NBC Reporter: GOP Race 'Gotten So Nasty'; Obama 'Pokes Fun' at Romney Being Uncaring Dog Owner
At the top of his Tuesday report for NBC's Today, correspondent Peter Alexander warned viewers about the state of the Republican primary race in Florida: "This campaign has just gotten so nasty lately. By some accounts, more than 90% of the ads that have run in this state have been negative."
Remarkably, later in the same segment, Alexander was happily promoting a nasty line of attack by the Obama campaign against Mitt Romney: "...the president's re-election team is now weighing in on the issue of how Romney treated his former pet....when he put the family dog, Seamus, on the roof of his car."
He further announced: "Monday night, David Axelrod, the president's senior campaign strategist, tweeted this photo of the president with his dog Bo inside the car. Axelrod's caption: 'How loving owners transport their dogs.'" Alexander didn't seem concerned with how negative and juvenile the attack was.
In fact, the headline on screen played off the obnoxious line from Axelrod this way: "To The Dogs; Obama Campaign Photo Pokes Fun at Romney."
"Pokes Fun"? In the general election, look for the liberal media to decry the "nasty" GOP while smirking as Obama launches vicious attacks.
Here is a portion of Alexander's January 31 report:
7:03AM ET
(...)
ALEXANDER: And in a campaign that many think went the to the dogs long ago, the president's re-election team is now weighing in on the issue of how Romney treated his former pet. A recent Gingrich web ad had hounded Romney for a road trip years ago, when he put the family dog, Seamus, on the roof of his car.
[ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: To The Dogs; Obama Campaign Photo Pokes Fun at Romney]
ROMNEY: This is a completely airtight kennel mounted on the top of our car. He climbed up there regularly, enjoyed himself.
ALEXANDER: Monday night, David Axelrod, the president's senior campaign strategist, tweeted this photo of the president with his dog Bo inside the car. Axelrod's caption: "How loving owners transport their dogs."

How dare Mitt not hire a separate jet?

After all, aren't all dogs entitled to their equivalent of Air Force 3? Or, is just the Bogus Potus who's entitled to use taxpayer dollars for flying his dog around?

Dog experts and vets recommend transporting dogs in kennels, not loose in a car where they are a driver distraction and may be seriously hurt if the car stops suddenly. Change that to 'how stupid, ignorant crackers transport dogs'.
Haha!

Yes, that is true... though most of the experts would probably suggest leaving that kennel in the car...
What size?

What is the size of the dog and the kennel?
If I tried to transport my dogs in their kennels (which I do when I am taking all three of them somewhere) I have to use the cargo area of my SUV. I could never fit their kennels in my car unless I was alone in it. (I have beagles and do not want them to be cramped in a small kennel.)
I also put my dogs in their kennels at night. This is for safety, because if there was a fire, earthquake or other emergency, I want to know where they are so I can get them out safely. The dogs never seem to mind. In fact, the command "Kennel UP!" sends them each to their kennels at night, where I close the doors and give them a last treat for the day.

picture has been 'shopped. First look at his attire: no jacket, sleeves rolled up. Then look at the scenery. Snow. (A slightly larger pic can be found here.) There's also no snow or streaks on the window of the limo. Someone shopped in the scenery.
Well, with my connections in the photog world I was able to find the original, unshopped photo. This was taken as he arrived at the Cambridge, Maryland rally the other day. As I'm sure everyone is aware, it's unusually warm here in the mid-Atlantic region -as it is for just about the rest of the US- due to CO2 in the atmosphere and our insatiable need for gasoline fired cars rather than battery-powered cars on fire. But that's another discussion. Anyway, here's the real image with his rally supporters clearly visible. In fact, this is why he was showing the mutt; Bo has reportedly said he didn't believe this was the makeup of the typical Obama rally crowd and Barry was just proving his point. Pretty sneaky on the part of the Obama campaign trying to keep this out of the media.
HEY if you find the original pic send it

Seriously folks, the things liberal so called reporters on TV makes me wonder sometimes how in the world do these people manage to get a job, because when they open their mouths what comes out is really "dog poop".
I doubt that Obama spends much time with "Bo", since he has handlers and helpers at the mansion that take care of the little things like picking up the poop. Furthermore, not everyone who owns a dog has the luxury of taking their dog in a limo or a private plane. Unless, these liberals hacks interview Mitt's dog an he/she complains about traveling inside the kennel on the roof of his car, this story is as stupid as the people that report it.

I am so busted. You see, I'm actually a dog, leading a local pack, intent on freeing Bo to come hunting with us and our cracker owners next fall. We saw Ole Bo, in that limo photo; he's being held hostage and we gotta help him.

historically we haven't even left a 'G' rating yet.
Adams vs Jefferson
Tilden vs Hayes (Florida's first foray into voting dubiousness: “In Florida, it was impossible to determine who would have won a fair election. Repeaters, stuffed ballot boxes, and Democratic ballots printed with the Republican symbol to trick illiterate voters had all been used. In addition, returns from remote areas had been delayed, to be altered as needed,” - Hoogeboom (Hayes biographer)
JQ Adams vs Jackson (with Jackson you only have to imagine some of the things that were said)
Lincoln vs Brickenridge vs Douglas
While it may be noted that the candidates didn't always get involved in the mud slinging - the various forms of C-PACs have always been there and had their effect.

A veterinarian I know real well said he's ok with Mitt and his dog. An airtight kennel on the top is fine, and most dogs would be real good about travelling that way. To see it otherwise assumes a dog thinks the same as a human, which is far from the truth. Of course, lots of pet owners think just that - that an animal is just a human in a pet costume.
Airtight?
Submitted by Model850 on Tue, 01/31/2012 - 5:12pm.
It might do well to more fully describe just exactly what is meant by "airtight kennel."
Wouldn't a dog suffocate in a truly airtight enclosure?
Mitt also used that term but alert listeners might recoil in horror at the thought of transporting a dog in a portable coffin. ; - D
