MRC's Bozell Addresses Harry Smith's Swipe at Tea Party 'Anger' on October 15 'Fox & Friends'

By NB Staff | October 15, 2010 | 11:02

A  A

When mainstream media folks like Harry Smith dismiss the Tea Party movement as merely voters venting their anger, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell is reminded of the dismissive reaction of journalists back when Republicans won control of Congress 16 years ago.

Here's what he told viewers of the October 15 "Fox & Friends":

It's 1994 all over again. Don't you remember the late Peter Jennings talking about on Election Day about how America threw a temper tantrum and the country can't be governed by an angry 2-year-old? It was all about anger, it was all about hate. That's what happens when conservatives win. When liberals win, it's hope and change, it's kumbaya, it's coming together. It's so transparent what they're doing.

I watched Brent on Fox and Friends this morning.  Great job as usual.

It occurs to me that invidual members of the so-called mainstream media owes America an apology--for years of propogandizing, for years of lying, for years of pushing a politically correct, nonsensical, dumbing down of people--and certainly for fostering the notion that Obama and his party was qualified to be within a mile of the seat of government power.

I'm serious.  Each one, every anchor on NBC, ABC and CBS, every so-called anchor on CNN and MSNBC should apologize first and then be rightly fired for doing a piss-poor job since they've been there.

The so-called mainstream media is the propaganda arm of the criminal DNC.

They won't be hiding.

Submitted by Red Jeep on Fri, 10/15/2010 - 12:12pm.

There themes will be:

1. Angry Republicans prevent Obama from (passing this or that) to uplift the poor.

2.Angry Republicans slash the Food Stamp budget (or name the program), when in reality the rate of growth is slowed.

.3.The Tan Man, John Boehner will be blamed for everything when he becomes Speaker, replacing George Bush as the Republican to hate.

And so forth, immediately, Nov.3.

A Special Place for Smith

Submitted by libBuster on Fri, 10/15/2010 - 11:58am.

In a world of tendentious and partisan hacks masquerading as journalists, Harry Smith deserves a special place for his flagrant bias.

The networks can use denial as a coping mechanism, but it's not effective longterm.  The Tea Party is here to stay and it's a very positive means for enabling people to be more fully engaged in the political process.  Hopefully the days of the elite goverance are endangered.  Hopefully this movement will improve transparency.
