The big story of the week has been "Mullah Mouse," the hate-spewing Palestinian children's character whose show on Hamas television encouraged kids to kill non-Muslims to help establish world Islamic domination.
You would think that CNN would have wanted to get in on some of that news. It's controversial. The visuals are great and it's eminently topical.
The network did finally cover the story (saying the mouse "reaches out" to children as Ken Shepherd reported yesterday) but the day before, Headline News host Glenn Beck was thwarted in his attempts to cover the story, all over some minuscule nit-picking in the translation. CNN's politically correct staff stopped him from making the report over a single word. Beck discussed the problem on his radio show Wednesday. Click the video above to watch his story. May 10, 2007 - 11:07 ET by Chris NormanOn his TV show last night, Beck introduced this issue by addressing media bias. He said that the media wasn't biased, but that individual media people were. I suppose he was being diplomatic, not wanting to bite the hand that feeds him. And, I suppose, technically, it's true, as the media is made up of people, but I thought his statement was a little tepid - the bias has become institutionalized..

May 10, 2007 - 11:16 ET by buddycWow! Beck is great. I can't believe that we have him. Would love to see fox have an evening news and plus O'Reiley in that head spot with Shep Smith and then have Beck replace O'Reiley. The number of great conservative commentators is not being reduced it is increasing and the new ones like Beck are fabulous.
When will they start attacking him and how will they do it? Women? Drugs? Racism? Homophobia? What will it be. I hope he his careful.

May 10, 2007 - 11:24 ET by SouthJersey1953I enjoy listening to Glen Beck (most of the time) but I CANNOT watch him on TV. His wild arm movements and excessive body contortions are too distracting to be able to pay attention to what he is saying...

I agree, Beck is definitely a radio guy. On the tube, he looks, as we call it down here in Atlanta, Ga., as though he has ants in his pants.

May 10, 2007 - 14:01 ET by Chris NormanHe over plays to the camera with all that facial mugging. Sometimes he has a good point that gets lost in all those facial acrobatics and too much silliness (I can't believe that bothers me, but it does). I like him, but I do wish he'd ease up a little - it gets hard to watch.

May 10, 2007 - 13:50 ET by NCConservativeHello everyone. Been reading the site for months and think it's great. This is my first post!
I'm a big fan of Glenn Beck. For the libs, it's got to be too bad that he's already publicly talked about his past addictions and his Mormon faith. They could have had a field day "exposing" either one!

Truly, I am flattered by the NBs continued obsession with me, a person they have never met and a person they know nothing about. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Ann Coulter - what if?
May 10, 2007 - 12:34 ET by Gary HallAnn Coulter - what if?
Let's suppose that Ann Coulter had called the producer of this Mullah Mouse hate (crime) spewing show a "faggot."
What kind of hoops would CNN have to go through to determine just what she meant by the term, "faggot," before they could go to air with it?
Over at MSNBC, one might imagine that Olbiedog's coverage would have only focused on Ann Coulter's remarks ("She's at it again"), with no specific information on the Mullah Mouse show being provided to viewers.

I'd say with Olbermann, it's not the evilness of the act as it is the Bush Administration's reaction to it - he would find the "evil" in the reaction. He's consistent that way...
