CMI’s Gainor, Brown on ‘Daily Show’
On April 8, MRC’s Culture and Media Institute started a debate when it called attention to an e-mail ad from J Crew that featured a mother painting her young son’s toenails pink. The story gained national attention on radio, TV and the web. And now it’s made “The Daily Show.”

On April 13, “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart led the broadcast with the J Crew story, humorously shocked that anyone would take issue with the ad. “Really?” he said. “What I thought was just a just a pleasant, sweet little mother-son bond-vertising, NBC, ABC, CNN and Fox recognized as …” A graphic appeared that read “Toemageddon 2011, This Little Piggy Went to Hell.”
While the segment was funny, Stewart predictably took the liberal position, mocking traditionalist concerns about putting hot pink nail polish on a little boy. He played a clip of MRC Vice President for Business and Culture Dan Gainor on the April 13 “Today” show that included a text quote from CMI’s Erin Brown calling that “blatant propaganda celebrating transgendered children.”

Now You Have Become As Pernicious As Liberal PC Thugs...

I have said it before, and I'll say it again: you apparently have as much a thin skin as liberal PC thugs. If it were up to the liberals, I would have to raise a kid where I wouldn't be allowed to pack him a sack lunch because the school says the students can only east the rabbit food they serve in the cafeteria (which is kind of a larf if you ever went to my high school because they served Dominos and Pizza Hut pizza, hardly what I would call a healthy choice.) But if it were up to the conservatives, they would tell me "No No No No No! You can't paint your boy's toenails pink because that might offend people who don't like homosexuals!" Why not just say "It'll offend people who are allergic to the color pink?" At least that might be more believable.
In the attempt of fighting against real political correctness, you have now, yourselves, become the very P.C. thuggery you are trying to fight against.
