On Obama's Job Plan, CNN Anchors Agree: 'Let's Hope It Is Not DOA'

Next week, President Obama will unveil his jobs plan.  Details haven't been revealed, but that didn't make a difference today on CNN's American Morning.  Anchor Carol Costello announced the day's "talk back" question and anchors Ali Velshi and Christine Romans promptly chimed in:

COSTELLO: So today's talk back question -- doesn't bode very well, does it? The question is President Obama's jobs plan DOA before it is even unveiled? Facebook.com/americanmorning. I will read your comments later this hour.

VELSHI: Let's hope it is not DOA.

ROMANS: I hope not.

Not knowing the specifics, Velshi and Romans express hope that it isn't dead on arrival.  Suppose it's a repeat of Obama's disastrous stimulus program.  That's a distinct possibility, with insiders such as ABC's George Stephanopoulos reporting Obama "wants the government to invest in clean energy and new construction projects."  Oh, and provide government-sponsored training to the jobless "while allowing them to still collect their unemployment benefits."  Sound vaguely familiar?

It doesn't matter.  Sight unseen, Ali and Christine are already worried about Obama's proposal.  Last year Ali held up a cake and sang "Happy Birthday" on the stimulus's "first birthday."  Maybe he and Romans can host a shower for Obama's new and improved plan next week.   I'll bring the diapers.

could these Obama who res imagine the fool has any real plan except more re-election campaiging in view of his deranged mindless fascist delusion that government can create a single job. In typical Bush Derangement Syndrome fashion they're mentally incapable of rational thought regarding either party, either their Dem pimps or the GOP they psychotically loathe and about which they mindlessly lie.

More green jobs and make work projects?

Submitted by Phryj1 on Thu, 09/01/2011 - 6:59pm.

Yeah, because it's worked so well up until this point, so why not? We've only lost a few hundred billion dollars! With the results Obama's getting, it's completely worth it, isn't it?

Progressives seem to be completely averse to facts and logic. Apparently, reality has a conservative bias.

file for bankruptcy protection, after consuming tax dollars? What could possibly go wrong with more tax dollars for companies like that?

And, new "construction jobs"?  More "shovel-ready" jobs that weren't, either shovel-ready, or jobs.

To re-elect Obama would be like the Titanic backing up and hitting the iceberg again.

Not worth the electrons on the teleprompter.

Plan is more spending, more taxes, more gimmes, more graft and more crony capitalism disguised as "investments".

The severity of Obama's sociopathy is the most stunning I have ever come across in more than three decades of psychiatric practice--and I am not kidding.

I find it amazing that there are still people in this country...

Submitted by Dave. on Thu, 09/01/2011 - 9:24pm.

...who, after three years (it seems like six now) of watching Obama pretend to be trying to create jobs (WHICH GOVERNMENT CANNOT DO, ANYWAY), still think doing the exact same thing yet again is going to somehow have a different result this time around.

And BTW, it's not just the MSM and those on the left, but a surprising number of conservatives that seem to be buying into Obama's charade, as well.

And the thing that just about everybody seems to be missing are the hundreds of job-killing and economy-destroying regs that are currently being put into place, with hundreds more being proposed.

Until something is done to address that, you can forget about any economic recovery.

Jobs plan already dead...

Submitted by snowshooze on Thu, 09/01/2011 - 9:49pm.

We don't even have to wait for it to arrive.
We are a biy curious about the price tag, whaddya think... will a trillion do it?
Because that is what it is going to be... a tax and spend job, or more likely, a spend and spend job.
How much money will it take to artificially bring the unemployment numbers to under 9%?
That is the only thing we do not know.
Sorry to ruin the suprise.

Almost Certainly

If he doesn't put it in writing, it's DOA.
If it spends, it's DOA.
If it taxes, it's DOA.
If it doesn't benefit the private sector, it's DOA.
If it bails out union jobs, it's DOA.
If it bails out states, it's DOA.
Let's face it, it's DOA.

How can someone, who has never had a real job, create jobs? Obama is a phony. He's a puppet.

Not only that

Submitted by jon_torlin on Fri, 09/02/2011 - 12:15pm.

But if his speech is going to be more of the same (I,me,me,blame, blame, not my fault, etc, et al) next week of his supposed jobs plan, how the hell can he face people now that this report came out with a net ZERO (like him) job growth?  If he continues with this speech, he's going to look like a damned fool!(on top of him looking foolish with his "request" for the JSOC)  I wouldn't put it past him to try to say the report is a lie.

But as we've seen him do from time to time, he will plug on ahead with his phoniness like he always does, as far as his sycophants are concerned, things ARE better already.

I'm expecting him to continue on as if this jobs report didn't come out and the MSM sycophants will follow along just oh so willingly.....at least the MSNBC ones, the others seem to be jumping ship.
