Although ABC’s Designated Survivor last invoked President Ronald Reagan in defense of illegal detentions, in this week's episode, "The Mission," he is associated with victory and success.

The “Big Three” networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) found yet another topic to distract themselves from talking about issues damaging to Democrats Wednesday evening. “Trump's message today, overshadowed by the man in the front row,” explained ABC’s Tom Llamas on World News Tonight, “Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, fresh off his explosive interview with Megyn Kelly.” According to the nets the argument was more important than corruption, leaked e-mails, or videos showing admission to federal crimes.

Joe Biden appeared on MSNBC's Hardball on Tuesday, and claimed that "You never heard me criticize the tea party." Millions of people with decent memories and the ability to hear know that this is not true. Those with longer memories know that Biden's strident criticisms of the Tea Party movement, its members and its political candidates and officeholders go back over six years.

Center-right outlets are having a field day with Biden's bogus claim, as they should be. Meanwhile, the establishment press is predictably virtually ignoring what Biden said. One person who has mostly escaped criticism thus far is Chris Matthews, Hardball's host. Matthews didn't challenge Biden's obviously untrue statement, even though he discussed the Vice President's fiery rhetoric five years ago when he made a speech at a union picnic in Cincinnati. At the time and in the context of other events that day, Matthews and his guest clearly believed that Biden was targeting the Tea Party.

Left-wing Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo, known for his role as the Hulk in the smash hit Avengers movies, is slamming President Obama on his outright hypocrisy for presenting himself as a “green” president while permitting fracking and other fossil fuel extraction that goes against the environmentalist ethos.

Ruffalo recently spoke at a Los Angeles rally against the Dakota Access Pipeline and man-made climate change which has seen an increase in protests the last few weeks. He told the crowd: "President Obama, it is immoral for you to keep drilling in our state lands, in our federal lands, off our federal waters, while at the same time calling yourself a climate change leader."

CBS Evening News rounded out their broadcast Wednesday by highlighting a ultra-leftist Unitarian Universalist church’s efforts to weed out racism. “We end tonight with a new treatment for a disease that has afflicted this country since its birth,” touted CBS Anchor Scott Pelley, “John Blackstone now on curing racism. One step at a time.” That’s right, a racism twelve-step program that’s seriously called “Racists Anonymous.”

For the second day in a row, the CBS Evening News committed a disservice to their viewers in covering competitive U.S. Senate races by censoring massive pasts of Democratic challengers with Wednesday featuring the newscast omitting any mention of former Senator-turned-candidate Evan Bayh having a lucrative lobbying career since he left the Senate in 2011.

A confidant of Hillary Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta explained in an e-mail how to get the New York Times to change how the daily newspaper covered the secretary of state, according to e-mails made public by WikiLeaks from the chairman's hacked Gmail account.

Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden told Podesta how former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg met with Arthur Sulzberger, publisher of the Times, to get the paper to stop treating him like a billionaire dilettante instead of a third-term mayor.

According to Brent Bozell, the media’s double standard on how they treat Donald Trump vs. the fawning over Hillary Clinton is “stunning.” The Media Research Center president appeared on Fox News and the Fox Business Channel, Wednesday, and marveled at the bias: “In 30 years of tabulating this empirically, we've never seen anything like it.” Bozell cited a new MRC study finding that 91 percent of Trump’s coverage since the conventions has been hostile. The media watchdog president declared to Neil Cavuto: “It doesn't matter where you fall in this campaign or ideology. You simply cannot have this kind of double standard and call it fair, balanced, objective journalism.”

On Wednesday’s Morning Joe, co-host Joe Scarborough once again was forced to actually tell the truth about the liberal bias in media coverage throughout this entire election. Scarborough, a former Florida Republican congressman, began the discussion stating that: “[A]s a Republican there's a natural reaction to press bias and it has been so overwhelming even if it is has been earned. The media has taken sides. They've aggressively taken sides and they’ve admitted that we're aggressively taking sides...”

One of the many news outlets to cite the now-viral study by my colleague Rich Noyes about the massive slant in anti-Donald Trump network coverage was Wednesday’s Outnumbered on the Fox News Channel (FNC) and the assembled panel used it as a launching point to excoriate the double standard in propelling Trump to the nomination but now turning on him.

The Clinton campaign is making much of the endorsement the Democratic presidential candidate has received from Mexican music legend, Vicente Fernández. Both Telemundo and Univision have obliged by giving the singer’s role in the campaign glowing coverage while preventing Latino supporters (including entertainers) of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to get even a word - or musical note - in edgewise about the development.

On Wednesday, Time writer Philip Elliott tweeted “Millennials realize Hillary Clinton is a "badass," seem to have broken the Bernie Fever”. The Time article, by Sam Frizell, was headlined “Millennials Finally Find Something to Love in Harder-Edged Hillary Clinton.” Yes, “Finally.” In case you didn’t know Time was impatiently waiting for them to come around.

Despite carrying the Denver Broncos to the playoffs in 2011, subsequently being cut from 3 NFL teams, and receiving constant media hostility, Tim Tebow’s faith was not shaken. On October 25 Tebow, who now plays outfield for the New York Mets in an instructional league, released his new book titled, Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms. According to the description on Amazon, Shaken discusses “glimpses of [Tebow’s] journey staying grounded in the face of disappointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny.” Tebow probably has a lot to say about media criticism, considering the leftist sports media has either ignored or belittled his achievements.
