See, these things don't bother me. Even though I can't stand Obama or Biden, that's kind of funny to me. BUT, what does bother me is when the media held on to everything Palin said just waiting for her to slip up, and place it on the first page of print. For some reason everybody just lets all of Biden's slip-ups just go by like he's expected to say those kinds of things and nobody should take him seriously. So now I'm wondering, was the media holding Palin up to some extremely high standards for some reason? I don't know. But I do know that according to ABC's Terry Moran, Obama has a "bold and confident signature".

In all honesty I believe President Obama was not happy with Old Hoof in Mouth. Every little gaff, misstep and blunder is going to amplified. I did not vote for them but in things of this nature I am willing to give the President the benefit of doubt and believe he was not amused and I hope he sent a message to the crowd who laughed and took Biden to the woodshed. Biden will most likely have to take up golf if he doesn't already do it cause I think he is going to be a man with a lot of time on his hands.
I remember another Vice President who when the Presidential Party did a tour of Monticello, there was a bust of Jefferson on a pedistile in the center of a room. V.P. Gore asked the guide "Who is this?" The look Clinton gave Gore was priceless. You could almost the thought bubble over Clinton's head, "Gadzooks, what a dumba**!"
If looks could kill, huh?? When Biden made that stupid crack about Justice Roberts, Obama just looked daggers at him...I wonder how many times Obama has wished he had chosen someone other than "diarrhea-of-the-mouth Biden" for vp...Biden really is the gift that keeps on giving. Obama's probably stocking up on duct tape for Joe's mouth.

my friend...I am trying very hard to keep a sense of humor about all of this.
I have been in a funk ever since the swearing-in on Tuesday. I have a sense that something very unsettling and potentially grave is coming as a result of what Obama is already doing and will do as president. He sure hasn't wasted any time, has he? Bush's chair in the Oval Office was barely cold before Obama began dismantling the protections and safeguards that took Bush almost 8 years to put in place. I don't feel as safe today as I did before noon on Tuesday.

I am trying to keep faith in the belief that whatever happens to our country, it will never be more than we are able to withstand. I believe that this country is here for a reason, and it is strong enough to weather anything, including a disastrous president...We've had them before, and we will have them again. But the times that we live in now are so dangerous, that the wrong man with the wrong administration, along with the wrong people running the show on Capitol Hill, can, and I fear will do potentially irreparable damage.
In the meantime, I'll keep praying.

I agree with you. I also mostly feel like I am watching a train wreck in slow motion with millions of people cheering it along. And an overwhelming feeling that nothing can be done to stop it or minimize the damage.
Another thing that worries me is that every inch 'they' gain careening down the hill will never be regained to put us back where we need to be. It never goes that direction.
And 'ditto' on the cabin fever...We're back in the deep freeze here...It's 12 below right now! Brrrrr!

My husband has said almost the exact same thing, but I'm not so sure how much of this that we'll ever hear about, especially from the MSM. They'll try to hide and obfuscate anything negative about him. It is depressing to think about what the next four years will be like.

I've felt the same way...I'm seeing this all in slow motion, and I'm feeling helpless to do anything to stop it. Don't the people cheering and supporting all this see what's really happening, and if they don't see it, why don't they? Don't they understand where all this could lead? It is so clear to so many of the rest of us...

I was thinking that same thing yesterday. I am sure there are plenty of people in Obama's acquaintance who know how to "make it look like an accident" and thus send a message to anyone else who has the audicity to disagree with the WINNER's (How is that spelled? Whiner? Weiner?) agenda.

I have been in a funk ever since the swearing-in on Tuesday. I have a sense that something very unsettling and potentially grave is coming as a result of what Obama is already doing and will do as president. He sure hasn't wasted any time, has he? Bush's chair in the Oval Office was barely cold before Obama began dismantling the protections and safeguards that took Bush almost 8 years to put in place. I don't feel as safe today as I did before noon on Tuesday.
