Question: Why now does the UAW not want to run the company but want preferred stock in the company instead?
Have they seen the way "owners and corporate types" have been dispached with?
Do they see how decades of bankruptcy laws and practice have been disregarded?
OR are they looking to the next filing for bankruptcy wherein Bond holders and preferred stock holders WILL be placed first?

This is horrible. I am thuroughly against abortion but this is no excuse to kill another human being. The a-hole that did this was totally wrong in their actions and hopefully will be spending the rest of his or her life in jail once caught. I do have to point out the irony of Tiller, who specialized in late-term abortions; being a devout church-goer. That doesn't add up.

If it were truly a question of life and death regarding your pregnant daughter, would you agree with a late-term abortion? Would you witness the procedure? Why or why not?

There is ample evidence that abortion, especially 'partial-birth', is the most horrible murder.
In fact, if an abortion were performed on a woman against her will it would constitute first-degree murder.
Is it not then understandable why a microscopic percentage of extremists believe violence in the course of saving lives is morally acceptable?
I'm not going to add the obligatory 'violence is never justifiable' caveat here. We all have something we would kill for...or die for...and in those situations the law is often irrelevant.

Chris Wallace was running a piece on commencement speeches. There was Ellen Degenerate making smart remarks at Tulane about it. To us that live in hurricane zones it means to get ready because the possibiltiy is there for storm(s) and not wait on the feds to help you.

I stated the other day even though the Republican party is the so called "pro life" party can you name me anyone in the party that has tried to change Roe V Wade? From 04 to 06 the GOP controlled all levels of government, but with the acception of Bush making late term abortions illegal and making it harder in some states to get an abortion there has not been one move.
I am not saying anyone has to tolerate abortion, I am saying that gunning down a man in church in front of his family is not the way to go about doing it, regardless of what he did for a living.

Clarence Thomas and Robert Bork were nearly destroyed by NARAL's thugs in the Senate precisely because the left feared they would overturn Roe given the opportunity.
So there is no way Roe will be overturned at least in our lifetime.
