My Rant for Today

I know I am preaching to the choir here with most readers, but I thought I would sound off on a topic that has already received a lot of scrutiny here but still continues to irk the hell out of me.

It’s the Hillary Clinton pandering, and the fact that the people to whom she is pandering look at her like a god and have no idea to the extent they are being used.

In my opinion, the Clinton machine knows the only way she has a chance at winning the Oval Office is to have such a high turnout and support from the segments of this population who are most likely to vote for a Democrat.

Specifically, I point to just a few more recent points of pandering:

Her phony southern drawl when speaking in the south, to appeal to a segment, mostly minorities as being “one of them”. Nothing could be further from the truth.

To her audacious refusal to denounce the true force behind the ultra liberal / socialist movement – moveon.org and George Sorros.

The “Clinton Cackle” which is nothing more than a thinly veiled scripted attempt be her to portray herself as something other than the witch with ice water veins that she really is.

“End the war now!” Yes I voted for it, but Bush lied to me.” “The millions of people that will die if we pull out is an exaggeration being put out by the Bush administration”. “Our best strategy is to pull out and try to hug the terrorists. If that doesn’t work, we can always bury our heads in the sand like my husband did”.

Bill and Hillary holding hands at photo ops – need I say more on this one?

The ridiculous notion of redistribution of wealth by taxing the rich to give every newborn $5,000. Who is most likely not to see through that scheme and support it? The poor and the minorities. “She wants to give me cash? I’ll vote for her! More taxes? Who cares! I hardly pay any as it is!”

It is really pathetic how cold and calculating the Clinton political machine is when it comes to selling their own souls and the souls of the voters they pander to in an effort to get into office. And they never lose a wink of sleep over it.

I said it when Bubba was in office and I say it pertains to Hillary now – neither ever had or will ever have any desire to “do good” or “doe the right thing” with the power bestowed upon a President. It is all about the rush of personal power that they are after and how they can abuse it to advance themselves politically and personally.

They are shams and the people who support them are lemmings.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

Whenever you get these

Whenever you get these feelings about Hillary, here's what you do. Take a deep breath, count to three, and exhale while saying "Howard Dean in 2004." You remember Howard? He was the guy who the media loudly and constantly proclaimed had the White House for the taking? The guy who was breaking fund raising records? The guy who all the pundits cherished? And... the guy who never got enough votes to take even one state.

There are a lot of people on the Hillary bandwagon, but when Democrats go into the booth to pull the lever, they're usually smart enough to rethink their support.

Thanks for the comforting

Thanks for the comforting words!

I have been saying for a long time that Hillary will melt down as we get closer to the general election. I’m often scolded by conservatives for underestimating her, but I really don’t believe she has any chance at the end of the day.

My frustration is how she gets such a pass from seemingly everyone I see and hear despite her complete transparency.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

Adding to the Hillary isn't inevitable thread

I wrote yesterday that CNN did a segment asking if Hillary had peaked too soon.

They went on to show example after example of the left beginning to resist that concept.   The funniest was the long skit SNL did to open their new season.

I missed the SNL skit...

I missed the SNL skit... damn!

Unfortunately I remember 1976 when the comments were Jimmy who?  And again in 1992 when people first heard of the boy from Hope.

I’ve been voting since 1970 and I donot recall the MSM being so biased and lockstep for a candidate as they are now.  No lie will go untold if it supports their agenda.

Am I missing some thing here?

Did I miss the relevancy of this info?

People of Nevada, Rise up.....

IF I was from Nevada, I would be embarassed that someone Like Harry Reid was elected from Nevada.

Even Californicate would not have picked this guy to represent them.   The man owes an Apology for the "War is Lost" comment, and that one is going to be his undoing......He has Bad Judgement, and he supports the Terrorists in a War, "Reid LIES" is now a part of his History.

People of Nevada.......speak up.....do you want this guy representing the State of Nevada in the Senate ? ?

Power to the People

If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to e-mail Sen. Harkin demanding that he apologize for misrepresenting Rush Limbaugh's comments re: "phony soldiers".  Be sure to point out that a failure to apologize would prove that he has absolutely no integrity.

Power to the people!

QueenMum,  I'm sure by

QueenMum,

I'm sure by now. The DIMS have created a rule in their InBox that all negative emails go directly to DELETED ITEMS folder to keep in step with their false sense of reality.

Senator Harkin? "Integrity" from one of the Phony Soldiers?

Senator Harkin is the poster boy for phony soldiers.   He told serial lies about his service, pretending to have served in combat.

And this guy dares to attack Rush for helping to expose phony, lying soldiers?  The hypocricy is mind-boggling, but, of course, Democrats have no shame at all.

I think that I am going

I think that I am going to become a lib because:

1-You can say anything you want and get by with it.  Bush is a lair, Bush is a serial killer, Rush is on drugs, the men of our military are murders, use the “N” word, etc.

2-You don’t have to think. All you do is spout the DNC talking points. (I see this about everyday in our local paper in the letters to the editor. The same people spouting what they have heard on the alphabet networks.)

3-You can cozy up to the Hollywood crowd and say Sean Penn is a great American for his diplomacy to Hugo Chavez.

4-You can live by Hollywood values.

5-You don’t need facts. Emotions outweigh facts in all things. If there are facts you are at liberty to distort them.

6-You don’t have to debate anybody on global warming because Owl Gore says the debate is over.

7-You don’t have to defend anything that the libs in Congress do or say. The MSM does it for you.

8-You can laugh like Hillary when ask a question you don’t like.

9-You wouldn’t have to waste time writing letters to the editor to counter the BS coming from #2.

10-You could spout every socialist idea coming from Hillary Rotten, O’bama, and the Breck Boy and not have to give details on their plans.

11-You can complain about talk radio but never would waste your time listening. You just follow the line you hear from Media Matters or Moveon.org.

12-You can get by with being corrupt or crooked because you control the MSM.

Anymore reasons?

Attack of the FAT!!!

Almost 2 times as many US adults are obese as compared to European adults.

Oh my dear lord that is a depressing and disgusting statistic.  How shameful.

When are we going to start to do something about this?  These fatties literally add between 100 and 150 billion dollars to our healthcare costs per year in America.

Approx. 1/3 of our population is OBESE!  This is an epidemic.

You complain about people wasting your money, but then sit back and watch friends/family double fisting french fries down their pie holes.  Tell every slob you know, the buck stops here.  We will no longer allow you to get fat, get sick, burden our healthcare system, then die a premature death.  Sorry, we will no longer accept slow suicide due to patheticness.  Time to exert some self-control.  Time to show a little self-respect.

Turns out the image of the fat, lazy American is pretty accurate.

I've got an idea to solve the problem!

Make the fatties pay for themselves. No "our" exists in my health plans for the obese...

Unfortunately

Unfortunately Sarc,

That's not how our system works.

For a simple example, just look at any company's insurance program.

Companies with healthier employees have lower insurance costs.(not too mention higher productivity)

Say it ain't so bro.

Say it ain't so bro.

Fat and Sinful:(

Way too many US adults participate in abortion, fornication, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, pornography, celebrity worship, and wretched indulgences and excess of all sorts...including gluttony...

Oh my dear Lord that is a depressing and disgusting fact of life.  How shameful.

When are we going to start to do something about this?  These sinners literally add between 100 and 150 trillion dollars to our healthcare costs per year in America.

Approx. 100% of our population is sinful!  This is an epidemic.

You complain about people wasting your money, but then sit back and watch friends/family sin away.  Tell every sinner you know, the buck stops here.  We will no longer allow you to sin, get sick, burden our healthcare system, then die a premature death.  Sorry, we will no longer accept slow suicide due to patheticness.  Time to exert some self-control.  Time to show a little self-respect.

Turns out the image of the inful agnostic American is pretty accurate.

Hey Leon, TM has a good point...

...why just pick on the "fat" people:

  • drinkers put a burden on our medical system with all the DUI related injuries
  • divorced people put a burden on our health system by causing huge amounts of stress on the couple and their children, and stress is known to be a major contributer to bad health
  • fornicators (sex outside of marriage) contributes a burden on our health care system paying for abortions, etc.
  • sodomy contributes huge burdens on our health system with AIDS and other STD's
  • etc, etc, etc,

So, Leon, let's not just pick on the fat!  Come on all you abortionists, fornicators, drug abusers, alcohol abusers, pornographers , celebrity worshipers, and wretched indulgence folks, get with the program.  Leon has a word for you..."stop wasting my money."

ignoring is the foundation of ignorance, vr - very sad

TM, great point though.  Instead of complaining about "fat" people's burden on our health care, let's cover them all.  I am sure Leon isn't guilty of any of the above so I am sure he will agree with us and join in.

So next time Leon pokes at the "Pilsbury Fat Folks", lets' remind him of the other costly "sinners"!

Brotha's gotta work, brotha's gotta eat.

I wasn't ignoring, I was getting my work on.

VRWC, I agree with

VRWC,

I agree with everything you've said.  I'm all for putting a stop to all of the behavior you've listed above.

no more duis
no more divorce
no more abortions
no more unprotected sex
etc. etc. etc.

Everyone in their right minds agrees with everything I've said above.  Everyone knows that all these behaviors are wrong.

But fat is different.  People think it's ok to be fat.  Then, what happens is more people get fat, so more people think it's ok.  And so on, and so on, through the generations, until you have entire families of fat people living in communities filled with families of fat people, breathing heavy, sweating profusely, taking up too much earth space, inconveniencing everyone around them, and then dying young.  It spreads like a disease.  No joke.

Thank god it's not contagious.

There are so maaaany fat people proportionally in America.  It's ridiculous.  It's a real life joke.  And everyone that accepts it is guilty of allowing their country to get slovenly and lazy.

All that other stuff is accounted for.  We already have an outcry from a sizable portion of our population concerning every item you've listed above.  We're taught to never engage in those behaviors.  But many, many Americans aren't taught the wrongness of fat.

Now it's time to add fat to the top of the list.  Because the simple truth is that if you're fat, it just means you're lazy.

Now march!  One, two, one, two.

*cue triumphant music*

Leon going on about fat

Leon going on about fat people again, cue the exit music.....

Come on BD,You're a

Come on BD,

You're a military man.  You should appreciate this fight more than anyone.

We live in some dark times.  We Americans have to be ready to defend ourselves.  We have to be ready to protect each other.

And if we're speaking frankly, and I think we are, I'd much rather have a fit and healthy American by my side than some out of shape goober, should it ever come to such extremes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there aren't many branches of the military that allow obese soldiers, right?

And on that note, I am beginning a woodshed topic.  So that's where I'll be..If  anyone should need me.

Fitness comes in more than

Fitness comes in more than the one facet - physical.

Other facets include:

  • Moral fitness  (Outright lying to the US public proves one is not morally fit.   So is valuing a criminal on death row more than the victims he beheaded an example of failure in moral fitness)
  • Societal fitness (Failure to value those who are doing the hard work in the fields of responsibility more so than those who simply dine at the table of rights also proves one is not fit.)
  • Logical fitness (failure to connect logical trains in thought processes proves one is not fit)
  • Emotional fitness (failure to understand that accidentally killing innocents is NOT worse than doing so intentionally proves one is not fit)

Or am I wrong?

I agree wholeheartedly

I agree wholeheartedly BD.  I advocate all forms of self-improvement.

But I'd like to ADD that all of those things are improved with the addition of an active, physically fit body.

Right?

GRADUATES: MAYBE ITS WHAT THEY DESERVE

Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 9-28-07

For every 100 ninth-graders in the United States, 68 graduate on time. Of those, 40 enroll directly in college. Of those, 27 are still enrolled the following year. Of those, 18 earn an associate degree within three years or a bachelor’s degree within six years. That means 82 are lost along the way, according to the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education.
CRAWFISH NOTE: Sooo, where is the guilt? So many parents are lazy enablers, the lib culture infects, few teachers actually give students the grade they deserve but winners still find a way to win.
Sorry, no guilt and no perfection. Destiny has its ways. Never in history has a country pandered so much in education… where there is an exception to the exception for everything. Maybe after we deport 12 million illegals the low achievers will also have more jobs instead of tax checks.
Pretend education is a sport. Overdue it and keep raising the skill and time bar. That would rocket us to the top of the world in short time.

Doug Schexnayder, Ph.D. (theconservativecrawfish)

WILL LIBMEDIA INVESTIGATE $146 MILLION WASTED?

At least Fox News is reporting that mostly members of the State Department have been breaking the law (the rule) concerning air travel…unless its a 14 hour flight the bureaucrats must take a coach flight. But noooo.
Now will Waxman investigate? Will names be named? Will offender jobs be lost? Will anyone be fined? Will Dept. Heads lose their job? What will be the consequences of wasting $146 million dollars of your tax money?
The smart money says its a non-issue with the libmedia… the megatrillion dollar gov-ment is “above” all that corporate fraud-type stuff… the ultimate Sugar Daddy for vote-buying socialism must not be tarnished… lest inquiring minds dig into other areas of multimillion dollar waste. Since the Congressional royalty is not part of the solution they are part of the problem. Like you didn’t know that already.

Doug Schexnayder, Ph.D. (theconservativecrawfish)

Yes, I agree that

Yes, I agree that Physically "Fit" is better.

Too funny Jeff.  Thanks for the laugh.

Wait a second...

You seem to be conflating company (private) health insurance with government-run health insurance socialism. Why??

I don't mind the private variety at all, but I'm desperately against Hillarycare, because I don't want to pay the health costs of overweight chain-smoker nutcases who ruin their health. I fear others' similar desires not to pay for idiots will lead to widespread backdoor health control-freakery beyond even what we're saddled-with right now, once she gains power...

I need to tell them to register Republican and then vote like I vote for once if I want to quit paying. The idea that the big government socialism Hillary proposes is AT ALL efficient is blinkered, and is belied by the facts worldwide. We both know it, so why not admit it????
JMR

Sarc, Admit what?  I'm

Sarc,

Admit what?  I'm not talking about what COULD happen, I'm talking about what IS happening.

The simple solution then

The simple solution then Leon would be, if you were in a job that consisted of many unhealthy individuals, to simply bring up the issue of perhaps a more 'fair' payment plan where those considered in the healthy index for their age and height, blood pressure n' all that would pay less.  Obviously this would be met with alot of problems since all that complaining and petitioning would fall on deaf ears.

Now, Imagine Healthcare for ALL.  Try making the cost be more effective.  Point being, its much better when its kept to the private, company paid insurance policies.  What you speak out against DOES indeed have merit, however, the solution your side is offering is to offer healthcare GLOBALLY for these people included.  LITERALLY everyone will pay for it then.  No longer will you be merely paying into your company insurance at your company, but you'll be paying for ALL the 'fatties' across the US, the ones in your company as WELL as other companies *and* those unemployed.

I agree, as someone who grew up terribly out of shape and now as someone in great shape, that paying into my company so the older, richer, and lazier head honchos can get their third bypass surgery (no joke) and still watch them eat McDonalds daily DOES infuriate me.  But I'd be MUCH angrier if I was paying for healthcare for ALL fat people eating at McDonalds, not just the people there that work with me.

I wonder what leon says

I wonder what leon says to HIS fat friends? Leon can you maybe give us a verbatim to use as a model? Maybe something like:

"Hey fat friend, get thin - you cost me too much healthcare money... Of course, I will continue my indulgences as always, and YOU will still have finance my healthcare problems for all that - too bad!

So get thin now you fat bastard, you are costing me drug, gambling and strip club money!!!"

Leon - wrong again

Leon –

In the small group arena, under 50 lives, the rate is derived by what is known as community rating. Without blowing your mind with the details, small groups benefit ZERO from the actual healthiness or unhealthiness of its employees.

In the case of large groups, 50 and above employees, which is the minority of the insured groups in this country, it is true that there is some experience rating in their premium. In other words, these large groups can experience some favorable ratings if their employees are healthy. However, their base rate is impacted by the overall profitability of the insurance industry.

More unhealthy people affects the rates of EVERYONE.

In summary, and as usual, your post is misleading at best, and flat out incorrect at worst.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

You're wrong.  Employee

You're wrong.

Employee obesity costs employers. "Obesity is a risk factor for many chronic diseases," said Long. "Members with chronic diseases account for 80+ percent of the health care cost for organizations, including direct medical and pharmacy expenses, most of which is paid by the employer. Members with chronic disease are also more prone to accidents, which means they cost employers more in worker's compensation and disability claims."

Don't be angry at me that you don't know how to use a dictionary.

Sounds like a personal problem.

Leon - Com on.

LOL - I could never get argry at someone as uneducated and bigoted as you.  It just wouldnt be right.

I do find it laugh out loud funny though that you are trying to make a point of me using the work "ultimately" instead of "ultimate" in a sentence rather than to try to defend the dozen or so topics you were proven wrong on in this thread.

Sometimes you make my day Leon.. you really do.
