President Obama will almost certainly not travel to the Copenhagen climate change summit in December and may instead use his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech to set out US environmental goals, The Times has learnt. With healthcare reform clogging his domestic agenda and no prospect of a comprehensive climate treaty in Copenhagen, Mr Obama may disappoint campaigners and foreign leaders, including Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband, who have urged him to attend to boost the hopes of a breakthrough...The White House confirmed that the President would be in Oslo to accept the prize, but a source close to the Administration said it was “hard to see the benefit” of his going to Copenhagen if there was no comprehensive deal for him to close or sign.
Does this mean a new global warming deal at Copenhagen is clearly dead? If so, how does this impact pending cap and tax legislation?

October 25, 2009 - 12:30 ET by miss911ninjaI'm hoping that the U.S. military realizes that B.O. will never be impeached, so in order to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, as officers swear to do, they will forcibly remove Obama and his czars. Obama is attempting to overthrow the government. That is the essential definition of treason. I have mixed feelings about a possible military coup because I'd love to watch him fail, but if he remains in office he may do too much damage before his term is up.

As a former Marine, however, I couldn't advocate a military coup in this country for anything short of an attempt to enslave the American people.
Cooperation with a foreign entity to effectively change our mode of governance, or an ideological attempt to install a permanent presidential position like that of Chavez might qualify. Fortunately, we have elections to overthrow our leaders. The next one will be very important in that regard.

As for cooperating with a foreign entity to effectivel change our mode of governance, you need to take a look at that Climate Change treaty being bandied about in Copenhagen, or even the United Nation's efforts to try and accomplish the banning of private ownership of firearms, even in this country. And, remember, the Supreme Court once held that even if a treaty violates the Constitution, the treaty prevails. Think about that for a while.

The only misgivings I have would be to have to take orders from our current idiotic CIC.

Really, that language is just not there! It makes me wonder if it's a loophole intentionally designed to allow removal of the president if he himself proves to be a domestic enemy.

He said given what's going on, it'll probably come in very handy.

Not to mention how he said outloud that he wants to change the Constitution?(that's treason there, Congress makes changes, not him) And his Fed Reserve Chairman is endangering our country's economy by printing more money and devaluing the US Dollar to the point where massive inflation is just a few days away, and he tried to usurp the free press before somehow changing his mind.
And of course, his handling of Afghanistan falls under "Dereliction of Duty" which is another Constitutional offense.
And of course, the granddaddy of them all, his unknown place of birth since we already know it wasn't in Hawaii despite what his press secretary tells us.(No hospital in Hawaii can verify it) Congress even vetted John McCain's place of birth, why not his? That's a Constitutional offense there.

Now, I'm no constitutional lawyer by any means, but I do play one on NB (haha). Of all the things I've read, I have not seen one implication that what Barry's doing is illegal. I totally agree there's a potential for damage -short term and long term- to the economy, national security, and even the right to prosperity, but I'd have to rely on our elected officials to stand up and say that what he's doing should, or could be considered a criminal act. So far, I have not heard any such claims. Short of that, I wouldn't advocate a military coup.

And BK, yes, I know both sides agreed to it, Dubya was pretty much rail-roaded into it, the US Supreme Court SHOULD have stepped in against it but they chose not to, probably because no lawyer has brought anything before them about it. I wonder what Scalia thought of the whole thing.
The Constitution outlines some very clear guidelines about what to do in certain situations including a compromised leadership and gives a detailed method of how to take care of it. It's currently being ignored.

They will be attacked personally; the Bamster said, –"I'm all that stands between you and the pitchforks". That's a crude and ugly physical threat. He will also have them fired, have their homes and children's schools picketed by union and ACORN goons, and he will go after their pensions.
Any revolt against his fascism has to come from stockholders. The courts are hesitant, and too timid to get involved in financial regulation. There is however a long history of courts upholding stockholder's rights. Stockholders have to demand that their votes as owners of a corporation be counted, and followed over the dictates of an out-of-control President. A group of stockholders is also leaderless, and more immune to his Alinsky tactics.
Perhaps this is the move that will bring in the courts. We can only hope.
