NewsBusters associate editor Noel Sheppard appeared on tonight's edition of the CNN Headline News show "Glenn Beck" where he discussed his recent exposé of the BBC being cowed by a radical environmentalist into removing information from a story about how global temperatures are declining, not rising as climate alarmists suggest.
Update: The show reruns at 9PM ET and midnight ET.
Update: The video is up now. It's pretty long. If you're familiar with the story already, fast-forward to the 7:00 mark to see Beck discuss it with Sheppard.

I just posted on OT about this, I just watched it...great job Noel, I was watching show live...rest of my comments are on OT, which I posted right before this was here...you needed more time...you put everything succinctly in the time you did have though...I am so glad you are exposing this for what it is, and very glad Beck is too.
I had a feeling it would be you on this subject when I watched the show last night and he was talking about this very subject, I mentioned that to my husband and said you were all over this, and poof there you were.

April 8, 2008 - 22:32 ET by Wilbur747Just saw you on Glenn Beck. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I absolutley HATE this AGW/AGClimatechange/denier stuff. As you mentioned, this is an "infant science", thus we, as 'infants' should, as liberals always say, question authority. In this case, the "authority" is the IPCC, MSM, Algore, and the rest of the chicken littles.
But as we all know, the information that the MSM spews out will turn heads simply because people don't have the gumption (sp) to think for themselves. They always want somebody else to tell them what to think.
I can't help but I think back on on what Joseph Goebbels said about telling lies. "If you tell a lie long enough..." (paraprashing here)

Beck nailed it too. In particular, I liked how he skewered this line, "As time goes by, the infant science of climatology improves."
The BBC is beneath contempt for its part. (Well, I guess I can always edit that comment if anyone threatens to make anything of it.)

Q: What does this line of code (javascript) do to a webpage?

April 9, 2008 - 08:43 ET by NL207That depends entirely on what the user defined expression, 'autoRefresh()', actually does. You are assuming based on its name that it refrshes the current page. It may actually be doing something else instead or in addition.

April 9, 2008 - 10:55 ET by BacchusHi Matt: Then what's the point of having any videos on the homepage if they won't - or even might not - play all the way through? A ten minute video with an eight minute autorefresh? It doesn't work. Hey, I'm just giving you guys user feedback, that whole user experience thing, you know.

Autorefresh wastes bandwidth
April 9, 2008 - 19:26 ET by PopularTechYou are better off having a check box at the top of the page or in your personal options that people can select to enable this feature and save it via a cookie, setting this to autoenabled for every visitor wastes bandwidth. You should also block fasterfox requests.
This will improve the web page performance when you are having a lot of traffic which makes the page inaccessible.
