I wonder...
September 2, 2008 - 19:00 ET by Prester John...how many MSM types will point out the fact that that Governor Palin oversees a state budget of almost 10 BILLION dollars and then ask what kind of budgets has BHO ever managed?

Steven Colbert interviews secular coalition lobbyist
September 2, 2008 - 19:58 ET by sarcasmoI think conservatives here would enjoy this, even though he's as over the top as usual when Steven's in character. At the end of a pretty funny interview, he sings "God Bless America." He does a pretty damn good job of it solo, while repeatedly trying (and failing) to get the lobbyist to join in harmony. I laughed so hard it was tough to catch my breath.

It's been a week since the Roman Forum speech with the fireworks. That douche O'Reilly has been begging for an interview for months.....how about.......Thursday?" (evil laughter)
I've had it with Bill Oh!
He will suck-up like a hoover vacuum on high speed.
I'll watch C-Span, maybe the convention will be doing a segment relevant to Republicans while Bill is playing best friends with the big celebrity.
I promise you HuffPo and daily Kos will be laughing their arses off at Bill's big news.

September 2, 2008 - 23:08 ET by Hero SquadI tuned in MSNBC for one minute. In that time, Olbermann's big observation was that Fred Thompson coughed 70 times.
But he said he had empathy for Fred. Aww, what a nice man.

Go Fred!!!
September 2, 2008 - 21:19 ET by dodecahedronIf Fred Thompson had spoken with this much energy during the primaries, he'd be accepting the nomination this week.
He really, really didn't

Rick Sanchez - CNN
September 2, 2008 - 21:27 ET by axemanRick Sanchez of CNN asks via twitter.com/ricksanchezcnn:
"question: why was bitney spear's sister's
pregnancy fair game for the same people who now say palin pregnancy
coverage is not? curious?"
Perhaps because the younger Palin did not *ASK* to have her uterus examined by the tabloids and all of America?
Rick Sanchez....
September 2, 2008 - 21:36 ET by TexndocRick Sanchez sounds like a complete idiot. The Palin pregnancy was reported to the public by the Palins. This guy makes it sound like it was un-covered in a CNN exclusive.
Rick, why was Edward's love baby coverage not fair game and discouraged out of "respect" for Elizabeth and their little children and now the Palin matter is not? Curious?

I had to switch to Fox, to see RNC live, and avoid talking heads
September 2, 2008 - 21:54 ET by JayTeeI tuned in late, and thought everything was over for the night, until I realied the 6 person panel ABC or whoever, had a convention going on in the background...so I turned to Fox so I could see/hear the convention and avoid the talking heads fighting over who could predict the future the best.
Fred did good, Liberman is doing better.
Alphabet networks are doing the predictable...trying to keep from showing anyone at RNC except themselves....sorta control the coverage....Bastidos

September 2, 2008 - 22:23 ET by bigtimerClass Pure Class!
Only mistake they made tonight in the line-up was having Lieberman after Fred...big mistake.
So much good, so many digs, so little time...
I am leaving for the night...but is it was pure class...
I just wished Fred would of talked like he did tonight for his own campaign.
What a barn-burner!
We've got this in the bag..watch the desperation tomorrow morning by the msm...they will all ignore the great speech as much as possible by Thompson.
By the way...I appreciate Joe a lot...they just lined this up wrong in my opinion.
President Bush got a good one or two in also...

GREAT POINT BT!!!
September 3, 2008 - 02:52 ET by TheSterI wish Fred could have given this speech by George S. Patton:
Men, all this stuff you've heard about America not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost, and will never lose a war... because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.
The RNC would have gone nuts...-cut screen to olby/crissy - stunned- speechless - ...cut to black.
BigTimer...i have been reading your "stuff" for months...great observations and insight!!!

I don't know about y'all,
September 2, 2008 - 22:43 ET by ConservativeRexI don't know about y'all, but I think they did George W. wrong at the convention. Just a few lines from an historic presidency. I don't need to remind everyone here of what has taken place in President Bush's tenure. But this man served eight years!
Well, maybe in a few more conventions they'll realize just how much President Bush has meant to this country in the long run. I know one thing, the terrorists are scared spitless of George W. Bush!
I feel the same way
September 3, 2008 - 00:03 ET by obxrayI feel the same way ConRex.This man has done nothing but try to keep us safe and do what gov. is for..keeping us safe which is the #1 mandate of the president.
Thank you President Bush for all you have done.
