January 23, 2009 - 16:52 ET by eugeneromeroSee, these things don't bother me. Even though I can't stand Obama or Biden, that's kind of funny to me. BUT, what does bother me is when the media held on to everything Palin said just waiting for her to slip up, and place it on the first page of print. For some reason everybody just lets all of Biden's slip-ups just go by like he's expected to say those kinds of things and nobody should take him seriously. So now I'm wondering, was the media holding Palin up to some extremely high standards for some reason? I don't know. But I do know that according to ABC's Terry Moran, Obama has a "bold and confident signature".

I did not vote for them but in things of this nature I am willing to give the President the benefit of doubt and believe he was not amused and I hope he sent a message to the crowd who laughed and took Biden to the woodshed. Biden will most likely have to take up golf if he doesn't already do it cause I think he is going to be a man with a lot of time on his hands.
I remember another Vice President who when the Presidential Party did a tour of Monticello, there was a bust of Jefferson on a pedistile in the center of a room. V.P. Gore asked the guide "Who is this?" The look Clinton gave Gore was priceless. You could almost the thought bubble over Clinton's head, "Gadzooks, what a dumba**!"

I have been in a funk ever since the swearing-in on Tuesday. I have a sense that something very unsettling and potentially grave is coming as a result of what Obama is already doing and will do as president. He sure hasn't wasted any time, has he? I don't feel as safe today as I did before noon on Tuesday.

January 23, 2009 - 23:38 ET by PrairieSkyI am trying to keep faith in the belief that whatever happens to our country, it will never be more than we are able to withstand. I believe that this country is here for a reason, and it is strong enough to weather anything, including a disastrous president...We've had them before, and we will have them again. But the times that we live in now are so dangerous, that the wrong man with the wrong administration, along with the wrong people running the show on Capitol Hill, can, and I fear will do potentially irreparable damage.
In the meantime, I'll keep praying.

Many years ago I read something that has stuck with me - maybe it will help just a little - goes something like this: "In life, as in our land, the richest growth is always found in the valleys"
Hopefully our country will find the gumption to grow in this valley of destruction we are now facing.

FYI - Mr. Prez...it ain't gonna work...I will listen to Rush every day no matter if I have to pay! Can't wait til Monday to hear Rush's response to that command!

January 24, 2009 - 11:25 ET by sherylsimsI was thinking that same thing yesterday. I am sure there are plenty of people in Obama's acquaintance who know how to "make it look like an accident" and thus send a message to anyone else who has the audicity to disagree with the WINNER's (How is that spelled? Whiner? Weiner?) agenda.
s - that has certainly been his style in the past!

January 23, 2009 - 23:47 ET by thebutlerdiditSounds like to me, if he doesn't get all the Pubbies to fall in line, and go with the program, then he might get that Fairness Doctrine up and running ASAP. He can't have any dissent, After all, as he said today, He Won! What a tit. First his little hissy when meeting the newsies, then he is going to say he won, then tell them not to listen to Rush. I thought we were constantly being told that Rush wasn't important, he was irrelevent, no one thought like that anymore, etc. If that's the case, then why do they all seem to spend so much time worrying what he has said? Why give his words any attention, any weight? Just ignore him if he is so insignificant.
O/T, I just received the new Coulter book for my library. It is a first ed., signed copy. Thanks, Ann.

January 23, 2009 - 23:57 ET by BlondeObama just committed the cardinal sin.
His best tactic was to try to marginalize Rush by ignoring him. But no.....he had to prove how "manly" he was by taking on the biggest, baddest, conservative in the land.
Rush is going to have him wimpering on the carpet, like a whupped Harry Reid puppy before he's done with this....and El Rushbo (and his listening audience) are going to have a ball, too.

January 24, 2009 - 00:18 ET by thebutlerdiditI wonder if he knows/cares just how many people he will tick off by trying to squelch Rush? How was your interview?

January 24, 2009 - 10:45 ET by doug1950down here. "Never wrestle with a Pig cause you only get dirty and the Pig likes it". Obama taking aim at Rush is tandamount to throwing down the gauntlet to Limbaugh, the Repubs and conservatives. The repubs...well, some will run hide under their desks and whimper and whine. This should be a good time to see which ones have any huevos and mark them for removal/replacement. Got a call from GOP last night wanting money. HA! Go p*ss up a rope!

January 24, 2009 - 11:27 ET by Cape Conservativeever after the absolutely disgraceful campaign and after-election comments by John McCain and his staff! If ANY future Republican candidate takes someone from the McCain campaign onboard, they will surely be sorry!
I would REALLY REALLY like a new law that all current elected officials MUST RESIGN before pursuing another office! Now we have to sit and watch and listen as JMcC wears out the carpet as he continues to cross the aisle and thumbs his nose at those who, because of Sarah Palin (the only reason they got one $ from us!) voted for him! He is a DISGRACE to the Republican Party!!!! And I'll throw in his sidekick, LG, as well! Jim DeMint is an honor to South Carolina, as is Jon Kyl to Arizona. But the other two can simply go pound sand for all I think of them!
If the Republican Party is ever to succeed, it must hold fast to its conservative limited government, liberty, and fiscal values!!!!
I certainly hope Michael Steele gets the RNC chairmanship...don't know how that is even coming out...we hear very little Republican-related news.

January 24, 2009 - 11:57 ET by Jack BauerExcept from those Senate "Republicans" who desperately want Obama to succeed. My friends.
Why doesn't McCain stop reaching across the aisle, and just walk across the damned ditch, over to the Democrat side, and stay there?
I wish to God, Mark Levin would contest McCain is his primary next year.
