Am I seeing things?

Looks like the D's own healthcare. Make sure you point that out as things go bad.

An aside here, was it just me or did Obama's hair suddenly go from salt and pepper to dark black around the time of his FNC interview? Doesn't that Grecian Formula have instructions for use?

Tried that . . . .

Unfortunately it is not working - they are not listening - even town hall meetings and plummeting poll numbers are having no affect on the people who were elected to represent their constituents (not their political party).

Pimpin' Harry Reid

BKeyser:

That is excellent. As a matter of fact, I was going to ask you to do something like that, being the Photoshop Artist you are.

And isn't that an ACORN office behind them? ;^)

I may need to update that

I may need to update that door...

UPDATE: Pimpin' Harry outside of ACORN.

Excellent BKeyser!

Love it!

And how do you like that

And how do you like that simpering look on Landrieus's face on the Drudge Report right now?

Well, fiddle-dee-dee, Captain Butler!

Makes me want to slap her two ways!

Doesn't that political

Doesn't that political whore know millions of us know she has nothing to really be smiling about...and won't forget.

What a fool.

mb...I'm with ya on slapping her silly.

I'm sure I've seen that girl recently...

At this point, I am quite literally depressed beyond words...

...over what is currently happening to this country, and last night's vote has deepened it further.

Much further.  :-(

RD -- Don't let the

RD -- Don't let the basterds grind ya down.

I was reading an influential conservative Repblican who said that contrary to some conventional wisdom, the GOP has to start running right now for 2010 and 2012 on the promise to REPEAL the monstrosity, if passed.

No ifs ands or buts -- that's one plank of the platform. None of this accepting the fake socialist fait accompi.

The state controlled leftist media are just a bunch of DOUCHE BAGGERS (D-BAGGERS)

agreed

Doesn't it have to pass the SCOTUS muster first?  Much of what they are trying to do with the health care is unconstitutional, but then again, LOTUS is doing stuff that's unconstitutional via the auto industry and banking industry anyway and they haven't stopped him from that.

Some deals with the Devil must have been made somewhere for the Dims to do this.  I don't see how it could be otherwise, and don't forget how Obeyme would stand behind his cabinet choices and just absolutely stare at their heads from behind as if he were doing some sort of mind control.  Look at the videos and decide for yourselves if you don't believe me, it's really odd.

Otherwise, revolution time, I'm not buying a GM car if the gov't made it law requiring me to do so.  I'm not dealing with a bank owned by the gov't if congress made it law to do so.   To hell with that crap!

-Jon

jon,

The problem with the SCOTUS is that, in order for them to get involved in any of this, somebody with the financial means to do so has to mount a challenge, and be willing to stick with it all the way through the maze to get it in front of the highest court in the land.

That could take years, during which time the taxes buried in this abomination (and which kick in next year) could do enough damage on their own to wreck what is left of the economy-not to mention the damage that would be done to our health care infrastructure.

And even if it does make it in front if them, this is essentially the same SCOTUS that gave local governments more of a right to your property than you have back in '05 in that hideous Kelo decision.

I'm not convinced this so-called conservative court is going to be there for us when it is going to matter most.

-Dave

Our elected representatives have failed us.

oh great

Well, that settles it, we're screwed from getting help legally(as in the courts).

We're really screwed now.

-Jon

They could borrow a line

They could borrow a line from the dems:

American Health Care -  amend it, don't end it.

Or: Fix it, don't nix it.

I thought it was your Dawgs, D.

Hang in there.

I hope he fails, too.

J,

That made it even worse.

I still cannot believe Kentucky came back and beat us. That was more gut-wrenching to watch than seeing Greg Norman blow his Masters lead to Nick Faldo way back when.

I know we will finish the season with 6 wins, which makes us bowl eligible, but I don't think we deserve one, honestly.

-Dave

Our elected representatives have failed us.

Dave, I hear you....but......

I agree with Jack....lets start campaigning now for 2010, and 2012 on a stump of REPEALING this thing first and foremost!!  We need a new conservative contract with America.

The thing that has me the most PO'd is the fact we marched on Washington, sent e-mails and FAX's and melted their phone lines, and the Dems all said F' You to us, we dont care.  Well, we dont care about them either.......I predict a massive sweep in 2010 to show our displeasure, and to make sure our voices are NEVER taken for granted again!!  I feel a rekoning coming, and it is long over due!!

Dave~Norwegian Girl tries to cheer you up

It always looks darkest before...before a bird poops on your head and you trip and fall into a mailbox. Oops. That's not what I was gonna say. ;)

I'm irritated and angry about what Obama and the Dems are trying to pull off as well -- but I've got a different take on the final outcome on this, and you are welcome to borrow it. :) I'm becoming more and more convinced that Obama is history in 2012 and that 2010 will be a productive turn-around. I also firmly believe the conservative movement is becoming so strong that it can't be stopped -- and shouldn't be. A lot of people get it -- and they are ready to take a firm stand. If Obama had been more subtle, it's possible he could have slipped into his second term. But I think that his total disregard to the public's voice and wishes means a lot of this junk that is going on stands a good chance of being corrected and repealed. We just gotta hang in there.

Try not to let it get you down. A better day is coming.

Statistics

The statistic I keep hearing is that 97% of bills that get through cloture eventually pass.

Mary, Mary

Mary whores for Harry the pimp. Then she brags about it---"It's not 100 million, it's 300 million". Hey, it's not their money. I'm so proud of our U.S. Senators. I could just bust my buttons!

My tag line wins again...

Ah yes....

Mary had a little scam...And fleeced them all of dough.

"It's 100 million for a half hour, 300 million for the full hour" -Landrieu's ad on Harryslist

Disgusted

I'm disgusted as well. At one time the pundits said -don't worry about this House bill, it has no chance of passing. It passed. The pundits said -don't worry about this Senate bill, it has no chance of passing. Filibuster failed and it's on to a vote, possibly by reconciliation.

Now the pundits will say -don't worry about this bill, what comes out of committee can't possibly pass both the House and Senate.

We are headed for banana-republic status.

Baseball- an observation

I watched a replay of the 1965 World Series - Game 7 last night. I couldn't help contrasting it to today in so many ways. Sandy Koufax pitched a 9 inning shutout ( hardly anyone goes 9 today). He consistently won over 20 games a season (hardly anyone does that today). In his last season in1966, while injured, he won 27 games. But what struck me most was the civility of our society at the time. For instance, when Dodger Koufax came to bat in the last inning --in the rival park-- the Twins fans gave him a round of applause for his performance. Would that happen today? At the end of the game the Dodgers simply left the field, shaking hands with one another. No jummping up and down, acting like fools. In the clubhouse, the Dodgers praised the Twins. All this and more caught my eye, not to speak of the $$$ situation in 1965.

Of course, 1965 was the beginning of the war that changed America forevever (thanks to Demos Kennedy and Johnson). But it was great when America had its values straight. Sad to see it go.

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

iveseenitall

Baseball is the only game I have seen where the opposing teams don't shake hands or acknowledge each other before or after the game. I think good sportsmanship or the semblance therof should be demonstrated. Just congratulating your own teamates is pretty lame.

isia... I remember back

isia...

I remember back then as well, your post says it all about where America is now...and it's sad.

I'm glad we have the memories...I now feel fortunate about getting older, and wiser.

Sad to see the mayhem that also happens now after a Win in games as well, the burning of cars etc...police and such have to be out there all over the place.

Evey-thing went to hell in a hand-basket...and then some.

Anybody happen to catch

Anybody happen to catch Cynthia McFadden with Kurtz on Reliable Sources this morning...she has a so-called big deal regarding Ensign with his black-mailer/Hell Hath No Fury like a pathetic whining man scorned on Nightline tomorrow night I think it is, the whole segment made me furious, the left are doing whatever they can to get rid of another republican, reminds me of 'macaca' this is old news now you twits, get a life.

As a quick aside, I do wonder if this guy, is being paid under the table from the dem side of the aisle..since he didn't get his 8 million he wanted, but hey, it WASN'T blackmail dontcha know.

Plus by the way, they are trying to smear Coburn and Christianity all in one, Coburn was on with George along with the rest of the panel he had at the time, and he asked him about his part in all of this.

It's Sunday...so steam wasn't coming out of my ears, but it is obvious the left are desperate at this point, they see what they have wrought...and like it or not, it's coming on down the road to a station near them in '10.

Pull out your Kleenex boxes...you're going to need them.

Rad... Yeah, I saw him

Rad...

Yeah, I saw him earlier, I'm still laughing now that you brought it up...the dense guy doesn't understand that he's done, fork went there long ago.

ObamaCare passes Surprise? NOT

I am watching the Wizzard of OZ

Makes me feel right at home.

Oh what a world......

The good news is that last

The good news is that last night was only a procedural move to begin debate.

Of course, this bill is a steaming pile, so they shouldn't be debating it at all.

Free

And yet, we find ourselves constantly debating steaming piles all around us... here on NB, in our daily lives, etc..

OK, so what's next?  Cap

OK, so what's next?  Cap and Trade you might say.  Alright...then what?  And after that?  And after that?

It's like the "gay movement" or the "civil rights movement"...if they achieve their stated goals today, they'll come up with something more progressive down the road-they'll never be happy.

Yeah, pretty much a "give 'em an inch" kind of thing.
