Question: How offended are you by the Michael Vick dog-fighting issue? Has this been over-hyped given all the other horrible things athletes and Hollywoodans do that incites less outrage, or is their not enough media disgust?

Bowser Mauling
August 25, 2007 - 12:46 ET by Lame CherryHere am I not the least offended by Michael Vick and dog fighting as that is really not the question to ask.
The psychological question is why are their eruptions of such barbarism in American culture? In Fargo, ND just yesterday an immigrant black male was raping a woman in the hallway of an apartment for the duration and people there simply walked by without calling for help or trying to help the woman.
The fury inside Americans is the frustration of being so outlawed in everything we do. We are criminals if we don't wear seat belts, but we see sodomites, child molesters and the assorted jocks like OJ murdering people and getting away with it. Vick simply has the absolute money deciding he is beyond the law much like the Rockefellers and assorted banking launderers who everyone knows gets billions in illegal drug money from Castro to Columbia, the IRS never blinks nor do the Feds in the bank auditors.
Bill Clinton rape and savages women.......and not one thing happens to him. Vick seeing all of this simply joins the big shot crowd as he hears all the stories too about the reporters and corporate heads being stationed or visiting southeast Asia to rape kids and they all get away with it.
These little thugs see this and voila vent their fury too in the most barbaric way possible. This is not about football, but is about the hidden debauchery and sadistic way the ruling powers conduct their private lives and are terrified of it being exposed. I keep telling peopl these DNC moves to "make children legal adults" is well known in these circles as the legal way for these perverts to rape children legally. If a child is an adult by the DNC standards, then they can say yes to sex.
So focusing on Vick is only the tip of the iceberg of what triggers these thugs who come out of neighborhoods with their version of Alex Jones and Jeff Rense telling them exactly what they are seeing, "White kids and the uptown cops are running drugs and living in the fancy mansions while they get busted and end up in prison".
It is not about have and have not, it is about unequal justice. Vick was just doing what thousands of pet breeders do and what Bob Barker gets cheered about.........America is 2 cultures in the established Humane Society gets to slaughter millions of animals, but Vick does the same thing in dead dogs and he ends up in prison.
This story received the attention it did because the NFL commissioner had a sore spot in being a liberal whose pop was against the Vietnam War and Nixon got him booted out of office. So Goodell was not hammering Vick, but was seeking to hammer the establishment back for what his family endured.
As I noted before, you can take cameras around to all of these justice officials, NFL types and media jerks and you will find Fido locked in a 8 by 8 wire kennel, panting in the heat, flies buzzing all over the place, poop smeared to a brown concrete and covered with ticks and mosquitoes.........because the last time they took the dog out was a week ago. If Vick belongs in prison, then these types belong in jail too.....and that included Hollywood.
Vick was chosen to make an example of, because the people after him all know someone who is molesting some kid on vacation, dropping kilos of coke or has that mysterious young male assistant who doesn't seem to do anything, but always has nice jewelry and a new car........and that is what these people dangle for the public to chew on for the pit bull mob.
Kobe Bryant brutalized a girl in Colorado and he was just on Jimmy Kimmel the other night. Kimmel has on Elvis Costello booting a George Bush doll.......why shouldn't Vick think he is above the law as Al Franken is calling for the murder of US leaders and the Democrats run him for Senate.
This is what you get when America becomes a barbarian nation. The press feeds you Vick though to keep America from finding out about their secret debauchery.
*HIC IACET ARTORIVS REX QVONDAM REXQVE FVTVRVS
if we are so barbaric there
August 25, 2007 - 13:53 ET by Conservative Voiceif we are so barbaric there wouldn't be an outrage. And there is a difference in how the Humane Society kills dogs and how Vick did.

Clinton Stumps With Celebs in Vineyard
Aug 26 12:45 AM
By DENISE LAVOIE, Associated Press Writer
OAKS BLUFF, Mass. (AP) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton returned to her
favorite family vacation spot Saturday to raise money for her
presidential campaign at a celebrity-studded event where she took some
pointed swipes at President Bush.
Clinton—accompanied by her husband and their daughter Chelsea—smiled
broadly and swayed to the music as singer Carly Simon and her two
children, Ben and Sally Taylor, sang “Devoted to You” for a Martha’s
Vineyard crowd of more than 2,000.
Simon, along with actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, showered the
Clintons with praise and predicted the senator from New York will be
elected as the nation’s first woman president. “Is it Mrs. President or
Madam President?” Simon asked a smiling Clinton.
The Clintons frequently vacationed on Martha’s Vineyard during their
years in the White House. The senator told the crowd that the family
has been vacationing in the island for 14 years.
Bill Clinton told the crowd his wife would make the strongest president
among those seeking to succeed Bush in January 2009 because she has the
best plans to deal with national security, climate change, health care
and education. (AND THEY ARE?)
CRAWFISH NOTE: What could be better? A lib-gal
reporter drooling over the serial adulterer and his wonderful Cowardly
semi-spouse? No aggressive reporting here… no conservatives in sight.
Its a natural fit for the secular “always acting” Klintons to be in or
around Hollyweird. The Klintons do what actors do… they pretend to be
somebody they are not… as a lifelong job to get money. The Klintons are
secular socialists who admire socialist thug dictators for their power
over people. Have you ever seen this sort of juvenile borg behavior
from a republican gathering? Well, have you? Do you really get good
vibes when the unstable Hollyweird moral midgets gush over the
Klintons? What does that tell you? Is it still the 1960s at your house?

Maybe we could arrange regional NB's parties for Pirates Day. What a bunch of silliness, and such fun, too.

botg
August 25, 2007 - 17:48 ET by shawn228I realize what your question was botg, but here is what Judith said
" Wrong, wrong, wrong! Repubs come in many shapes and sizes and have many
different ideas. I'm going with the guy that can keep me safe and I
will swallow my problems with abortion etc. We are not a one issue
party no matter what you libbys think.'"
So Abortion would be an issue for the candidate the GOP chooses. Therefore in his case, I was merely responding to her post. My goodness for a person that refuses to name the Democratic Challenger with the best chance of winning until a month til the primaries you are sure quick to jump to after the primaries:)
yup that's me
August 25, 2007 - 17:53 ET by botgthe issues will remain the candidates can fizzle in a week. (eeeya Dean for example)

August 25, 2007 - 17:55 ET by shawn228Well, if it came down to Rudy and Hillary, probably not a secret who most people on the right will vote for. I'm saying abortion and Christian values will influence who you vote for during the primaries.
On social conservatism
August 26, 2007 - 05:39 ET by UnsaneNot I, shawn. I am much less a social conservative that I am a fiscal one.
How do I vote for President?
1) National security/foreign policy
2) Fiscal issues
Issues like abortion and "Christian values" are WAAAAAY down the list for me, if they are there at all.

It is obviously disgusting
August 25, 2007 - 22:05 ET by NonanonIt is obviously disgusting but the media have overblown it. Why is there not the same type of outrage over the deaths of human beings? Somehow animals have been elevated from their original created position of being below humans to something analogous to worshipping them now. They act out of instinct, not thought, emotion or feelings. This assigning human traits to them isn't right.
Perhaps if we label what Vick did as 'post birth abortion' the liberals would support it and rally around him. After all, any kind of abortion is proper to them.
I don't think it's
August 25, 2007 - 23:45 ET by zfI don't think it's over-hyped, it's about hyped as it should be. I will agree however that many other horrible things are under-hyped. And a comparison isn't even needed to see that.
I was shocked how many apologists there were for Ron Artest when he jumped in the stands and incited a near riot to name one example. Was it really necessary to put everyone in harm's way by jumping into the stands to cripple a fellow human being just because he hit you with a dinky water bottle and wounded your fragile ego?
Halloween
August 26, 2007 - 00:47 ET by shawn228Not usually a big fan of re makes but this looks pretty good. I remember watching the original on VCR with my soccer team when I was 10. I could not sleep for days.

On Halloween
August 26, 2007 - 05:43 ET by UnsaneI re-viewed the original recently. Some things you just can't re-make. This is one of them.
The funny thing is that I originally saw Halloween when I was eight. But then, my parents were extremely laissez-faire when it came to me watching movies. As long as it there was no pornography or anything blatantly sexual in the flick, it was fair game for me to watch, no matter how violent or gory it got.
