It's Tuesday and that means another new episode of "NewsBusted" has arrived! Topics in this episode: Dan Rather, taser boy, Columbia University, Ford Motor Company and more. Click the "play" icon in the video frame to the right of this page. You can watch the show on YouTube here.
We're pretty excited about how the show is coming. Thanks to your support, "NewsBusted" is more popular than left-wing humor shows (not to mention funnier) and also one of the most popular regular political vlogs on YouTube. If you like the show, spread the word by telling your friends and favorite bloggers about it. We can always use positive comments and ratings on YouTube as well since liberals love to trash anything that isn't politically correct.
Got a (short) joke of your own you'd like us to use? Send it along with your name and phone number to rightstuffcomedy@yahoo.com. If we use it, we'll pay you $50.

Movin on up!
September 25, 2007 - 09:47 ET by Dee Bunkgreat job. Can you imagine how high it would be if everyone got off their lazy butts and subscribed?
I loved the Ford Dude joke. You guys should do another one on the effects that Ford Dude has on traffic.
I know I'm in the minority, but great job with the laugh track on the Simpson joke. That is exactly what a live audience would have done.
Sorry
September 25, 2007 - 11:04 ET by ChaitealoverJust doesn't make me laugh, or even smile. His delivery is flat and the jokes are stale. I think I'll just skip it in the future.

September 25, 2007 - 16:01 ET by ChaitealoverI had any joke-telling ability, just said he doesn't do it for me. I know others enjoy him, I just don't. Nothing wrong either way. I grew up listening to Mort Sahl, maybe I just need a guy in a sweater with a rolled-up newspaper :o) These days, though, I'd want a conservative one.

It's getting better
September 25, 2007 - 19:35 ET by SportPoliticskeep going, it's developing and I was getting into it this time, and saw a smile or two, and "expressive face" as part of the delivery. The musical front is nice and so are the audience blonde's. I like it.
Artistic delivery should be allowed to continue to expand, perhaps an "offscreen person" who is commented to, or a prop handed in from the side -etc. - fake interaction for expansion- talking to a crowd "heckler" - inviting an unseen on stage...etc., something that can help "break the stage" and draw in the viewer- or catch the eye...
Keep it coming it has a good flavor - I'll try to think of some jokes too and some simple "tricks" as I mentioned above that might turn into a "brand icon" or whatever it is called.
It is definitely coming along I urge the effort to continue and see what developes.

Getting better each time
September 25, 2007 - 19:48 ET by LighthouseJI think the videos are getting better. The first one I saw, 102 I think, was okay but 105 did make me laugh much harder. It's paying off now though.

Awful
September 25, 2007 - 16:06 ET by phaedrus4617NewsBusted needs help. Have him wear a jacket that freakin' fits, lose the tie, and the bad timing around the canned laughter. Or better yet, get some real laughter in reaction to the jokes.
By screwing up the visuals, it makes less of an impact. NewsBusted is part of NewsBusters.org - which is a pretty impactful website. NewsBusted is detracting from that! Do it right!

September 25, 2007 - 16:16 ET by tracheostomyThat's an argument Matt? The decisions on what jokes make or break are purely subjective. Has nothing at all to do with the "joke bounty" that's up for grabs.
IMO, you need a test audience or wider panel of decision makers or something after the jokes have been chosen.

September 25, 2007 - 16:28 ET by tracheostomyOther than asking Mark to talk faster (which improves on the delivery), I would also ask NB to seriously ask themselves if they're doing this project to honestly make people laugh (and think later), or is this just a front to snark at liberals?
One must necessarily take priority over the other, or else you lose the wider audience you hope to gain. What goes for liberal Hollywood goes here too. Give truth in comedy a chance.
