A tip for today's starter: ReviveTube. This site lets you watch videos that YouTube has pulled from its public archive because of censorship complaints.
It seems to work by accessing the Flash files directly from YouTube's servers since when it "deletes" a video, really all that YouTube does is just deny access to the page it's on. The files are still cached an accessible, provided you know how to get at them. Luckily, ReviveTube does.

Among the debts reported this month by Hillary Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign, the $292,000 in unpaid health insurance premiums for her campaign staff stands out.
Clinton, who is being pressured to end her campaign against Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination, has made her plan for universal health care a centerpiece of her agenda

Yeah, I know the article says coverage wasn't interrupted, but still, given that health insurance is a newly established "right", it is interesting to see what priority Her Royal Clintoness puts on it, especially when her campaign brought in about $35 million in February.

March 31, 2008 - 11:54 ET by Prester JohnClinton campaign head made $200,000 with subprime lender
WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign manager, Maggie Williams, earned about $200,000 on the board of a Long Island subprime lender that charged prepayment penalties - a practice that Clinton, a critic of the subprime industry, now seeks to eliminate.
Williams, who took over the reins of Clinton's campaign in early February, served as a director on the board of the Woodbury-based Delta Financial Corp. from April 2000 until the firm declared bankruptcy in December, according to Securities and Exchange Commission records.
Her hiring coincided with stepped-up Delta outreach efforts in minority communities, where the company made a large number of its loans, an initiative that included parties for homeless children and mortgage seminars in Brooklyn and Queens.

sarc, the sad fact of the matter is, the USA is nearly bankrupt.
March 31, 2008 - 22:11 ET by R D HelmYet, nobody seems to want to talk about this.
We are currently borrowing money from our enemies simply to stay afloat as a nation. Thirty years back, this country was keeping the former USSR, along with other communist bloc nations alive because we were had the ability to give them massive cash infusions. No more. Now the proverbial shoe is quite literally on the other foot.
As of now, we are "officially" approaching $10 trillion in national debt. I believe the actual figure to be far higher, as you also have to take into account the "unfunded liabilities" (as in we haven't a f'ing clue where the money is going to come from to pay for any of this crap) that are now facing us. Not only that, but the interest payments alone on this debt are nearing confiscatory levels.
Many have been saying for years that the approaching train wreck is going to be Social Security. This is BS. The "train wreck" has already started. Over the last two weeks we have realized several, a'hem, milestones as a nation, and I do not mean to represent these in a positive light.
One was the ill-advised government bailout of Bear Stearns. As the ink was still drying on the documents that authorized the taxpayer funded bailout of said company, this country officially became a socialist nation, IMHO. What is worse, the Bear Stearns bailout won't be the last act of this suicidal lunacy, either.
The second "milestone" was Medicare actually paying out more than it took in for the first time in its history. This is the first of several train wrecks we are facing in this regard.
As I see it, the current mortgage "crisis" has served mainly to peel back the wool curtain and expose a far deeper problem than most Americans are willing to acknowledge.
We're essentially broke as a nation.
This hideous situation is not yet irretrievable, as I believe we still have time to correct it, but we have no more than 24-36 months, if we have any chance at all.
The largest hurdle we face as a nation is that so many among us are far more concerned with American Idol and Dancing With the Stars to be bothered with something as boring as the country going broke.
Personally, I think we are whistling past the graveyard as a nation. It took the Roman Empire 10 centuries to erase itself from the face of the Earth. I fear we are destined to realize a similar fate in a much more compressed timeline-say 10 to 20 years.
God, I hope I am wrong.
Theme for Election '08: I want my mommy!
In my backyard
March 31, 2008 - 13:41 ET by Hero SquadWow, that's about 3 miles from my house. It's a very rural area and there are a lot of staunch property rights activists living there... in the late '90s there was a guy who basically had an unlicensed junkyard on his property and the municipality fought him for years to get it cleaned up. After all legal avenues were exhausted, the municipality brought in the cleaning crew; the guy drew a gun and a standoff ensued, which ended in the guy shooting and killing himself. Man, they came out of the woodwork outraged at the municipality!
Cleanup continued, where they removed garbage, barrells of heaven-knows-what toxic liquids, and other potentially hazardous materials.
But I digress. It's amusing that the man actually ended up spending more for his goods, since the liberty dollars have now increased in value.

Aloha to Aloha
March 31, 2008 - 12:34 ET by Del DolemonteApparently, today is the last day of flying for Hawaii's Aloha Airlines, which has been a fixture in the islands since 1949. They started out with C-47s, graduated to Vickers Viscounts, then flew a unique version of the Fairchild F-27 that had a specially modified thicker bottom hull to make it easier to ditch in the ocean (none ever did). They got their first jets, 2 BAC 1-11s, in 1966, and a couple of years later went to Boeing 737s.
Despite living in the islands in the 1960s I never got to fly them then, but finally did a few years ago. They actually had a first-class section for inter-island flights at that time, but about all the extra money got you was guava juice served in plastic cups instead of paper cups.
Aloha is a casualty of higher fuel costs as well as competition from Go!, which has been charging fares below their actual operating costs. Sad to see them go.

It's about what's happening with the money. Keep your eye on an increase in unaccountable regulatory power for a newly ambitious Federal Reserve -- seemingly as a reward for other regulators doing a bad job with Bear Stearns. But not just Bear, now the welfare trough is open, and the only possible result can be massive inflation. Soon, if not now. It's not a good thing. Obama's racist
March 31, 2008 - 16:27 ET by bigtimerObama's racist grandmother...from others who knew her...I thought this very interesting....and he threw her under the bus...what a guy...on top of that here is another link about what kind of smooth talking liar this guy is getting to be...he is outdoing the Clintoon team for the moment with his double talking excuses, with the msm aiding and abetting, just like they did the the Clintoon team.
The silence is deafening out here msm...I can't hear you regarding any of this.

March 31, 2008 - 17:22 ET by BarkerThanks for the links. Despite all his "flaws", and politics aside, I used to actually like Obama. But after the past couple of weeks, especially him throwing his dear grandmother under the bus, I have come to detest the man.
Barker...what I am finding
March 31, 2008 - 17:51 ET by bigtimerBarker...what I am finding amusing to watch is his condescending attitude towards Hillary and her right to run still....
Precious isn't it.
Rather arrogant actually...if you didn't dislike the Clinton's as much as I do...and I am liking this sheep in wolves clothing less and less too...but then again I feel there is a lot yet to uncover from this guy and his wife...to put it nicely.

Rush getting blamed again
April 1, 2008 - 01:17 ET by bigtimerOh the twist and turns politics take...this is another fine example to attempt to blame Rush if possible...leave it to the left...and The Political...I find it amusing myself.

It's up to local campaigns to turn out voters
April 1, 2008 - 07:45 ET by nkviking75If the local Republicans aren't smart enough to use their own judgement and participate in an important local primary, is that Rush's fault? A national host cannot be expected to keep track of every local race. And despite what "both campaigns believe", we don't have any proof that the party switching really led to the runoff, at least not in this article.
It's up to the campaigns to get their voters out. They should have been pushing turnout harder.

April 1, 2008 - 12:53 ET by bigtimerExactly viking...

His Operation Chaos speech with the background music of When Johnny Comes Marching Home is absolutely priceless!
Then he had this gal caller calling in for duty a minute or so ago...
I am so enjoying this...what a nice change ...laughing at the msm and the dems...heheheheeeeee...
