Did you see the one about the deer that was stuck in a frozen pond in Baltimore County?
Seems a bunch of good citizens got out the shovels and hoes and broke through the ice so that the deer could escape, and saved its life.
Two of the rescuers were issued tickets by a Wildlife officer observing the rescue (not helping, mind you) for being in the water WITHOUT LIFE JACKETS!!!!!!!!! They were adults, not children, so WTF?
It is time for us to vote EVERY SITTING POLITICIAN out of office, and FIRE EVERY CIVIL SERVANT on the payroll, and start the flock over.

I just heard a Fox News reporter (didn't catch his name) say that Don't Ask Don't Tell made gays "lie about who they are" are in order to serve in the military

Now that I think back about it, I never had to tell anyone that I was a flaming heterosexual when I joined the military. Does that make me a liar? I've even been accused of being a homosapien on occasion, but I never tell.
As I've said, when I went into the military, it was not alowed to be gay. Later, they made it optional. I decided to get out before it became mandatory!

This reminded me of something else concerning lefties. Let's say the "gay gene" is identified, if there is one. (And I think there probably is.) Then a woman could have genetic testing to see if she was carrying a gay fetus. Some women would chooooooose to abort their gay fetuses. How long do you think it would be before the lefties were marching in the street carrying signs like these:

What's coming sooner are things like the right to marry your pet goat, and lifting the ban on incest.
I heard something the other day on Fox about a professor at Columbia University who has been having an incestuous relationship with his daughter for several years. CU is actually defending them because "it's consensual." What's the big deal?
Can dropping the laws on pedophilia be far behind? Don't think so. It will probably help keep congressmen out of trouble, so I'm sure it will pass quickly.
Before you think it is absurd, think back 30 or 40 years ago, if someone had said that Steve could marry Sam someday, you would have thought it was crazy and would never happen, but here we are.

Ah, the good old days! I do remember how different it was back then. We didn't have to lock our doors (I didn't even have a house key until I was a senior in high school) and you never heard foul language in public. Or if you did, it was "damn," and even that was socially unacceptable. Now the f-word is flying everywhere and people have gone from simple door locks to home security systems. What we have here is a breakdown of civil society.

My mom was a dance teacher. I grew up surrounded with girls in leotards. Lot's of girls! I'm fairly stable. I think when the cutie in the tight tee brings out the grub the kids are slobberin' over the wings not the puppies. And yeah, we are getting more and more of these girlie-man types around, sickning ain't it?

reaction to repeal

I went to see Tron Legacy with some friends today. Good movie by the way, helps to see the 1982 original before this sequel. Be careful with the 3D if you are prone to motion sickness.
Anyway, one of them was supposedly married to another lady (done in another state) and she was in town visiting her mother who went with us to the theater. After the movie, she had a phone call from her "partner" who was all excited about the repeal since she was in the military, jumped up and down and everything. Her mother was a liberal and didn't really agree to the marriage in principle, but as a liberal, she didn't care.....figure that one out.(that's what she told me. She's a bit goofy in the head)
I just shook my head and she saw me and said "what's wrong with that?" I said "well, what changes with this?" She gave me the excuse "we don't have to hide it anymore" and I said "So the goal is to change the military from being a fighting force?" She paused with a mystified look, and thought for a second before saying "no......" in a small voice. I said "So what's the point? Did your partner join the military because she was a lesbian or did she join to BE in the military? It sounds like this is an attempt to change something that was once a chain of command situation to a social club which devalues the military." "You're just trying to confuse me!" she said and walked away, not a surprising reaction. Three of the guys I was with used to be in the military(2 in air force, 1 in navy) and told me quietly later on that they agreed with me.
This is gonna get ugly.

The military is no place for touchy-feely, feel-good social experimentation.
Our military has but one job, and that is to kill people and break things.
Period.
This lunacy will, I believe, seriously impair our military's ability to carry out their primary mission.
The only real benefit I see as that at least now the military brass will now know for sure who to keep the Hell away from sensitive information.
