They're at it again.  The

They're at it again.  The AP story linked below announces (wait for it) 650,000 jobs created or saved by the stimulus bill!  Amazing, no wonder they said the recession is over!

...the White House said Friday, saying it is on track to reach the president's goal of 3.5 million jobs by the end of next year.

 http://www.ksdk.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=188580&catid=3

I can play too!  I saved 75,000 barrels of oil this month alone by not buying and flying my own 747, not to mention the carbon credits I should receive.  Man, it feels good to save the planet!

"I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."  Barack Obama to "Joe the Plumber"

I try playing that game

I try playing that game with my husband.  Honey, everything I bought was on sale so we really saved money even though I spent it.  Doesn't work, end up returning stuff.

My husband could balance that budget.

HAH!!! That's nothing!

Obama KILLED 4 million jobs by stealing money out of the taxpayers pockets so they couldn't buy the things that were produced by the people that lost their jobs because nobody had any money.

If he had cut taxes and left more money in PEOPLES POCKETS, they could have spent more money on more stuff and CREATED MORE JOBS, relieving himself of having to 'save' jobs.

But, that's not really the liberal agenda is it?

What could YOU have purchased over the last 40 years if you had kept 70% of the money stolen from your paycheck to pay for UNCONSTITUTIONAL government programs, and spent it on what YOU wanted?

http://gjresult.com

Are you being taxed at 70%?

Are you being taxed at 70%?  Your entire post is nonsense.  Additionally, Bush's tax cuts won't expire until 2010, which means that the money you're claiming Obama stole out of taxpayers pockets was actually stolen by, you guessed it, George W Bush.  Save this tirade until next year.

That's not what he said, Ted.

But the latest Pelosi health care debacle will raise the highest marginal tax rate to 46%.  That's just Federal Tax.

Add another 7.65 in SS & Medicare, bumps the federal burden to over 50%.  Now add in state income taxes.  And then of course, the "consumption taxes".....state Sales Taxes, gasoline taxes, franchise taxes on utilities, etc.

Welcome to the welfare state....where even those on the margins get to pay about half of their income in taxes.

Life is lovely in liberal land.  NOT!

I hope he fails, too.

Come on B, you can't fool an

Come on B, you can't fool an accountant!

The highest tax bracket tops out at 35%, and that's if you're making over $372K for a couple filing jointly.  For most American couples (those who make less than $137K jointly) will be taxed at 25%.  FICA and Medicare are included on the federal tax rates, though they are broken out separately on your pay stub.  Assuming the worst, in that the federal increase goes up 5%, most Americans are looking at a tax under 30%, nowhere near your estimate of 50%.

That being said, it still totally sucks.

PS: I forgot to add SDI and

PS: I forgot to add SDI and SWT.  Be thankful you're not in Cali for those rates.

Trying to calm my nerves

Trying to calm my nerves during the series last night I was flipping channels.  TV is REALLY bad.  Joy Behar and Wanda Sykes were bashing men (specifically male comedy writers) saying basically that they don't give women credit for being funny.  Sorry, you two aren't.  Then I heard Michael Moore discussing the situation in Afganistan and, well it doesn't even matter what he said.  The only thing that guy knows is how to find food and eat it.  The game was much better.  Go Yanks.

Lucy and Carol Burnette

Lucy and Carol Burnette were funny. These two come nowhere close to that.

And I'm really sick of women

And I'm really sick of women complaining about men in the workforce, especially Behar.  Do your job well and you'll be in charge, or start your own business.  Me, I love the men in my life and am sick of women putting them down.

...slightly off-topic, but...

...if more women were at home during their child-raising days there would be less men in the unemployment line...

...and there would be less

...and there would be less kids getting into trouble.  I went back to work when my kids were in 6th and 8th grade.  After two years we decided I needed to be home.  Kids need someone at home monitoring them, and I can wear clothes from Walmart.  The sacrifices are worth it (at least for us).

Gave up my Porsche and Jaguar..

..for mine (6).  And my wife has always stayed home with them and schooled 'em!  The majority of my real estate taxes go to schools they don't attend, plus pay for our own books/supplies.  But I not complaining, less golf now and more treasures in Heaven!

Tosh.O

I was watching Comedy Central last night and watched Tosh.O. Hes a pretty funny guy, and managed to take a few swipes at some liberals, namely Pres. Obama and Bill Maher. I dont have a link for it but it is definately worth a watch to hear those two remarks. He mentions Obama's Nobel and Bill Maher's penchant for chasing younger women.

The Gospel according to Sting...

...here h/t Drudge

"In many ways, he's sent from God," he joked in an interview, "because the world's a mess."

But Sting is serious in his belief that Obama is the best leader to navigate the world's problems. In an interview on Wednesday, the former Police frontman said that he spent some time with Obama and "found him to be very genuine, very present, clearly super-smart, and exactly what we need in the world."

"I can't think of any be better qualified because of his background, his education, particularly in regard to Islam," he said.

...finally:

"We are here to evolve as one family, and we can't be separate anymore."

...hmm, kumbuya anyone?

Im watching the Samoa Survivor series and there is one contestant, Russell, on who owns an oil company but he has told everyone what they wanted to hear so they sympathize with him.  He is their leader and has done dastardly things to his team, yet they stand behind him because they have been conned by him.

Furthermore Russ is in it to diliberately mess around with the people around him.  To me Russ is doing what Duh Vain One is doing.

Duh Vain One may be smart but he is not good for the USA as he is breaking it apart.  We will be a country divided ready for easy pickings.

Duh Vain One may be smart but he is not good for the USA...

I can't figure out why people call this guy smart.  I haven't seen any evidence of it yet.

As far as I can tell, a glossy magazine with shiny pictures at a grocery check-out counter has a higher IQ than this Fraud-in-Chief.

A slug by comparison is charismatic.

B.O. Missed His Calling

I've seen no evidence of B.O. being smart either. I believe he's of average intelligence, with the ability to act intelligent. He should plan on doing a Reagan-in-reverse and head to Hollywood when he changes jobs in 2012.

As I noted elsewhere, Sting may have a point, though not the one he intended.  Obama may, indeed, have been sent by God - as a part of his judgment on our nation for its sins.

I havent bought a paper in years. Today I wanted to get the local Frys Electronics advert in the paper. The paper cost a buck, I nearly died; seems the last time I paid a quarter for one. The last time I pay for a paper, I pulled it out of a paper box and found out it was thursdays instead of fridays paper. They got me coming an going.

John Hood of the John Locke Foundation has a good column on blaming those politcians that cheat on campaign funds rather than blaming the system. YES! "...isn't this just typical of their state's laws?"

NJ State Supreme Court is full of Liberal Democrats. Dims use the courts to win all elections they think may be in trouble. A few years ago (about 5?), Toricelli was running for re-election. Some scandal got exposed so they took him off ballot and put senile old Lautenberg on ballot in his place. Trouble was, there was law on books that said you can't change candidates less than 60 days prior to election. Dims took it to State Supreme Court and guess what? They ruled that it would be okay to change candidates "in this particular case."

Rush can't remember?

A caller to Rush Limbaugh today, after apparently deceiving the call screener, brought up Philip J. Berg and Larry Sinclair. After admonishing the caller, Limbaugh said he would not and could not continue the call because he had never heard of either one of them, and because the caller had lied about the nature of the call.

Now, I understand Rush being somewhat angered by the deceptive nature of the call, and perhaps it was a half-hearted attempt to just blow the caller off, but surely Rush remembers what he said on October 23, 2008:

"This
birth certificate business, this lawsuit that a guy named Philip Berg
filed in Philadelphia in August for Obama to produce his genuine birth
certificate and he still hasn't replied."

Transcript

WorldNetDaily also ran a story in June about Rush and the controversy surrounding Obama's birth certificate.

Rush has never heard of Philip Berg? Was he just joking?

What say you?

I say this

Rush reads about five times more stuff than I do daily, and I can't remember where I found good stuff two days ago to post here half the time.

I'll tell you what I thought when I heard those names.  Hmmm....rings a bell, who are they?  So in answer to your question, same thing.  Rush didn't want to get into it with only a glimmer of recognition.

I hope he fails, too.

Krugman blatting on Obamacare again

I notice the Times closes comments so the west can't chime in unless we get up at 4 am.

Anyhow, he is blasting "centrists" who might hold up his 2000-page love child... I say many people are commoncentrists--we have the mother wit to see this is a compromised to shreds, bought and paid for, cobbled-up mess that won't even achieve the goal of making everyone only a little unhappy. Everyone will be a lot unhappy--when it re-emerges in 2013. Well, before then, when people are paying and not getting anything, they might be a little unhappy, too.

Gore Gone

Al Gore flips out, says sea level will rise 220 feet in ten years:

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog

""The North Pole ice cap is 40 percent gone already and could be completely and totally gone in the winter months in the next 5 to 10 years.” Such thaw, cautioned Gore, “could increase sea levels by 67 metres” and that “each one metre of sea level rise (SLR) is associated with 100 million climate refugees in the world.” That’s up a full 47 meters from the already horrifying predictions he’s made previously."

I expect the drumbeat of gloom-and-doom to increase from the Warmists, as it becomes apparent that their big con-game is falling apart.

Math

OK, math must not be Gore's strong suit.  If every meter of sea level rise is associated with 100 million climate refugees, and the levels will increase 67 meters, that is 6.7 billion climate refugees.  Sounds like we're all in a pickle.

Anybody got a big boat I can borrow?

May also need a few fishing poles.

If everybody in the world

Mexico

What happened to Mexico's west coast below LA?  Did someone photoshop that to make it look like the geography of Earth changed?

Geez, this climate crisis is about as serious as this H1N1 crisis, as in NOT REALLY! (yeah, I know there's an epidemic, but those jokers were saying millions were going to die.  Ain't seeing it)

Anyone see what the Disney Channel was doing called "Friends for Change?"  Talk about your social engineering for your kids.(came across it by accident during a commercial of the next channel up Cartoon Network watching Star Wars Clone Wars, got bored and flipped around)  What's scary is these celebrity kids doing these things on the Disney Channel, they actually seem to think they are making some sort of difference to "save this planet" and promote CFLs among other things.

I got no problem if they want to clean up beaches, pick up the trash, turn off lights when not in use, basic common sense, right?  I've done a beach cleanup a couple of times before, no big deal, but when I was doing it, it wasn't in the name of "saving our planet" or any such nonsense like that.

I did those things because I *CHOSE* to do those things because I don't like trash just laying out there and leaving lights on in a room that's not being used for anything just makes you have a higher electricity bill so leaving lights on for the sake of leaving lights on even if you're not in there is kinda dumb.

Someone should tell these kids some real math when they talk about "20% increase in CO2" in some area.  Well, guess what, a 20% increase of 0.03% CO2 already in the atmosphere amounts to....*GASP!* 0.036%!!!  Oh the horror!  Oh the humanity...oh wait, screw the humanity, they're supposed to die, right?  On a planet the size of earth, 0.03% CO2 in our atmosphere is pretty much nothing.

What fools they be!
