August 2, 2007 - 15:37 ET by Clear thinkerMad Pole...
I had a dream last night very similar to what you wrote.
I dreamed that instead of crossing into Pakistan into no-mans land to try and get Bin Laden and his cronies, that we simply bought up all pork products the government can find then do high altitude night bombing on every village and town in Pakistan that we think Bin Laden could be hiding. We bomb using pigs feet, tails, heads and any other identifiable part of the pig so that when people woke they would find pig parts everywhere. Repeat this for about a month and I'm betting Bin Laden would be kicked out of his own religion, and the area he is in.

Bridge Collapse
August 2, 2007 - 09:38 ET by mnconv92Surprise surprise the nuts are blaming Bush and Iraq for the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. A peak at the huffington post comment section blames halliburton and iraq for the collapse among other things. How predictable are these folks! They'll find a way to blame global warming also. The reason those shelves
August 2, 2007 - 14:58 ET by Carl KolchakThe reason those shelves are bare in Zimbabwe is because that collectivization is so good that people are always in the store buying stuff and they can't keep the items on the shelves. You should only trust trustworthy publications like "Pravda". "Pravda" means truth and they always tell the truth, so when you see those bare shelves, just remember that collectivization is working wonders for the people of Zimbabwe.

This is splendid undeniable fact for all you “religious liberals” who

French President visiting Wolfboro, NH
August 2, 2007 - 10:09 ET by ThisnThatDid anyone know that the President of France is on a 2-week vacation in Wolfboro, NH on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee (BTW, that's just across the lake where I live)? Expect the "local" paper, the Globe, to become really agitated over this for the next few weeks. They've already started, with today's article. Typical Globe snobbishness: "If Lake Winnipesaukee's reputation for motorcycles, power boats, and jet skis seems unlikely to attract a sophisticated, cultured Frenchman, Wolfeboro itself is a picturesque small town that retains the charm of early 20th century New England". And, "Certainly there are more French fries than fine French restaurants in town, though if Sarkozy gets the urge, he could find a nice bit of Camembert or wedge of brie at Camelot, a downtown book and gift shop that also sells an assortment of French cheeses".
That's just the beginning, because obviously the Globe thinks foreign visitors come to America to sample imported foods from the visitors' home countries, and the Globe delights in pointing out the unsophisticated communities that don't provide this type of "culture". It could get downright nasty over the next few weeks as the Globe's editoralists start to weigh in.
