I was watching an interview between Fred and Sean Hannity last night, and Hannity asked Fred if he would like to take some time to offer an opinion on Hillary. He said that now wasn't the time for that, and he declined to make any comments about her. It was a nice change from the typical pol who would say "Sean, I'm not going to engage in name calling or attacks. It's beneath me. If my opponent wants to lower herself and attack me, like she did when she said that I'm a blah, blah, blah" and engage in negatives while supposedly decrying their use.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Hurricane researcher William Gray lowered his 2007 forecast slightly Friday, calling for 15 named storms, with eight becoming hurricanes and four becoming intense.
On May 31, at the outset of hurricane season, Gray had called for 17 named storms and nine hurricanes, five of them intense.
"We've lowered our forecast from our May predictions because of slightly less favorable conditions in the tropical Atlantic," said Philip Klotzbach, a member of Gray's team at Colorado State University.

I wish he would also explain why the first two named storms of this year, Andrea and Barry, which only attained tropical storm status for a very brief period of time, and showed little in the way of organization, managed to qualify as tropical storms? In the past we've had several major storms that had brief wind gusts that exceeded hurricane strength, but lacked organization, that were never named, but this year we're naming them. Also, the list of storm names has always been for storms over the Atlantic Ocean. Now we're using these names for storms (previously known as typhoons) occuring over the Pacific.
It seems to me like the weather guessers and doom&gloomers are worried that since El Nino, which produced all the 2004/2005 hurricanes, has turned, and we're now back to a typical storm pattern, that they need to run the count up as high as possible in order to maintain a shred of credibility.

It seems to me like the weather guessers and doom&gloomers are worried that since El Nino, which produced all the 2004/2005 hurricanes, has turned, and we're now back to a typical storm pattern, that they need to run the count up as high as possible in order to maintain a shred of credibility.

Newport News is not Selma, just another high crime, drug infested city no different than Newark, New Jersey. The culture Vick was brought up in no doubt influenced his dog fighting ways. If many people in your neighborhood walk around with killer dogs can you really be surprised there is a pit bull fight in the alley? Whoppi was right about culture, but don't blame the deep south which includes the black crescent, home of a majority black population, cotton and churches at every crossroad.

He had the audacity to question President Bush's sense of decency in remarking on the President's casual banter on his plans on leaving office. His remarks about replenishing the "ol coffers" must have really got to Matthews in a way that the millions that President Clinton has received from Arab oilmen and shady billionaires did not.
