I think what happened is that he jumped in and shot off his mouth before he knew the whole story.  He thought "coup....bad...can't support that!" And then his advisers stepped in and said, wait a minute, Mr. President, it's not what you think!

I think he is on the wrong side. He's siding with a President who wanted to trash his country's constitutional election laws. 

But I have no doubt that, as things shake out and perhaps change over time, he will also change, and eventually end up on the right side, and claiming that that's where he was all the time!

My favorite D.C. reporter, Jamie Dupree, has actually been reading the Cap & Trade bill that was passed by our congress-critters last week. He has found some interesting little tidbits contained within:

"I know, I know. I'm probably boring you to death by going through the Cap and Trade bill with a fine tooth comb.

But today, let's talk about how it would direct money to the working poor in America.

On page 1193, the bill would add a section to the Social Security Act on an "Energy Refund Program."

Basically,
those making no more than 150% of the poverty line, would get monthly
cash payments from the government to offset the extra costs that are
caused by this bill.

In other words, as your energy bill goes up, the feds will help offset that increase."

Of course, had to slip some income redistribution in there. Note the absence of numbers, it's a blank check, and it's for 'reductions in purchasing power', not simply for energy costs.
