Media Mash: Occupy Oakland Edition
The reason Oakland, California, "one of the most left-wing cities in America" has attempted to disband the Occupy movement there is all the crime and violence fostered by the radicals running the squatter camps. Yet the media put the police on the defensive rather than report on the illegal activities of Occupy Oakland protesters, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell observed during the "Media Mash" segment of the October 27 edition of "Hannity."
Fox News host Sean Hannity agreed and added that the media persistently tried to paint Tea Party demonstrators as extreme while reporting "hardly a peep" about the rampant anti-Semitism and political extremism as the Occupy protests. [watch the full segment's video below the page break]

But if they stop serving them and substitute tofu instead then I will go elsewhere.
It's the same with the news.
People watch the news because they want information. They want to know what's going on. If what they receive is some propaganda routine or cardboard cut out they will start to look elsewhere. These networks are really becoming the Baghdad Bob of American media. They cannot narrate their footage with dialogue that is the complete opposite of what they show and expect their viewers to swallow that crap.
It's insulting.
They lie right to our faces while they scowl and make their little faces and comments as if people are too stupid to see through it.
America got bamboozled in 2008 but it won't happen again.

In America we have traditionally learned that proper sportsmanship in winning is a valuable human trait and there are social awards for winning. We also learn that there are lessons in losing and that strong characters learn from their loses and there are social punishments for losing.
These 'experts' they bring out in the media are consistently wrong. From sports to economics they make predictions based on their 'expertise' and their is no penalties for being wrong while every success is printed over and over. The economic 'experts' on CNN's online site have been consistently right twice (in general overall economic predictions) in the last decade. Oddly enough their predictions were too apprehensive during the Bush years and too optimistic during the Obama years - wonder why? Like athletes, I think these experts should have stat sheets so the viewing public can tell whether someone is just throwing out opinions they hope will come true or are actually weighting the data and making accurate predictions within reasonable degrees of accuracy.

A little real life to support your analogy, I used to go to Red Robin because I loved their clam strips. The only reason I went to Red Robin was those clam strips.
So my wife and I go into Red Robin and I don't even pick up a menu because I know what I want. The waitress comes up to us and I tell her "I'd like the clam strips please" to which she responds "We don't serve those anymore".
Well I looked to my wife, who knows the only reason we come to Red Robin is to get my clams and she shrugs. At that point my wife and I stand up and prepare to leave and the look on that waitresses face was priceless. She sputtered and stuttered and even asked "What you're just gonna leave because we don't have clam strips?" to which I calmly replied "Yes".
She was still looking stunned as my wife and I made our way to the exit and left the building.
That is to say she looked like a MSM muckity muck that simply can't understand why he is losing market share left and right.

okay-i'll go along with that-please follow me-push back the Police presence to the prerimeter-put up the new plastic orange fence.
let the OWC do what ever they wish, but in the designated area only.
i figure it may take one or two days for the OWC folks to beg for help, at that time the Police do not come to the rescue.

are trying desperately to paint a picture of concern for the country, their actions are painting another. Sexual assaults, squatters, gang-bangers and social deviants are what are "occupying" the streets/parks.
The media was threatened by "masked" protestors but still wants to say they are "fighting the good fight".
Somewhere along the way I missed something....
