws of men treat everyone equally? and since when is it MOral or Ethicla to treat everyone equally. As I have read countless of Conservatives argue on NB, and I believe it too, treating everyone equally is FAR from fair, Just, Right, Moral.

And if I am blaiming the victim, as you claim. You want innocent bystanders to pay for the crimes of others.

Do you believe that a child conceived through rape or incest be punished for the crime of a father?

do you beleive that a child brought to the USA, forced by his/her parents, be punished for the crime of the parents?

if the first one is no and the second one yes, please explain the difference.

and I guess it is my fault just focusing on Mexicans, but Cajun2, I know Irish, South AFricans, Canadians, English, Venezuelans, Argentinians, etc who are as illegal as Mexicans. Why focus only in Mexicans?

I will argue from the Laws of God point of view never from the laws of men point of view.

and yes, in the eyes of God, the USA has a duty, a Moral duty to share, not as the Liberals use share, but yes, share its wealth with those nations, those human beings who have less.

No offense but you are starting to sound like a liberal troll. You are stretching this argument to children conceived of rape?

To the tenets of the Catholic Church?  What part of "consequences" did you not understand? Only liberals believe that a person who commits a crime should not be responsible for the crime, nor the consequences. Poverty made me do it,  Californias great generosity made me do it, the devil made me do it.   CONSEQUENCES must be taken into consideration  by rational adults and parents as to how their decisions will affect their children. There is severe poverty around the world and you did focus on Mexico. I dont have to travel to China or Iran to know the pain and suffering of those who live under tyranny. How do you measure poverty? How do you measure worthiness for those who live further than our southern border? That was my argument Liberallies, not the fact that they are Mexicans. Haitians, Malaysians, South Koreans, Indians, and many african countries live in abject poverty and die of starvation. Which of these countries should have priority liberallies because they are not fortunate enough to be able to walk a few hundred miles and cross our border? Or do you think only South America should be free to roam the US illegally?

The United Nations, the Peace Corps, and hundreds of other organizations are fully supported by the generosity of the American people in order to help the poor around the world that are not on our border. Don't preach to Americans about our generosity according to Christ's words. We live by these rules every day of our lives.  Others feel free to only follow the rules they choose.

Cajun2,

I sound like a LIberal troll because I disagree with your stance on how the USA should deal with illegal children? really?

and you know, silly me, I fell for your red herring. Cajun2, we are talking about illegal children of Ukranian, Greek, Irish, Iranians, Venezuelans, South Africans, Nigerians, Russians, Polish, Slovakians, Canadians, Mexicans, Argentinians, Hondurans, Somolians, Chinese, Japanese, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. I am talking about ALL illegal children from ALL nations of the world brought into the USA by forced or who over stayed their visa and became illegal because their parents forced them to. The in-state vs. out-of-state tuition applies to all illegal kids regardless of nationality.

We can support all the organizations you named as a nation, but when we treat children like we treat them in the USA, in the womb of their mother, when they are illegal, I can assure you we are not doing the Will of God.

By the way, I am a proud American, thus why would I preach to myself? There are many who do live generosity according to Christ's Words, but there are many too, on both sides of the aisle, who do not. Punishing illegal children because they were forced to come into the USA illegaly or they were forced to over stay their visa by their parents is far from doing the Will of God.

And shoot, if you have the right to preach to Liberals your beliefs as you and we Conservatives do constantly on NB why can't I now preach my opinion on this matter? because I disagree with the majority of NBers, Conservatives on this matter? So, only speak when I agree with Conservatives, is this what Conservatives are becoming or did i read your demand not to preach the wrong way?

I was informed that we are a nation of laws, an argument that I find empty from any Conservatives when our laws included legal abortion, unions ability to abuse, politicians ability to abuse, etc.

A nation of laws which does not attempt to make its laws mirror God's Laws is no nation of laws, but a nation of men who think of themselves as gods. And the USA's laws, as time passes, as history moves along is a nation that with each passing day, with each passing law reflects a God Loving nation less and less.

Of course if we were talking about homosexuality, aborition, and any other issue in which we agree, I wouldn't be a troll, But since I disagree, now I am a troll.

and yes, I apply the tenents of the Church in all aspects of my life including how I vote and treat others, not only when it is convinient for me.

Matthewdean,

Yes, I allegedly jumped the shark because I took on Sacred Cow Conservatives of NB that everyone bows to and kisses their behind. LOL

It is hillarious to read my PMs, private emails from NB members and then come in here are read how NBers act.

As I told a certain someone who did not like it when I informed him/her, there are good, honest NBers who have left because of the bullying, behind the scenes antics and stupidity of individuals like The Vet and others.

but so be it. I enjoy reading NB articles. While I do not comment in all of them. I read most of them and will continue. I will not be run off by children like The Vet and others.

I post hear to state my point of view and opinion. If others listen, do not listen, care or do not care, want to reply or not, guess what....I don't care.

If someone engages me that I find interesting, I will reply, if not, well so be it.

Who cares The Vet. You'll live longer if you weren't such a Troll. But link, link, link away. NO doubt that soon as you did last time you attempted to take me on, you will claim that I didn't realize you were linking me to YOUTUBE videos. wrong again liberallies*

Submitted by cajun2 on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 12:34am.

No one here at NB stated that the children are to be punished. Rather, it is you who says that those that violate the law should not have to suffer consequences of their behavior.  The children of illegals pay the price not because of our laws but because their parents VIOLATED our laws.  That is called a consequence.

What I meant by preaching liberallies is that many of us at NB have knowledge and life experiences that you either missed or you are unaware because you only pay attention to your own words. Thus you feel free to insult NBers as though we are cold and unfeeling.

You see Liberallies, for 3 decades I worked as a social worker in child protective services and have seen poverty, held dying babies in my arms, finding shelter and safety for thousands of children.  Not because they broke the law, but their parents did. When parents refuse to take responsibility for their actions, others often pay the price. Generally that is the ones most dependent upon those adults.  Not the laws Liberallies, but those willing to violate the laws.

If you believe that violating certain laws are acceptable,  then you are espousing liberal beliefs. If you demean others while disagreeing, if you reach with strawmen arguments then it does make you sound like a troll.  Yes some of our laws are difficult to live with, ie abortion. But we are a nation of laws to protect not just punish. Those who seek a better life by violating our laws and those who excuse that behavior is why we have millions of illegal immigrants in our prisons who committed violent crimes. Lax enforcement allows garbage in as well as those seeking a better life.

It is not the fault of the law Liberallies, it is the fault of those willingly violating the law. Our laws are built on justice and equality, and Christian values. To say that ALL our laws must be based on God's word from a Catholic point of view will see anger from agnostics, atheists, Muslims, and those who follow other beliefs. That is what makes our country great. Laws for all men, created equal, not just Catholics, heterosexuals, or illegal immigrants. If we follow your thinking, then Sharia Law has as much  legal opportunity to overtake this country.

To demean others views, to insult by stating that we do not follow God's laws if we do not agree with YOU, is why you often anger even  those at NB who are more open minded  than most conservatives.

As Ms Rad stated earlier, cajun is also done with you Liberallies.

Cajun2, 1) Yes, I beleive

Submitted by Liberallies on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 1:04am.

Cajun2,

1) Yes, I beleive in violating certain laws, mainly abortion laws. Do you believe in supporting, accepting and practicing abortion laws? Sorry, this whole thing that because it is the law it is ok IS a Liberal tenent. The Laws of Man are FAR from being the Laws of God, specially in today's nations.

We as Christians have a duty to violate any and all human laws which do not conform to God's Laws. Period, end of story. This is not an attack on anyone, this is a reality, a fact. We are to do it peacefully and with no violence, but we are not to follow, respect or obey laws like abortion, euthanasia, etc.

Sharia Law? nice red herring! If we are to follow your logic, then laws based on atheist beliefs are ok. Shoot, why fight laws that are unjust, unfair, unethical, immoral. It is a nation for all. You have truly fallen for the Liberal propaganda. You want laws which are multicultural, geez because that has worked so well in Europe and any other place where it has been tried.

No, not only Catholic, Christian values, morals, ethics. Most Christian beleifs are very similar. Our laws should be based in what our Founding Fathers intended them to be based, Judeo/Christians values. Or do you disagree with the Founding Fathers?

2) Yes, the parents violated the laws. While there are consequences and many will suffer because of the parents breaking the law, we should do everything within our power, as Christians, to diminish the bad consequences when these also fall on innocent victims, mainly children. And our immigration laws are not a mess? Our immigration laws, politicians playing games and parents are what allows many of these messes to happen. Have you dealt with immigration, with immigration laws first hand? Have you?

you also do not now me, my life experience or anything about me. I lived and breathed the immigration laws. I have seen how poorly immigration is run. I have seen how an immigration officer can destroy the life of a family because he/she has a bad day and she/he wanted to take it out on someone.

The problem is that too many on both sides of teh aisle believe that the law should be cold and not Just. As I argued with a professor who was a judge. A law that does not take into account true justice, is no law at all. To apply the law unilateral, equally on everyone is not Justice at all.

Again, you seem to do to me what you claim I do to you. You do not know me, yet you put intentions, reasons behind what I say.

Yes, unfortunately parents do stupid, moronic, unethical, immoral stuff all the time that gravely affects their children. Through my jobs, through my volunteer work I have seen this many more times than any human being should see. Are you saying we should just raise our hands up in the air and say, shoot...it is the parents faults, not the law, chidlren you now will suffer the consequences of your parents poor actions with none of our help. How is this Christian?

No, our duty, our Moral duty is to do everything within our power to make sure that the bad, evil consequences of the parents breaking the law have very little consequences on the child. Any law that does not do this, it is an immoral law.

I don't get it, all I hear is that we are a nation of laws and then all I hear is that immigration laws are a mess, abortion laws are a mess. Which one is it??

3) I diminish others, others' views? I am sorry, I did no such thing. That people read more into emotionaless words than they should or they can't answer honest questions is not my fault.

You, and quite a few others love to tell Liberals how they do not follow God's teachings and Laws, but if you/they feel that the same is said about them they then claim it is an attack. So, it is an attack when you feel it is done on you, but not when you and other Conservative NBers do it. Completely surreal.

Stop putting words into my mouth, Cajun2, I never said that those who violate the law should not suffer the consequences. Please point to where I said this. I said that the children of those who break the law should not suffer, should not be punished by the law for their parents evil deeds.

What I have said is that children should not suffer the consequences of their parents breaking the law. If you are going to state my point of view and claim what I said, please make sure you do it accurately and you do not lie. Thanks!

Not to mention that you lied about what my argument has been all along.

My points of view....

1) Adults, pay and suffer the consequences of your actions, breaking the law, etc.

2) Children whose parents broke the law should be helped, cared for and we as Christians must do everything within our power to make sure the consequences that these children suffer are the least horrible and that these children do not suffer thanks to their parents.

3) NEVER did I say or have I ever believed that those who break the law should not suffer the consequences.

But nice of you to misinterpret my beliefs.

You have gone on about a lot of things on this thread but you haven't essplained how the cirizen of another country who is not a citizen of this country can be consideres a citizen of a state within this country. And by the way, since they are illegal they are criminals.

Since you consider god's law, Jesus said "Render to Caesar those things that are Caesars" In other words - obey the law. Immigration laws are not immoral and should be obeyed.

Submitted by Liberallies on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 1:35am.

Cocodrie,

Nope, a child who is forced to break the law is not a criminal. In fact, anyone, adult or child, who is forced to break the law and has no choice in the matter is not a criminal.

The Laws of Man must reflect the Laws of God.

Yes, and Jesus also said, "Love others as you love yourself" Treating illegal children as criminals because their parents broke the law is FAR from following any of God's Laws.

Would you say to a Pro-Lifer, "Render to Caesar those things that are Caesars" If you are a Conservative, nope.

Immigration Laws ARE 100% immoral when it comes to how they deal with illegal children.

Jesus also said by the fruits you shall know what is good or bad. No good fruits come out of immigration laws that deal with illegal children.

The funny thing is that no one, except one individual, bothered to ask me my full view on immigration.

What I have said in most of this forum has to do with immigration laws and illegal children.

The Vet, The more you,

Submitted by Liberallies on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 1:29am.

The Vet,

No one is obligated to answer to my posts or any other post. They are allowed here on NB to state their point of view, as much as I am allowed by NB.

This is not about winning an argument, this is about stating facts, facts that many of my fellow Conservatives feel uncomfortable with and they take it personal. Not my fault that this happens.

I stated honestly and whole heartly what I beleive and responded to posts with the same honesty. If Conservatives have become cherry pies who crumble at the sight of disagreement, that is not on me. But I will sure to pass it along that disagreement will be met with charges of insults, claims of being diminished, etc.

The more you, Cajun, and others speak about how immigration works and what people do or do not know the more you show how little you guys know about immigration.

Come to Chicago where Polish, Irish, Germans, Indians, Chinese, Ukranians, Russians, Venezuelans, Argentinians, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc constantly over stay their visas even with chidlren. But since you haven't seen this or your logic tells you this is not so, well it isn't so. How little you know about immigration, how it works and what people do, politicians, immigrations officers, parents which gravely and negatively affect children.

but heck, since it is the law, it is ok to let the children suffer. It is not the law, right Cajun, since it is the parents, let the children suffer.

Cajun and The Vet, you are clueless to what I have done for a living or my experiences. I would urge you not to put your foot in your mouth as you did last time you attempted to take me on.

I admire your passion, and respect your tenacity even if I disagree with the points you make.

Not this time.

While you are most certainly entitled to believe as you choose regarding what is or is not moral regarding the treatment of children of illegals, your locomotive -  as far as common sense and legality, has completely left the rails.

Regardless of what you have done for a living, or what your experiences have been, why use either as an excuse to cast aspersions on others here as though they are merely examples of a tabula rasa?

Matthewdean, It was Cajun2

Submitted by Liberallies on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 1:59am.

Matthewdean,

It was Cajun2 who informed me of what I believe and what I don't. It was her who informed me that because of her work experiences she knew more than me. I just returned fire with fire. If she is going to quote her life experience in order to give her point of view some type of authority, I can do the same thing. However, as you have proven, life experience does not equate to being Right, correct.

But I can assure you that I have had 100% more experience with immigration than anyone who has engaged me so far.

I stated my opinion and unfortuantely, some took it personal.

My opinion, what I think, my beliefs, what is in my mind is that it is Morally and Ethically wrong, regardless of the law how illegal children are treated and how some Conservatives believe illegal children should be treated.

It is your opinion that I am not using common sense. As for legality, I agree with you. I believe that the current immigration laws are 100% wrong on so many levels. Funny no one has bothered to ask me about this. They have made assumptions about it.

My disagreement is simply that if you are 17 or under when you were forced to come into the USA by yoru parents, you should not be held accountable. We as a nation should help the illegal child and make sure that the parents illegal actions do not harm this child.

Other than that, I stand whole heartly with Conservatives. 18 and over, you break immigration laws and are caught you should be deported.

No one has been able to tell me where my logic has gone wrong other than to tell me I am thinking like a Liberal troll, we are a nation of laws, to claim that I somehow insulted them and said that they do not practice the word of God. The Vet is stuck on attempting to get under my skin. Good for him. It didn't work last time and it won't work this time. I don't take The Vet that seriously anymore.

Honestly, I may be stuck on stupid. Just help me see where I am wrong and I will gladly follow.

I believe that God wants us to treat the most vulnerable of His Creations, children, with Love, Care, Justice, Mercy. Just like I 100% disagree with abortion, I 100% disagree with having a college student pay out of state tuition or be deported because he/she was brought illegaly to the USA by his/her parents. And as I said, illegals do not get Federal Financial Aid, this means that they MUST pay out of pocket. So, how does this affect you or me that they pay in-state or out of state. At least they are not using Title IV funding and forcing me to pay for their education, right? Like countless of college kids who are American ctiziens.

illegals do not get Federal Financial Aid.

Part of the reason California is going bust is because of the strain of giving financial "aid"  to illegals.  Food, medical services, etc.  Welfare dependency is bad enough when limited to citizens; to even consider providing subsistence or assistance at any level related to schooling, for illegal aliens, is insane.

I have no problem with you being your brother's keeper or the keeper of children in the realm of Love, Care, Justice, or Mercy - but I will not personally take that responsibility upon my shoulders in place of  the illegal alien parents of illegal alien children who have opted to risk their children's future stability in life by breaking the law.

Your "100% more experience with immigration" than anyone who has engaged you so far is apparently in emotional histrionics, as opposed to the desire to see all laws obeyed equally by those who enter your adopted country.

Matthewdean, You make some

Submitted by Liberallies on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 1:41am.

Matthewdean,

You make some good points. It is true that in California, Illinois (Chicago mainly) illegals have put a strain in the States economy. I do not disagree. It IS the fault of the parents, but it is also the fault of the politicians, Democrats AND Republicans who are unwilling to do what is Right.

I will just mention that I believe applying the law equally to all is not fair, it is not Just, it is not Merciful. . Everyone needs to be treated fairly, justly and with mercy not equally.

I have never liked the fact that in the USA, the law is blind to justice. As I heard Judge tell a friend of mine who is a lawyer, and it is the line that completely turned me off from becoming a lawyer, "It is a court of law, not a court of justice" American law, even as admitted by many lawyers and judges, is not concerned with justice, it is concerned only with the letter of the law. This, in my humble opinion, is very, very wrong. We should seek justice, not merely stick to the letter of the law.

I wrote my Senator just a while ago about the not fairness.

Submitted by The Vet on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 2:43am.

I told him it is not fair that illegal aliens do not get discounted tuition rates at colleges. Illegal aliens should be getting discounted rates everywhere for everything. That would be fair.

The first discounted rate I told him they need to fix is that discounted rate at Dennys for senior citizens. Illegal aliens should get that too. I mean why punish them just because their parents were father rapers or whatever it was you said yesterday about father rapers. I emailed him all your posts so he knows.

STOP PUNISHING THE ILLEGAL ALIEN CHILDREN, GIVE THEM THE SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT AT DENNYS. THEY HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH.

Mexico is NOT a third world country

Submitted by Blonde on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 11:25am.

Everyone should disabuse themselves of that notion right now.

In comparison to many of the other countries of Latin America, Mexico is a wealthy country. Their roads are fine, high speed internet is common. They don't have tens of thousands of people living in the dump like in Managua. Their laws against illegals are draconian compared to ours.

I don't know why people can't understand that.

Cajun2,

Call Blonde ignorant? You do love to assume what I think, believe. Not only did you lie yesterday about what I think about immigration and how I supposedly thing people who break the law should not take responsability, now you attempt to claim that I will attack Blonde.

No, sorry Cajun, the loons are you, The Vet and quite a few other Conservatives on NB who believe that if you do not tow the Conservative line on everything then you are wrong and not a good Conservative.

I am sorry that you have proven to be such a a lunatic.

Kind of sad that you and quite a few others Conservatives on NB act no different than the loons in the DailyKos.

Next time, don't lie about what I have said in my posts. Sorry that you can't handle the truth.

Not taunting. Serious. Give me a smiley. That shows we got the yuck yucks. Not taunting. Not egging. No. You is serious. Call someone else a liar. Show how serious you are. Put down someone else by claining they are bad conservatives or bad Catholics or don't care about children. That just beams the seriousness to all the corners.

Oh and don't forget to throw the Spanish at me even though I don't speak it. That shows you are mega mega mega serious. Us all not serious like you, yeah, no serious. Just you. You. Blonde, My wife is a Mexican

Submitted by Liberallies on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 1:29am.

Blonde,

My wife is a Mexican born and educated, a lawyer and a master degrees in international business in one of the best universities in Mexico and she agrees with you.

She schooled me last night and today on how Mexico is not full of abject poverty no where near the poverty found in Africa. And just like you said, compared to many other Latin American nations, it is doing very well. However, as I challanged her and she agreed, when compared to the USA, Mexico is not doing so great.

Yes, the big cities, Monterey, Guadalajara, Mexico City, etc have sophisticated road systems, high speed internt, etc, but once you move into the rural areas, you find poverty that is not found in the USA. Additionally, the poverity found in Mexican cities is not found in the USA and neither is the level of crime and murder. The poor neighborhoods in the USA are 5 star hotels when compared to the poor neighborhoods in Mexico.

Additionally, Mexico is slowly, but surely turning into a Colombia with the drug wars going on there the goverment vs. the drug lords, drug lords vs. drug lords. Again, something not found in the USA.

Mexican immigration laws ARE draconian and a monstrocity. How the Federales and local cops treat illegal immigrants is beyond pathetic, it is inhumane.

All this being said, according to sources, about 54% and in other sources 44% of Mexicans live below the poverty line. Here are two sources to start with, http://www.explorandomexico.com/about-mexico/6/107/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty_in_Mexico

This level of poverty is not found in the USA.

As I told my wife after she was done schooling me. If Mexico is doing so well, if the Mexican economy is so magnificant, why is it that my wife, her friends, her family quite a few very well educated with law degrees, doctor degrees, etc. moved to the USA because they could not find a job in Mexico?

As in so many Latin American countries the number one employer in Mexico is....the government. That is not a good sign for any nation.

so, yes, compared to a lot of other Latin American nations, Mexico is doing better, but I don't think that is a good measure of how good the economy of a nation is doing. But as I told my wife, that is my humble opinion.

Fut

Submitted by Blonde on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 2:52am.

I don't know when the last time your wife was in Mexico, but I spent quite a bit of time there last year....and even small cities, in the poorest state (Chiapas) have high speed internet (not everywhere, but available), and good roads. The "poverty" in Mexico is nothing like the poverty in the rest of Central America. There is no starvation. The idea that Mexico is a poor country, full of people willing to do slave labor in the U.S. is a fallacy. Almost every male Mexican I met there, last year, who spoke fluent English had spent some time in the U.S. (illegally of course, but this was never a point of the conversation). Most were young men of good families...the culture there is so much different than ours, but the jist of it is that these men left Mexico, to make their own way for a bit, gain experience, and build a small nest egg...to return "home" and begin life there.

The drug war (and by extension the muling of illegals into this country) is a problem that is not going to be easily solved. It (the drug war) is really a civil war. I don't know how it will be solved. I've blogged about it a bit. A discussion for another day, Fut.

I'm not going to get into the "poverty line" argument...but even in the most rural communities, there is electricity, and plumbing (unlike other countries I've visited). Maybe no plasma TV's and iPhones....but "poverty" in Mexico is still a decent life.

Mexico is a land of opportunity, unfettered by regulations as we are here. However, it is an oligarchy....an extremely structured society...there is upward mobility to a POINT.

Fut....you should have your wife take you on an extended tour of Mexico. It is a most amazing and beautiful country....with the most gracious people on this planet. If you think you were schooled last night, wait until you get there and see it for yourself!!!

And, alas, there are (most unfortunately) militant and communist elements within that society, as we have here, who believe they have been ROBBED of some sort of birthright (a small faction, but there, nonetheless)...these are the people who are INVADING the U.S.A. The La Raza group.

I understand your contention about the children of illegals, Fut. But you are wrong. They are children of illegals.....it is their parents' fault that they are THAT. They should not be afforded the special privilege of in-state tuition. These children have been given the benefit of OUR (citizens; and legal aliens') hard work, having provided them with basic education and health care...to DEMAND the special consideration of in-state tuition is a non-starter. I understand your POV, but you are wrong. The parents of these children could take their kids back "home" (whether to Mexico, Guatemala, wherever) and send them to university there.

I really hope you are able to stand back from your position, with a cool, clear head, and try to understand what everyone here is saying to you. I've known you (here) for a long time, and I understand your passion, and compassion. But as a citizen of the U.S., you should consider that your position as you've stated it here, is short-changing those who, by their birthright as U.S. citizens, are being stolen from. Harsh, I know. But that is the reality of it.

And to the rest of the NB'ers here, who have been hammering Fut (aka LL), give it a rest, OK? He's a great guy, a good conservative.

And fut, please apologize to Cajun.

Everyone else...sort it out yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Submitted by RESTLESS 1 on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 9:25am.

I think you and Fut are comparing apples and oranges a little. Fut is comparing Mexico, (re. poverty), to us and Canada, and you are comparing it to Central and South America. In a sense, this make you both right.

I do think Fut makes a good point in that comparing Mexico to countries south of her is not a good comparison. Mexico is full of natual resources and beauty, much like America. That they are behind the US and Canada by such a wide margin is disgraceful, and an indictment of her government, (as is the drug war IMO, but I digress).

Fut, I have to disagree about in-state tuition for children of illegals. I go even further, and think they should not be able to attend an American university or college until such time as the become legal. Maybe this means putting them at the front of the line for legal status, but only AFTER we get serious about enforcing our immigration laws and securing the border.

I am all for making legal immigration less costly and time consuming for people that wish to come here, but we must have accountability from immigrants, and we must know who they are.

Submitted by Blonde on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 11:10am.

Mexico is NOT "disgracefully behind" the U.S. People have an idea that it is perhaps 50 years behind, and that just is not true. It used to be that it took six months to two years to get telephone service, for instance. That is no longer the case. There are state of the art bridges, etc. The old buses with chickens on the roof are a thing of the past. The government has sunk billions into infrastructure to provide high speed internet throughout the country. That was my point. Most people still think Mexico looks more like Nicaragua, where it still IS a 3rd world country....there is electricity, but in order to charge a cell phone, it might be necessary to walk fifteen miles to do so.

I agree with you absolutely about the illegal situation. It is insane to grant amnesty and special privileges whilst there are so many people who are queued up legally, following the rules, trying to obtain residency while following the rules.

Hi Blonde, My wife is from

Submitted by Liberallies on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 12:35pm.

Hi Blonde,

My wife is from San Jose De Ramos in Durango, Mexico. A rural small town in Mexico. Small towns in Mexico are different than small towns in the USA, very different. My wife goes back every year to visit family and friends. She has seen her small town move up in technology. They went from no phone, to now having one phone in the town. As for internent, they do not have it. Sadly, though, the town has emptied out with most families moving to the USA.

To be honest, I know incredibly good people who are good productive individuals to society who are in the situation that I explained in the above posts. Mom and dad brought them into the USA when they were merely 2 years old to escape poverty. Today they are in their mid-20s. They did everything right. Attended elementary school, graduated top of their class in high school. They have not committed a crime, they have been squeaky clean, they have volunteered and helped American citizens. They have worked earning cash, never stolen anyone's identity. They have been much more productive and usuful to society than countless American citizens. He/she could easily marry an American citizen and become legal this way, however, he/she will tell you that marriage is for love and to create a family, not to use it for one's convinience. He/she wants a college education. They want to become engineers, doctors, lawyers, architects, etc., but because mom and dad screwed up, they are screwed. It is not easy to legalize yourself when you were brought into the USA illegaly when you were a child. I know the law, but whether it is immigration or any other law, our laws should not be blind to justice. I can't tell these now 20some year old adults, tough luck, your parents screwed up, no matter what you did or did not do, tough luck, go back to Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Venezuela, etc. A culture, a nation and a language that they barely know. Yes, they may not be American citizens by law, but by culture, language and their deeds, they are as American as you and I.

I am all for deporting anyone and everyone who commits a crime, but a 2 year old can't break the law. These now, 20some year olds, who were brought illegaly when they were minors, toddlers, babies, did not break the law, their parents did.

I 100% understand everyone's point that we can't take from Americans if we do not have it. I completely understand this and agree. But we can't turn our back on children of illegals because the parents are the one's who committed a crime. Just like we can't turn our back on children of murderers, alcoholics, rapists, etc. We must do everything within our power to make sure that the crimes of the parents do not negatively affect the children. I do not care what the crime is, the children must not receive the punishment because of the parents actions. We live in an unfair and unjust world, I know this, but we must do everything within our power to bring the Kingdom of God to Earth and make sure that in our human way, we seek and administer to others Justice, Compassion and Mercy.

Hey, maybe I am too close to this issue to think with a clear and level head. I think I am, others here think I am not. That's ok. I never ment to tell anyone they were not good Cahtolic, didn't practice, etc. I am unsure why people took it that way. Radical is a great individual. I just wanted to point her out to the Roman Catholic stand on this which is not, "take the side of illegals", rather it is, "we must deal with the illegal immigration issue in a Just, Humane, Merciful, Compassionate way".

I apologize to both Cajun2 and Radical1979 for making them feel that they are not good Roman Catholics or good people. It was never my intention to do it. For this, I am deeply sorry.

I do believe that Cajun2 mistated my position when she claimed that I do not want adults to face and live the consequences of their actions. She claims I am too busy with my own words to read anyone else. Sorry, from her statements, it looks like it was her who was too busy attempting to prove me wrong instead of taking a step back and attempting to understand my point of view. I never claimed that adults should not face the consequences of breaking the law. This is categoraly not true. It is never what I stated or wrote. It doesn't even come close to how I think, operate or what I teach my children. Also, I did not call her a loon or any other name until after she called me a loon. Yes, two wrongs do not make a right and I do apologize for calling her a lunatic, never good to insult anyone regardless of how one feels or what the other person said first.

This is can be and with some has been a good back and forth. Unsure why anyone, including me, has to take it personal. I can only speak for myself, but I did not mean to insult anyone, well until after Cajun called me a loon.

I agree Blonde, I have to take a step back and understand, at a minimum, your point of view on this. 100% agree, but it goes both ways. Cajun, Blonde and others should also take a step back and attempt to at least understand my point of view on this. We do not have to agree, but we can at least understand each other.

Submitted by Blonde on Wed, 11/09/2011 - 1:17pm.

When we were in Honduras (holed up and trying to figure out how to bust the border due to the stupidity of the bureaucrats who had failed to enter our paperwork into THEIR computer system)....we met a really nice guy who was working at the hotel.

He was married to an American citizen, but he had to stay in Honduras until his paperwork went through our system, which was going to be about two years, until he could be in Nebraska legally. He hated the fact that he couldn't be with his family, now, but he didn't want to start his life in the U.S. illegally, which he could have done, no problem.

IMO, it is not fair to give anyone an unfair advantage. Get to the back of the line, just like everyone else. That goes for the kids of illegals who grew up here, too. I understand where you're coming from, fut, I do. Anyhoo, I hope we can smooth over everyone's hurt feelings, here.

Please, can you talk to her tonight and come tomorrow and school us too. Because we just can't believe that Mexican poverty can be as bad as the poverty in Mexico. Can it?

Also, when you are talking to your wife, can you ask her about this as well?

Liberallies: As in so many Latin American countries the number one employer in Mexico is....the government.

Can that be right? Are you sure? Really? It just does not seem possible. Government the largest employer? Nooooooo.

In 2008, the Federal Government, excluding the Postal Service, employed about 2.0 million civilian workers. The Federal Government is the Nation's single largest employer.

It is not like the government is the largest employer or one of the largest employers in EVERY SINGLE NATION ON THE PLANET.  No, you had to be giving us some profound wisdom there we just can't comprehend. So, please check with your wife and get back to us tomorrow so we can know how serious you were.

Submitted by UpNorth on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 9:26pm.

you don't have to go looking for illegals to deport, they will self-deport if they think that their employers have to check their status and SS #'s, and that their kids schools will have to check on mom and/or dad's status.  Check the reports of Arizona and Alabama losing illegals and California gaining, perhaps because California will give them money for school, welfare money, and free health care.  And, California won't hassle the illegals for being there, illegally?

And, Cain's plan has no resemblance to Obama's, the Ear Leader's plan is to do nothing, grant amnesty  and to keep the states from doing anything, when it comes to illegals in the country.

To re-elect Obama would be like the Titanic backing up and hitting the iceberg again.

I said it before and I'll say it again...

Submitted by Ashrak on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 10:55am.

I am voting for Sarah Palin. Maybe I will be stand alone in this God Forsaken basket case state called Illinois but that is OK with me.

There is no "forced to vote for the lesser of two evils" only a con job pushing that notion. Folks vote for whomever they choose to. The "lesser" argument is nothing more than an attempt at absolution of responsibility for their own votes.

Romney? Absolutely Not! There is not one person who is a declared candidate on the debate stages so far who is worthy of sitting behind the Resolute Desk. The closest is Newt, as a matter of intelligence, but then, he had his chance as Speaker and he dropped the ball on the promises he made. In the end, after election, he bowed to party politics just like the rest.

Many are on the Cain Train. Well many were on the OBama train too, and they found out what was inside after he was "passed". Folks will find the same about Cain. Here is the tell tale sign....

When someone says that government is empowered to issue and deny permission slips, where exercise of inalienable rights are concerned, they are not worthy. They are then not defenders of the republic or what it was crafted to protect and defend.

Like the others, Cain is on the government controls all and "allows" what it wants to without boundary.

I disagree that Romney has no core values. His core values are focused on one thing, much like the others in this "race", self-aggrandizement. Romney says and does whatever he thinks politically expediently in the moment, and boy howdy does he hold that core principle dear!

George Washington warned us all about political faction. Things in this country, especially our rights, will continue to deteriorate until such time as people listen to his offered wisdom.

One more thing about Cain- he is talking a good game, but he keeps hitting brick walls with his own words. Why is that? It is because he is talking a good game - when America and her people need a straight talker who isn't willing to play the game anymore.

The next election of the Office of President will decide if our Constitution makes it or if it falters entirely. Why? Because the Supreme Court will be set for a good three decades after the next term. If a progressive is elected, and make no mistake Romney is exactly that, then progressives will be appointed and the Constitutional protections we all thought we had are officially extinct.

Year after year I witness how much authority the supposed "Independents" have, that they decide election after election. Well, it is time for "Independents" to turn away from political parties and VOTE for someone OUTSIDE them, someone who refuses to bow to their control measures and refuses to go along to get along.

We will only get the representation that we vote for, and when we vote for a lesser of two evils we vote evil into position of authority. The only way to get it out is to REFUSE to vote for it.

Mind your vote, folks.

That an individual right exists requires that some policy positions be removed from the table of debate.

My husband has commented that Romney seems to be nearly "scandal free". I contend that's only because MSM has held back on Romney and are essentially herding the RNC toward the one candidate who'll likely generate the most apathy. In the end I believe it will be voter apathy that will give Obama his second term.

Romney is the most visionless band-aid of a cold fish I've yet to consider voting for. But I don't care.

I agree kata...that's why I keep saying Republicans have got to go to the polls and vote for the R candidate, even if they have to hold their noses to do it. This is how Democrats win. No matter how disaffected (think Bill Clinton and blacks angry over welfare reform) they go to the polls and punch the ticket for the Democrat. Republicans are the ones likely to get angry and stay home (or vote third party or write-in) if they don't get the candidate they want.

Romney needs to take off the elephant suit and switch parties

Submitted by Dave. on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 5:02pm.

There is nothing even remotely conservative about this professional politican.

Anyone who would vote for government control of health care at any level has no business in the Republican Party, and sure as hell doesn't need to be in the White House.

Romney might slow the bleeding, but no way he would be able to stop it, and more importantly, begin reversing the damage that has been done to our nation to this point.

Any more compromising with those across the aisle is going to sink us for good.

We might be sunk already: Has anyone heard Romney talk about this?

Neither have I.

Thanks primarily to Bill Clinton, our constitutional rights are evaporating and our sovereignty eroding as our country is now being stolen right out from under our noses, and most of the dumbMass sheeple do not even realize it is happening - and probably won't until it is too late to do anything about it.

And unless something decisive is soon done about it, it isn't going to much matter what else happens - be it good or bad.

The only presidential candidates I have heard address this are Gingrich, Cain and Bachmann.

~Romney is a far worse threat than Obama

Submitted by Wrathful Brunette on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 4:38pm.

Obama, as an avowed enemy of conservatism, demonstrates every day what the other side is, and is not, made of. The longer he does this, the more unpopular it has and will become.

Romney will give lip service to conservatism while betraying it at every turn, and so muddy the waters that conservatism will become anathema just as liberalism is becoming under Obama. At all costs, we must fight for as truly conservative a candidate as possible, at every level. As long as we hold our noses and support any pompous, elitist piece of trash as long as he has an R after his name, the GOP establishment will keep trotting them out there.

The Presidency is not everything. If we get a solid majority of TEA party candidates into Congress, they can cripple Obama even if he does manage to cheat his way back in. Let's not lose sight of the fact that Obama's Presidency has almost single-handedly revived Constitutional conservatism; we musn't let Romney, or someone like him, to come in and poison it now.

Let me close with this...

Submitted by vrwc13 on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 8:20pm.

Facts are Cain has:

  • at least four different women claiming inappropriateness
  • there are witnesses to at least one of the instances of the first three, meaning he did some of this in front of others
  • he is being vetted for a reason
  • he has much to gain , therefore much to lose

They too:

  • will be vetted now
  • with little or nothing to gain

I need to:

  • re-state my original point "about (as in prediction) to implode (from within)"
  • know that time will tell on all involved
  • go home

You refuse to accept that these women may have (and two already have) something to gain. You have made up your mind without hearing the details and facts. You have used accusations to declare Cain guilty. I pray you don't work in our legal system.

Inappropriateness and harassment are wildly different things. I had a neighbor make a gross bathroom joke to me. It was inappropriate, but not harassment.

What exactly did the witnesses witness?

Out of the 4 only 2 have anything to back up their allegations, settlements from the 90's, yet they aren't giving any details what soever.

Any body else that makes claims now is only trying to cash in. As their is absolutely no way to prove their allegations. And it is impossible to disprove them because you can't prove a negative.

You are judging Herman Cain by the accusations of unknown people concerning unknown circumstances. The people and the circumstances may not even esist or esist only in the lies of liberal democrats. The fourth accuser is represented by a well known lying democrat hack who will stop at nothing to discredit a conservative.

You need to be careful of stones that you throw and read a little more about what Jesus said concerning judging.

We actually get storms called "blizzards" during which people are advised to stay at home unless they are doctors/nurses/ etc. And no, most people don't clean their sidewalks in the middle of the blizzard, with snow whipping around horizontally due to the wind. It's useless.

Snowblowers become clogged and inoperable during blizzards.

When we get snowstorms and blizzards it's always with some shock, as though we don't get them 5 years out of 7. News crews go out and report on the snow fall, and most people here don't know how to drive in the snow. I'm not very good at it, but at least I know it, and leave the driving to my husband who knows what he's doing.

Yet if you're not up on the roof knocking snow/ice off during a good blizzard you might find the weight of the snow caving in your roof. You probably want to keep it off your car too, so you can find it when the snow finally stops.

Additionally your snow blower will be much easier to use if you're clearing 6" - 1' of snow hourly than 5' of snow after the storm.

Ever see 3 feet of snow fall in 24 hours? 5-6 feet in a week? Believe it or not, 5 feet of snow piling on your roof is a mighty lot of unplanned-for weight. 6 feet of snow buries the car entirely. Better be digging it out regularly if you ever want to see it in one piece, bc snow plow drivers don't care if they take off your mirrors...or worse.

In the book The 5000 Year Leap: Principles of Freedom 101, the author states in Part II: 3rd Principle: Virtuous and Moral Leaders - "A modern American cannot read the writings of such men as Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, or Washington without feeling a certain sense of pride the the United States produced and had available leaders of this supreme quality (virtue and morals) to launch the first "noble experiment" for freedom in modern times."

First remember we are only talking about scandals and not the actual guilt or innoncence. Actually the existence of a false scandal is more appropriate to the conversation. In Jefferson's case it is the long believed accusation that he had a child with a slave. In the context of Cain and the fact that he was in position to grant employment - one or several of these women could be attempting to be another James Callendar.

You're right, Agnostic.

Submitted by 26CX on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 11:43am.

The accusations by James Callender in 1802 were the result of his anger at Jefferson's refusal to appoint him Post Master of Richmond, Virginia. The specific charges that Jefferson had fathered a son named "Tom" with his 15 year-old-slave Sally Hemings were proven wrong (in spite of a long oral tradition) by DNA testing in the late 1990's.

The DNA testing did show that one of Hemings' children was fathered by a Jefferson male, but since Jefferson had no male children who survived, the DNA used in testing the Jefferson line was from descendants of a Jefferson uncle.  That testing only showed that 1 of about 24 Jefferson males fathered the Hemings child.  Paternity could not be narrowed to a specific Jefferson male.

There is a lot of controversy (and unsupported statements) about who historians think was the father, but the most likely candidate is Jefferson's brother Randolph based on stories about Randolph's association with some of Jefferson's slaves.

This is a kind of long article but it provides a lot of good information about the controversy.

I guess some aspects of politics haven't changed over the past 200 or so years.

I'll admit that I am not comfortable with the knee jerk protection of Herman Cain when it is associated with personal attacks against those coming forward.  However, the facts are non-existent in this case against Cain at this time and the media deserve the barbs being cast in their direction.  Remember it took an actual baby, money and admittance by a Edward's staff in order to get the media to cover that sex scandal.  No evidence and now some very unstable and shady characters are enough to send the media into a frenzy.  There are only two differences that would influence the media coverage of these two stories so the members of the media should either admit to being completely biased, racist or both.

My point was the principles we should be emulating, not the people (Jefferson, Franklin, et al).

None of us are perfect, but we should include charactor traits such as morals, integrity, and ethics in our evalualtions of our elected officials.

That's what the Founding Fathers were saying we should look for, they themselves should and in the most part were that.

Credit George Will a few months back when he noted that the Republicans will attack each other giving comfort and solace to the Democrats. The Circular Firing Squad (his term) seems to be a Republican tradition, in violation of the Reagan 11th Comandment not to speak ill of another Republican.

When this is over, the best candidate will likely emerge wounded, limping into the race, hindered by soundbites and vidoe clips from the other candidates.

My advice: Focus on the issues, strongly point out the failures of current administration, tell the voters why you can do better and how you will do it, and tell them what you are planning on doing to create jobs, more jobs and even more jobs. Then give us your plan to create even more jobs.

It is NOT the 'job' of a politician to 'create jobs'. It's their job to represent the interests of the American people while staying the hell out of their way.

Medicare is OT*

Sorry to throw this in but curious at responses....I received this in the mail today. It is a card notice from DHHS that medicare open enrollment ends 12-7-11.  This is the wording on the notice.

With the healthcare law, Medicare is stronger than ever. Here's  what you'll find in 2012

More Benefits: You can get more prevention benefits often at no cost to you,  including certain cancer screenings and a yearly wellness visit.

Better choices: 99% of you have at least one  medicare advantage plan in your area

Lower costs:.  Average premiums for Part D drug coverage won't rise in 2012, and premiums for medicare advantage plans will drop an average of 4%. And people who are in the Part D coverage gap will get a 50% discount on covered brand-name drugs.

Don't know about others but "lower costs" info has already been debunked by my supplement plan coverage.  They have already told me that premiums are going up because  payouts by medicare is going down and medicare premiums are also going to rise about 5%. But I found the language on the card interesting as well as that 99%!!!

Romney's just another

Submitted by mattm on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 7:52pm.

Romney's just another Pawlenty - a psuedo-republican professional politician... This election is going to be about the rejection of the establishment. If it isn't, it doesn't matter much which party wins, the people will continue to suffer at the hands of these ruling class elitists.

After he got done cleaning house, preaching to the choir was no longer a problem.

I'm not suggesting Cain should have silenced his accusers in the same fashion, it's just that Machiavelli would have approved.

Herman Cain's wild-eyed accusor

Submitted by Free Stinker on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 9:59pm.

Let's see what we know so far about Herman Cain's wild-eyed accusor:

  • She's worked 9 jobs in the last 17 years?
  • She's declared personal bankruptcy twice?
  • She was involved in a paternity lawsuit?

But don't just take my word for it.  Take the word of TV Station WLS: http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/iteam&id=8422203

Don't think it was a few days ago

Submitted by 26CX on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 10:15pm.

I gathered from her comments at the news conference that she told her boyfriend and another guy at about the time it happened.

The thing that bothers me about her story is that over the entire time of their evening together, up until the alleged attack, Cain didn't flirt with her, or make a pass at her or say or do anything suggestive. Her story would have us believe that he was a gentleman the whole evening except for the one incident that came out of the blue.

That seems weird to me.

If Romney were a success it would be different but he isn’t. When the people of Massachusetts all but picked up the legislature and carried them to keep the state from falling off the left side of reality. Romney anchored to the state Supreme Court and pulled the state off the left side.

Will you people take Liberallies seriously now?

Submitted by The Vet on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 9:09am.

Please boys and girls, can we all take Liberallies seriously now? He has some serious arguments to make here and no one wants to take him serious. Please. He is serious. Really. He is. Serious that is. He is serious.

Here is the issue at hand.

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a challenge to California's policy of granting reduced, in-state tuition at its colleges and universities to graduates of its high schools who are illegal immigrants.

The justices turned down an appeal from lawyers for a conservative immigration-law group that contended "preferential treatment" for illegal immigrants violated federal immigration law. They cited a little-known provision in a 1986 law that barred states from giving "any postsecondary benefit" to an "alien who is not lawfully present in the United States ? on the basis of residence within a state."

So essentially, any state that wants to give the in-state rate to illegal aliens is allowed to do so by law. That is it. The states can choose to let illegal aliens pay the in-state rate or out of state rate based upon where they graduated high school. IT IS LEGAL FOR STATES TO DO THIS.

So what is liberallies arguing here?

Liberallies: what do you say to the 19 year old Latino...illegally...Your parents screwed up and now you can't get an education in the USA!"

The Supreme Court also ruled years ago that we cannot by law deny an education (grades 1 to 12) to illegal aliens. That is not a misrepresentation of what was said. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY!

Liberal Lies: ...morally and ethically wrong to make the children of parents...pay for the crime of their parents.

Anyone here arguing children should be sent to jail? That is not a misrepresentation of what was said. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY!

Liberallies: ...must we make this children pay for the crimes of their parents?

Yes. Looks like we are arguing that children should be sent to jail. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY!

Liberallies: ...we should not hold this kids liable for the crimes of their parents.

No, really, send the little brats to jail. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: The 19 year old whose parents brought him here illegally has the same Right as I to get an education...

Making someone pay a higher tuition = denial of an education. That is not a deliberate misrepresentation of what was said. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: The children are benefiting for the crime their parents committed, not one that they committed.

An 18 year old illegal alien is in fact commiting a crime in residing in this country illegally. Regardless of what his/her parents did. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...should we punish American citizen children whose parents committed a crime...

Oh crap. Back to this. Yes. Let's have a special supermax prison for all the children. Maybe it will shut this guy up. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: I work with a lot of these illegal immigrants who the parents brought them here illegally...

I work with puppies covered in butter. I... Oh should I have let that out? This has to do with what again? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...practicing Roman Catholic. I urge you to look what the Church teaches on this matter.

Why, what does the Pope say about giving illegal aliens discounted tuition rates in the United States? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: We do have a duty, in the eyes of God, to take care of those who have less than us...

Yes. God says we should give illegal aliens discounted tuition rates. That is where the Pope got it after all. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: The law does not equate Moral, Ethical, what God wants and demands.

Uh, hello. God already said to give illegal aliens the discounted in-state rate. Now what is God demanding? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: You claim to be a Roman Catholic, look into the teachings on this or rather the position of the Church on this.

Uh, you already told us God told the Pope to give illegal aliens discounts for college. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: Children most not pay the price for the crime of their parents, even if coldless, written by men laws make it so.

Wait, now we have to stop building the SPK (Supermax Prison for Kids)? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...remember, abortion is legal, it is lawful, does this make this law Just, Moral, Right?

And discounted in-state tuition for illegal aliens is lawful too. The point? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: Should a child concieved through rape, incest be aborted? pay for the crime of his father? I say no, I know you would say no. So why should they pay once they are out of the womb?

Yes. denying discounted college tuition is a criminal penalty. We got it. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: An illegal child living in Illinois is a resident of the State of Illinois..

A blatant false statement. Illegal aliens are barred by federal law from establishing legal domicile in any state, the most basic requirement for establishing residence. States are allowing illegal aliens in-state tuition based on other criteria. BUT YOU TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: A resident of Illinois, in Illinois, pays in-state tuition, an out-of-state resident of of the state of illinois pays out of state tuition in Illinois.

Also the color black is very dark. And the color white is very light. Oh, I thought we were stating obvious stuff now. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberllies: A child who was forced to move to Chicago at the mere age of 2 and was raised in Chicago, went to schools in Chicago and applies for college at the age of 17 is an in-state resident.

Who else here confuses state residency with discounted in-state tuition rates? Anyone? Anyone at all? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...well, the law also says that a child in the womb of a mother is not a human being.

So, that means a fetus cannot get the discounted tuition rate? This has to do with what again? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: It isn't about Republican or Democratic, it is...

Are the children in the womb registered to vote now? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: An illegal child who was raised in the State of Illinois since the age of 2 is a resident of Illinois in the eyes of God...

The Pope has had a busy week what with all the new proclamations, huh? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: What does God see...

Liberallies: Abortion is Morally Wrong...

Liberallies: Immigration Laws are immoral and unethical...

We weren't talking about giving illegal aliens discounted tuition. Nope. Ask the Pope. We are talking about the whole show. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: If my arguments are fallacious, dishonest and red herrings, you should have zero problem destroying them in seconds.

Yeah, he can do that all by his lonesome. What did the Pope say? What did God hear? How are the babies in the womb voting? Should we educate all the children we put in the Supermax prison? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...if a child should not pay for the cime of the father when he/she was conceived through rape, why pay once he is outside of the womb?

Yes. We are arguing children should be made to pay for the rape of their father both in and out of the womb. That is why we built the SuperMax Prison for Kids. That is our argument. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: Everyone is giving me the run about...

No, everyone is saying you are having problems with English Mr. Runabout. A runabout is a small vehicle. If people are giving away small motorized vehicles, I want in on that. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...children are to be helped and not be held accountable or made to pay the price for the crime of their parents.

Dammit. Are we building the kiddie prison or not? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: I am against the laws that deport human beings who have committed no crime in the USA, but are here illegaly thanks to their parents bringing them illegaly when they were underage.

Ok. So we deport the parents and keep the children. Good. Because we have this empty prison here that we keep having to rebuild.... TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...the father raped a woman...

And that right there is the winning argument for giving discounted tuition to illegal aliens boys and girls. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...why should a child pay for the crime of his/her father when they are outside of the womb?

Wait, Republican or Democratic father raping women? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: ...why do we want to punish the illegal children who were brought here illegaly?

Dammit. I forgot. Is that kiddie prison on or off or full of Republican father rapers and Demcratic father raping women? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Liberallies: If an illegal child forced by his parents to come illegaly...

I was forced to eat brussel sprouts by my father raping parents. Does that mean I cannot get discounted tuition? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

Oh and no matter how many times you spell illegally wrong, it still is spelled with 4 L's.

Liberallies: ...you fail to explain how it is different to punish a child in the inside of the womb vs. punishing them outside when they are illegal. If there is a difference, please show me where I am wrong.

Punching a fetus because it kicked vs. discounted tuition. No difference. TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY..

Liberallies: Find, take out the rape, incest.

Do I bring flowers? TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

So, in the eyes of Liberallies, denying an illegal alien a discounted college tuition rate is now comparable to rape, incest, abortion, sending children to jail, deporting illegal aliens whilst keeping their children and completely denying children any education whatsoever. But yeah, it is us, we just don't take him serious enough.
