For general discussion and debate. Possible talking point: Jay Leno sketch mocks ACORN with slogan "ACORN: we'll help you get away with stuff."
Jay Leno Joined Daily Show host John Stewart in the ranks of popular television personalities who have discussed, even mocked, the community organizing group. Leno has traditionally been most open of any late night television host to cast aside Hollywood leftism. But that John Stewart took on the liberal ACORN--and the media outlets that failed to report the story--may say a lot about the political winds of pop culture.

Regarding ACORN. United Way needs to detach from them 100%

How many people here think
September 18, 2009 - 09:09 ET by dscottHow many people here think the US is over invested in domestic gas and oil drilling???? The Obama NUTJOBS do!
The chief economist in the Obama administration's Treasury
Department testified before a Senate panel that current subsidies "lead
to overinvestment" in the oil and gas industry. That went beyond
previous statements about the need to protect taxpayers and was the
clearest signal yet that the federal government hopes to end its role
in nurturing domestic oil and gas production.
"To the extent that current subsidies for the oil and gas industry
encourage the overproduction of oil and natural gas, they divert
resources from other, potentially more efficient investments, and they
are inconsistent with the Obama administration's goals to reduce
greenhouse-gas emissions and build a new, clean energy economy," Alan
Krueger, the Treasury's chief economist, told the panel.
http://www.rigzone.com/news/article.asp?a_id=80239
Let's see we import how much oil and gasoline? And that's not a diversion from the capital available for domestic purposes???? How much dumber can someone get? These are the loons that Obama has surrounded himself with. INCOMPETENCE!
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, starving the poor one gallon of ethanol at a time. Fill your tank with E85 and cull a village.
it's not incomptence! Not even close!
September 18, 2009 - 09:19 ET by jon_torlinThese people know what the hell they are doing. It's SUPPOSED to look like incompetence, but it's not. It's part of a plan to beat this country back to the pre-Industrial Age and maybe before that.
At the same time, they are so full of crap about what they tell us and people are buying it, not very people are doing the smell test and are getting hoodwinked one way or another.
Soetoro's been teaching them the fine art of Hudna to be applied in almost any situation. I am too. Everything that's done is a deliberate attempt to weaken our country. Yes, the last two democrat presidents weakened our country but they did it over a period of 4 years and then 8 years. This illegal president beat those guys by doing it in a few months. I know a couple of diehard Soetoro fans down the hall from where I work that still say "give it time, it'll get better." Oh yeah don't forget the stupid bailouts and so-called stimulus too.

And I really aint bothered what you think of me

September 18, 2009 - 17:19 ET by ricklailFriends, you need to shuffle over to Moonbattery and see the side by side pictures of Pelosi and Marshall Applewhite. It is scary.
One of the guys that works for me thought that Pelosi looked like Frau Fissianca from the Austin Powers movies.

Another Greenberg Attack!
September 18, 2009 - 19:45 ET by slickwillie2001The infamous Jill Greenberg purposely made Glenn Beck look as evil as possible for the cover of Time just as she did with John McCain last year. I thought the style of the picture looked familiar when I first saw it yesterday.

Looks like last year's 'blacklist' of Greenberg for her unprofessional work on the McCain assignment lasted about a week.

I see him or the likes of Hill and in reality I steam.
I'm to the point, I cannot stand to see a lot of them...esepecially O.
I want him to keep talking as often as possible as I've said for awhile now, the more he sticks his mug out there and carrries on with this BS lies, the better for us...but I can rarely listen, or even leave it on the station.
I have never been this disgusted when I have to see a Prez 24/7.

Is HotAir wussing out?
September 18, 2009 - 20:34 ET by R D HelmI have been a member there for four + years, which is about 6 hours before I first signed up here at NB.
I have noticed that the powers-that-be at many so-called "conservative" sites of late appear more concerned with what the left is saying about them than they are about what Comrade Chairman KAOS is rapidly doing to this country:

If a site owned by Michalle Malkin is going PC, then perhaps it is time to start thinking about a serious escape plan.
No Joke.

Re Hotair
September 18, 2009 - 21:35 ET by slickwillie2001I believe that's just another chapter in LGF's war against all other conservative blogs, esp Hotair. Posting incendiary comments in the middle of the night when there's no mods, etc. More in the comments. More here. Pay no mind.
