For Christ's sake, Wanda Sykes is at the podium, yet the teleprompter screen is facing Obama! It writes itself. I would have thought you could take a joke...after all, your President is one.

I was referred to this site by a very Conservative friend who, after consdiderable conversation, touted NB as the conservative's version of MediaMatters (which engages in no such nonsense).
Dkos is arguably the best place for liberal snark- if I want C-snark, there are much better places for that than here.
My mistake.
p.s. any of you aware of a legit conservative-leaning media watchdog? I've tried Accuracy in Media (huge fail after my email conversations with the editors), now here. Honestly, I don't live in a bubble and prefer to form my opinions via well-informed arguments from all perspectives. No matter how humourous or engaging, partisan snark makes that difficult.
kt, once a week, on Fridays, NB puts up a photo and invites readers to supply a caption for it. Some are funny, some not so much, but none of it is intended as "commentary" per se.

I'm relatively new at this, and I enjoy the comments a lot. Took me a few weeks to figure out the schedule and rythm of the site, but it's enjoyable and informative.
That said (my turn to blast the troll); how'd he get stuck on the very first item on NB (captionfest), couldn't get past it, and then posts his snide drivel instead of just reading and learning?
Oh yeah..."they" already know it all. No learning required, thank you very much.

The mere existence of Media Matters is a joke. Here you have an alleged media watchdog run by a president and CEO, David Brock, who is an admitted serial liar. Nevertheless, liberals (even some in the media) cite Media Matters as a legitimate source.

I think I see here some hope. Not the Obama kind of hope but hope that someday this nighmare of liberal government might end. Sykes with her ugly comment about Rush and Cooper with his reference to "teabagging", a word not known to most of us until he uttered it. The arrogance, meanness, and utter stupidity displayed here is a portent for the fall from power of Obama and his multitude of sycophants. You can't go around laughing and joking about men dying painful deaths and get away with it forever. If the Chosen One thinks that anyone dying of kidney failure is funny, then there is something inherently wrong with him, and eventually that flaw born in arrogant hate will come back in the form of no votes from voters. You can't go around wishing for the deaths of those who oppose you and remain president for very long. That arrogant hateful woman racist may have put into words what Obama is really thinking, and may have signaled the beginning of what may bring him down.
