Atheist ‘Slave’ Billboard Attacks the Good Book
Is it Christmas again? It sure feels like it, with aggressive atheists popping up to take gratuitous shots at believing Christians.
Ernest Perce V, the Pennsylvania director of American Atheists, is demanding state lawmakers rescind a decision to celebrate 2012 as the “Year of the Bible,” according to FoxNation. The Bible, he says, is “barbaric.”
You might remember Perce V from a recent story that was right out of the “Can’t they both lose?” file. Last Halloween, he participated in a Pennsylvania parade dressed as a zombie Prophet Muhammad, and was physically attacked by a Muslim man. Last month, a Pennsylvania judge dismissed the case against the Muslim.
Now, in a vicious assault on Christianity, the American Atheists have erected a billboard in Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, Pa., that blatantly defiles the Bible and Christian beliefs. The billboard depicts a black slave, neck encircled by a medieval slave collar, and grossly takes the scripture Colossians 3:22 “Slaves, obey your masters” out of context.
The billboard has already earned backlash from African-Americans and Pennsylvania citizens, and was vandalized and removed. Other black critics included Rep. Thaddeus Kirkland, D-Del.
The anti-religion organization has raised similar billboards in the past, and are now foisting their godless rhetoric on Muslim and Jewish communities with the message, “You know it’s a myth … and you have a choice.”
This billboard is only one of many efforts by the left to drown out Christian voices. Who knows, if Ernest Perce gets his way, our freedom of speech might be next on his hit list.

Typical deluded antitheist bigotry

Antitheism is irrational willful blind bigotry only held by the self-deluded incapable of comprehending reality, e.g. the obamanation baby butcher (obamanation.com; www.blackgenocide.org).
Sadly the only reason these fools get away with their trash is today's gross historical and especially Biblical illiteracy EVERYWHERE, even among professing so-called "christians." If the Founders could see the cesspool of ignorant bigotry of their descendants that is the vast majority today they'd likely wonder why they'd ever bothered to build a new nation only to have it degenerate like this.
It's really distressing how

It's really distressing how so many atheists seem to think their beliefs (or lack thereof) means they MUST go out there and harass anyone who believes in a higher power, instead of just following "live and let live".
Good point Lin!

Along with the eyeball (which could never ever evolve), atheists are a bunch of selfish "god" babies whose actions help prove God IS:
Atheist = There is no god! And I hate HIM!
It is written on their hearts. They reject that and fight back like an angry teen against the power of his very own parents. Exactly the same. The emptiness in their hearts and lives IS this separation from God their creator. We are made to be in union with him.
-- Maximusbraveheart -- Is TRUTH knowable? Moral Relativism is the abandonment of Truth. Truth is knowable. Truth conforms to Reality. Reality is observable by evidence & witness in this day & from history. Relativism is Sesame Street play land.
Awesome line!

Proclamation 5018 -- Year of the Bible, 1983 February 3, 1983
By the President of the United States of America
A Proclamation Of the many influences that have shaped the United States of America into a distinctive Nation and people, none may be said to be more fundamental and enduring than the Bible.
Running a bit late for it to happen this year....as if!
You Didn't Build That.
Anybody ever see an "ATHEISTS SUCK!" billboard?

I expect atheists to use the Bible in ways no Christian ever would - we see that all the time, they don't understand it as well, and that kind of makes sense since they don't think it's the word of God. If they want to waste their money on bad exegesis, they can feel free to do so - *unless* those efforts eventually translate into restricting freedom of religion. Then we have a problem.
Ernest demonstrates the real meaning of "atheist."

The narrow definition of the word is "without God," but the set-your-clock-by-it antipathy that vocal atheists have for the things of God (the zombie-Mohammed business was just base-covering gone horribly wrong) demonstrates just how central God is to them. He may be serving as a repository for all their anger and hostility, but He's big enough to take it.
