For general discussion and debate. Possible talking point: ACORN employee caught on tape saying the organization actively worked to elect Obama.
So the main thing what happened is when Obama ran, we did a, we didn't never say who we were going to run for but it sort of undercover that we were going to put Obama in...
We never declared because we have to be non-partisan--our national organization. But it was sort of like under the grapevine we knew we were going to put in Obama.

I heard our local talk guy
November 13, 2009 - 11:00 ET by ricklailI heard our local talk guy say that ACORN was suing the US on constitutional grounds because it stopped funding them. OK book, chapter and verse where not funding this bunch is unconstitutional.
How stupid of me. It is right there with the right to health care and an abortion.

November 13, 2009 - 11:34 ET by MikeB" Is there any honor or integrity left in Washington?" Just in case that question was not rhetorical: NO!!!!! There is neither honor nor integrity left in Washington. If there were, many of the currently serving Senators and Representatives, instead of serving in Congress would be serving time instead. Pelosi and Reid, and others in both parties would have been investigated by the respective ethics committees and removed from office. Legislators would honestly debate each bill and determine first of all if a prospective law was in violation of Article 1, Section 8, or of the 9th and 10th amendments, and if it were, they would cease discussing it. No, there is neither honor or integrity in Washington.

Unfortunately an investigation of this will have to wait until we take back the House in 2010, when Republicans in the House can launch their own hearings. I also have no doubt that the Bamster will issue blanket pardons for his entire administration as he leaves the White House in January of 2013.

November 13, 2009 - 15:06 ET by TheHistorianbecause they are so poorly managed that all of the employees which Breitbart interviews cannot get the "company policy" straight. You have to feel sorry for the ACORN management that they can only hire inept people like this. All ACORN needs is a few thousand (million) reliable employees.
I think the court case to allow release of Federal funds MAY prove interesting. We'll see if Breitbart gets a subpoena as a witness, and whether any of his videotape subjects similarly are contacted to testify either willingly or unwillingly.

November 13, 2009 - 16:16 ET by ahusser"Frightfully incompetent" is the theme song for this pres and admin. November 13, 2009 - 16:24 ET by BlondeNot that Obama needs much help to look stupid.
I think the mid-term elections are going to be huge. We conservatives have always despised and disparaged Obama and his socialist clique, but he's losing the independents in droves. His massive overspending is going to cause a real depression, this "blip" in 3Q GDP is entirely artificial, due to government spending (C4C, etc.). I think by next spring, unemployment will be north of 12%, and people always vote their pocketbooks.
Obama, of course, will continue to do stupid things. He has no clue of the perception of most of us have to his "act"....the incessant striving for coolness makes him look like a spoiled child.
Guarantee the stupidity continues, he can't go a day without having his face in front of the cameras. I just pray daily that he's off prompter. Because that's the best....gaffe machine, indeed.

November 13, 2009 - 16:30 ET by ahusserThe reason I mention this is that many bloggers on NB though outraged about his decisions also want the pres to do the right thing. I don't want real damage to the country, of course, but I don't want him to do anything that even hints of a correct decision. If he suddenly woke up and made just a couple of correct or politic decisions we will have this bozo and this congress for the full 8.

November 13, 2009 - 16:28 ET by Blondeor "man made disasters" or whatever they're calling it this week is going to lay a huge egg. I just hope it doesn't cost us a city.
Love Cavuto. I didn't know he had MS until a few months ago.
As far as Rudy's saying Holder was a good guy, I think that's probably professional courtesy, nothing more. Who knows? Rudy, for me, has huge credibility when it comes to criminal prosecutions, particularly in NY. Nothing good is going to come of trying these people here, and I truly object to them being accorded the rights of United States citizens in the courts.
P.S. I hear Obama is proudly declaring war on the budget deficit, however. Wonder how he's going to blame GWB for his $2T deficit? <edit> Whoa, Neil's guest the mousy economist just said non-defense spending appropriations went up 11.2% this year!!!!

November 13, 2009 - 16:38 ET by bigtimerYeah, I know about Rudy's past as well, but saying Holder is a good man is bull, I don't care why he said it...this is not toward your opinion, it's mine, Eric Holder is NOT a good man, in any way shape or form.

If he contests this race after the military vote is counted he is going to need $$$, guess he has a site for anyone interested, should be final tally by this time next week.
