'Mmm. Of course I'm going to blame this on a lack of Federal funding and the cost of Bush's war in Iraq. The question is, is there a chance in the world that a journalist out there will raise the question of, why did we not address these problems during the era of peace and prosperity and balanced budgets?
Mmm. What am I worried about, most journalists don't consider the facts."

August 5, 2007 - 00:43 ET by rob6677"This is John Roberts "reporting" in Minneapolis the day after a horrible tragedy has taken place. I would now like to "discuss" the possible reasons for this event. First there is the funding for the war on terror that could have been used to prevent this, then we have global warming that expanded the bridge, next is national health care that would be used to "save" everyone, and last but not least more taxes for the people that can't do their job to begin with. Normally at this time I would go to a panel of experts and debate about causes and preventive measures, but I see here in my "handbook" that the "debate" is over and that I am right"

Bridge over Minnesota Waters
August 5, 2007 - 18:59 ET by Lame CherryPersonally, I detest these minor events being made out to be catastrophes as while my sympathy is for the families.....a bridge falling and several people dying is not a catastrophe.
An entire island being washed away by a tidal wave that is a catastrophe for the people of the island but not the world.
A volcano blowing up and it snowing across North America all summer so people starved to death....that is a catastrophe.
I wanted to point something out which unless you had a local view of Minnesota you will never hear this.
When President Bush came to Minnesota, who but Muslim Keith Ellison was on Air Force One along with other Democrats screaming for Bush's impeachment. Strange when the chips are down the little children run to the real man in the room to protect them.
President Bush commended the common Minnesota people rushing to the bridge and helping rescue people. The Minnesota communists of the Twin Cities immediately took up the chant patting themselves on the back of "us noble Minnesotans".
President Bush when touring the bridge was outstanding in the camera caught him in a lengthy conversation with a bridge expert and Bush was doing more than listening.......he was pointing things out to the expert and the guy was nodding his head that Bush was right.
I have not reviewed the data close enough on the bridge to make an engineering assessment like the NTSB is supposed to, but in viewing the video of the bridge falling without sounding conspiracy minded.......that section of the bridge fell "too" level as if the entire section let go on both ends almost at once. That condition is almost statistically impossible to happen. In reality, the section should have dropped on one end, pulled the other end and what happened on the other side of the bridge by the shore in a sort of limp looking pulled apart bridge should have happened.
Yes as the NTSB states cold and heat do move steel and concrete, but for this kind of movement one would have seen huge gaps in the concrete slabs (yes the slabs were moving and being fixed, but the superstructure steel was not covered in inches wide cracks).
The bridge behaved exactly like if one knocked out one section and it pulled the other sections like dominoes, but the problem is the first section did not behave as it should have.....the same stresses should have been seen in every section of the bridge and yet they held together and pulled down.
Someone in 1967 could have put inferior steel in one part to cause this perhaps, but in only doing so in one section of the bridge also does not make sense as corruption is usually complete like in the Brooklyn Bridge whose iron cables were low quality.
In stating that I sincerely hope the NTSB does not pull a Richard Clark TWA 800 cover up in not telling Americans that plane was shot down by a missile. This bridge should be looked at as a crime scene, which it is yet, until the NTSB positively knows why one section of bridge perfectly let loose on both sides on one end, which then perfectly demolished the rest of the bridge like dominoes hooked together by steel cables.
That is what the Army Corp video shows and does not match the structural fatigue scenario.

August 5, 2007 - 21:28 ET by j17ghsDemocratic Party publicist and CNN reporter John Roberts recently found that he had developed a conscience and after years of telling bald-face lies to the American public on behalf of Democrats, he prepares here to end it all by jumping off the roof to the street below.
