Even Good Episode for ‘GCB’ Has 20 Attacks on Christianity
“GCB” managed to dial down its cheap dialogue in March 25’s episode, but only barely. A “good” day for the “Good Christian” show still fired up to 20 shots on Christians along with attacks on Texans, and all of them were laden with malice and contempt.
The entire show lives up to its newest episode’s name, “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing,” and per usual there is a lot of sex and Bible-bashing in the fold.
“A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” was all too happy to leap over moral standards, and include a sarcastic comment aimed at Texans, when they included a teen masturbation scene. His mother Carlene then lamented about how she caught her son “greasing his gun.”
The episode ended on an especially vicious note while the character Amanda and her mother called down the wrath of God on a fellow character’s wife. While they are spitefully reciting Scripture and observing how “there is a special place for women like that” the woman can be seen choking to death in the background.

More Fecal Matter From ABC
Submitted by Motormouth KOS on Mon, 03/26/2012 - 4:40pm.
Dear ABC,
As if it wasn't enough to put us all through the lies and phony ramblings of George Staphyllocockus.
Now we have to endure this tripe on our TV screens?
Just a few questions...
1. What is it that you hate so much about Christians?
2. Are we annoying you because we are pro-life?
3. Is that an assault on your "hip, liberal" senses?
4.Are you sad that you couldn't get the word "Bitches" into the title of this show?
5. Have you called Bildo Maher and sought any guidance on how to be really vile?
The Obamination... A crisis leading to a catastrophe..(please donate to MRC)
What do you expect?

The so called liberals aren't content with brainwashing people from kindergarten until they graduate college,( which is also part of the reason why Americans get dumber by the day, we hear tapes of geography and math teachers yelling about how much GW BUSH LIED, or Christians are evil etc) but I digress, the leftist in pop culture have to attack traditional American values at every turn. Never ready to honestly debate an issue, the LIBPROGS would rather discredit and call names so that the person on the opposite of the debate is too busy defending themselves to actually discuss an issue openly. And this with a lib in the whitehouse. Just wait til a Republican gets elected POTUS again, the. You'll see some real cultural attacks. It's only going to get worse

I don't think Newsbusters needs to watch this trash anymore since it's been proven multiple times that it is trash. The writers must have some vendetta against Christians.
Attacks on Christianity
Submitted by Dominick on Mon, 03/26/2012 - 8:40pm.
Jesus said for Christians not to be afraid of tribulations and persecutions because He has overcome the world through the sacrifice of His life for everyone and all sin, and His miraculous rising from the dead which we celebrate at this Easter time. He didn't say, however, that Christians have to be doormats and put up with blasphemy and ridiculous representations of those who love Christ and are devoted to His Church. Outside of boycotts of advertisers and the show itself, we can certainly write to ABC and let the executives know that their taste in programming is pitiful, pathetic and panders to those who hate.
Those who enjoy such a show are falling into the trap of thinking they are hip when in fact they are further coarsening our culture and allowing misinformation and misrepresentation to rule the day. The series writers must have a grand old time snickering at what they see as the hypocrisy of Christians. Well, news bulletin: what person has not been a hypocrite at some point in his life? It is a sin like any other--to be repented of and moved away from.
Christians, if necessary, can match their faith against all the others for the incredible amount of good works that have been performed in the name of Christ from Day 1 to the present. We are not ashamed of our faith. Take heart, fellow believers! If someone in a position of media power speaks against you and your beliefs, examine your lives, change that which is not pleasing to God, and live according to Christ's teachings. God bless you!
It's a comedic drama, not a serious look at Christianity

We must not have been watching the same show.
During the two minute scene with Amanda and Gigi discussing parallel situations each has with a different married couple, there is not one line of scripture quoted. The two women were not being spiteful, but were both trying to help people they cared about.
As "Bitsy Lourd" -- behind the women and in the far background of the scene -- is choking on a beef rib:
Gigi: Sometimes the best thing you can do is say a prayer and step away
Amanda: Damn, that Bitsy Lourd is evil
Gigi: There's a special place for a woman like that.
Bitsy collapses to the floor behind the table, unseen by anyone.
The setup to the scene with Carlene and her son is too complicated to explain, but when she accidentally catches him "mastering his domain", she interprets it as her punishment for "borrowing" Amanda's computer, and tells her husband that she returned the computer "unhacked", because committing the sin of stealing the computer is wrong, even if it the information on it could help them get back the money Amanda's dead husband stole from them in a Ponzi scheme.
The show is a broadly played comedic soap opera. Only the most hyper-sensitive Christian would see it as an attack on Christianity or Christians.
I'm a Christian, and I don't have a problem with it, as I recognize it as parody.

Islam, or anything near and dear to the liberal heart, I'll consider the show is "in good fun".
The point is to mock Christianity. You really can't portray as anything other than what it is.

I don't like being referred to as a "b***h". Nor do I like The Lady of Lourdes being referred to as Bitsy.

Lourd is not a common name in US, but not unknown

The name was Lourd, not Lourdes.
The show is not calling you a b***h, just some of the characters in the show.
Just as "Desperate Housewives" does not refer to all housewives.
Good Muslim B's wouldn't be funny

Even if ABC had the guts to put on a comedic show about Muslim women, most would not find it funny because they wouldn't be able to relate to the humor.
I consider this show reasonably amusing because the people in this show are exaggerations of people I have seen throughout my life.
You know, as much as I hated the Christian bashing on this show.

Watching it barely 2 eps I realized that its just not a good show at ALL! It stinks, on ICE!

I can most assuredly say that, as a Texan, I'm not offended by anything they do on that show. It's just a bunch of liberal writers making fun of people that they don't understand, and whose values they despise. They most certainly think that Texas is all desert and tumbleweeds populated by toothless hicks. I'll bet few of them, if any, have ever spent even one night in an expensive Dallas hotel, let alone in the Super 8 in Kileen. None of them has ever had a glass of ice tea on someone's porch in Lampasas. Or had gumbo at a beach party in Galveston. Or ate the best Mexican food in the world on the San Antiono river. Or had REAL BBQ in Lockhart. Or drove through one of the nation's largest national forests in early May. So, let them have their fun. It's THEIR ignorance and bigotry on display, not ours.
