David Letterman Jokes About Gingrich Abusing Wife, Mocks Gov. Christie's Weight

By Matt Hadro | January 18, 2012 | 22:30

A  A

CBS comedian David Letterman teed off on the Republican presidential field on Monday night while barely batting an eye toward President Obama or the Democrats. The Late Show host joked at the expense of Newt Gingrich's first marriage and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's weight, while comparing former First Lady Pat Nixon to a reptile from Star Trek.

In addition, the CBS comedian dismissed the entire GOP presidential field as he insinuated that none in the group of rich boring white guys would beat President Obama in the general election. [Video below the break.]

"The big rap that's got everybody talking about Mitt Romney is that when he travels, he straps his dog to the roof of the car," Letterman began. "Did you know about that? And now, Newt Gingrich is on the attack, and he's saying well I used to do that with my first wife."

The Late Show also speculated how an interview between Oprah Winfrey and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie went -- "15 minutes of hard-hitting questions. 45 minutes of the governor trying to get out of the chair." How original of Letterman to mock Chris Christie's weight!

And Letterman used the departure of Jon Huntsman from the race to sling more mud at the GOP field, rattling off his "Top 10 things people said when they heard Jon Huntsman was dropping out of the race." Number nine was "Is he the rich, boring white guy, or the other rich, boring white guy?"

Number one was "Now who's going to lose to Obama in the general election?"

Oh, THAT David Letterman, the pompous, cheating, lying, balding miserable excuse as a comedian on late night tv that thinks he is still funny and relevent.

Yes, and it's the same Letterman who finally had to admit that he was having sex romps with women who worked for him. Seems he had a secret little room in his studio to which he lured these young women who worked for him for special attention. Dude seems to have a difficult time keeping his pants on.

I think Ash, an NB poster, summed up Newt best a few months back. To paraphrase: Newt isn't above advocating government solutions to problems that government made worse in the first place.

A gist.

Submitted by killa37 on Wed, 01/18/2012 - 11:02pm.

Doesn't Letterman get paid by GE, in some fashion??? Maybe they'll 'outsource' him to China, along with a lot of their other jobs..........I"m sure he'll be just as funny over there as he is here, except that nobody will care who he is. Wait - I think he's getting close to that over here anyway!!!

I read that GE is shutting down a big plant in Wisconson (?) and relocating in China with the factory and the jobs and the training.......and I think they've allready done that with some other things too. Isn't GE run by the guy who is supposed to be Boy Barry's 'economic expert'????

Call me ignorant, but I don't get it!!!

Letterman is the poster child for BUTT-UGLY, both inside and out. If a Marxist-pig talks trash about a Republican it is a "joke," but let a conservative say something about a Marxist Demwit and it is "mean-spirited, nasty, racist, homophobic, etc." and will likely result in somebody getting shot.

Tax the Marxists into extinction ... it's only fair!

Pinetree but no, rich boring white liberals like letterman would never want that kind of struggle, they just pretend to "be down" because they agree politically. Again, is there anyone more full of crap than a rich communist?

And the blatant, out in the open, in your face racism against whites by liberals is non-stop. Think letterman would ever say "boring black men" or "boring brown men?" The avalanche of outrage from blacks and latinos would bury him. He would be out of a job so fast his head would spin. And his mush for brains mostly white audience eats his crap up.

Yeah gee - I wonder how Letterman's wives feel about what a faithful, upstanding gentleman ol' Davey-poo has been? Yeah, ol' Davie-boy is well known for how respectful he is of women. Why, he respects them so much he keeps several of them dangling on a string at the same time...

If a Liberal/Democrat politician/media figure wants to put their arms around you, or pat you on the back, all they're doing is looking for a good place to stick a knife.

I left that demonic type of viewing, along with any HBO programming so long ago that I cannot recall the date. Spouting crap as a "comedian" by knifing your political foes is not permitted with my support . Wit is better used for some useful purpose. Any fool given enough air time and a host of writers could replace most of Letterman, Colbert, Maher types. Crude, spiteful speech ain't anything but excrement. I would be physically ill if I had to view filth like the mentioned.

Oh, having half dozen divorces and an"open marraige" is cool for Republicans that posture as conservatives for the boobs who choose to ignore this man's record but facts are sticky critters - the refuse to go away.

Look Newton Leroy has had his romp on the coach with Nancy Pelosi with that "global warming" cap and trade crap. Leroy has impressed Slick willy by how well he can twist Republican arms to vote for alien treaties like NAFTA and GATT.
He has Scuzzfava's the conservatives up in New York and betrayed them over in over by siding with the skuzzy liberal pro-abortion candidate.

His friends are marxists like Alvin and Heidi Toffler who wrote futuristic books visualizing the "death" of the Constitution. But if that didn't shake your admiration for Leroy..... Here's Ann Coulter's take on that Newt / Toffler association> http://dailycaller.com/2011/12/07/the-newt-history-you-ought-to-know/

Okay, if that hasn't turned your stomach, maybe, just maybe, Leroy's wife {numero dos} can get your stomach churning.

The Esquire Magazine interview. Google if your shaky hands can handle it.we'll start out easy with the WPO piece:

BIG LIB! Yeah, I know hes from Indiana, but that dude hasnt lived there since they grew corn as high as an elephants eye! Hes totally immersed himself in that Follyweird/NYC "entertainment" group, and stocks his audience with enough lackeys to make Bill Maher blush! Plus, he aint funny anymore.

Never my cup of tea, I would acknowledge his uniqueness, "hip" talk, etc, but now,,and for a long time, hes a has-been! Should have been whacked years ago, and esp after "SarahGate!"
