ABC Mocks Gingrich: 'Accidentally' Splices Shot Of Newt Into Story On Study Of Attractive People
What better way for ABC to kick off its weekend news coverage than by mocking the physical appearance of a Republican presidential candidate? That's apparently what someone at Good Morning America was thinking today.
As co-host Dan Harris opened the show by teasing an upcoming story about a study suggesting that allowing one's spouse to gawk at others they find attractive is good for the relationship, footage of . . . Newt Gingrich suddenly appeared on screen.
Harris made as if it were a mistake: "and no, not Newt Gingrich."
View video after the jump.
DAN HARRIS: All right: husbands, go get your wives. There's an important story you're going to want to see this morning. There's a new study out that says--get this--you should not only allow your spouse but encourage them to gawk at other people [footage of Newt suddenly appears on screen]--and no, not Newt Gingrich. People they find attractive. There is some serious science behind this story and we're going to tell you exactly how it might be better for your relationship.
See below the shot of Newt GMA displayed, and a screengrab of weekend co-hosts Bianna Golodryga and Dan Harris having a good laugh at Newt's expense.

It is the Palinization of the "news."

and it is pathetic. Really, much of these shows is either
1) Shameless self promotion of their channel's reality shows, presented as a "story"
2) A forum for needlessly! attacking GOP candidates on state or national politics (ie compare the union law coverage in WI v Mass;the Palin coverage spoke for itself)
Fortunately, as proven on 11/2/10, most of America tunes out this drivel...................

I think Newsbusters is on to a new strategy - taking small swipes at every Republican candidate at every opportunity. And the GMA one has "plausible deniability" - "oh, just a technical error."
ABC - Arrrghh!

It's amazing what passes for "news" these days on ABC. Just last night Jake Tapper trotted out a tweet from noted political and economic expert Justin Bieber to help defend Obama against a "snarky" blogger.
Why are "Tweets", or even just website posts not just from celebrities, but from anonymous website posters showing up more and more in the mainstream media these days? Do they even verify the identity of some of these people? How many are convicted criminals posting from prison?

The hacks at ABC can keep wasting their time but it won't make any difference. They are conditioned to say what Soros demands. They care nothing about truth, morals or the American citizens.

I never watch the morning shows because they have always targeted the easily entertained, poorly informed and those who need to fill a void in their lives by watching news about the lives of celebrities.

...of Newt Gingrich. This man provided the leadership and methodology of performing a minor miracle in balancing the budget. For his reward, they ran him out of town and tried to take credit for his accomplishments. They wrote the book on character assassination and are powering up their latest brand of pathetic "misinfotainment".
