Nets Ignore Latest Solyndra News: Obama Administration Requested Postponing Layoffs Until After 2010 Midterm Election

The Washington Post, no conservative paper it, gave front-page coverage today to the latest development in the Solyndra scandal: E-mail records show that the Obama White House urged the solar energy company to postpone layoffs until after the 2010 midterm elections.

"The announcement could have been politically damaging because President Obama and others in the administration had held up Solyndra as a poster child of its clean-energy initiative," Post staffers Carol Leonnig and Joe Stephens noted in the November 16 paper. Sure enough Solyndra publicly announced a round of layoffs on November 3, "immediately following the Nov. 2 vote."

While this development broke yesterday afternoon, ABC, CBS, and NBC have ignored the development in their November 15 evening newscasts as well as their November 16 morning programs.

Both MSNBC's Morning Joe and Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends noted the development this morning, but both have significantly fewer viewers than Good Morning America, The Early Show, or Today.

The picture that accompanies this story is wrong. It shows Obama with his head in the sand. It should show him with his head up his rectal orifice since thats where it generally resides!

Diane Rehm Show

A promotion for this show said they will talk about Solyndra tomorrow. I wonder if we will hear about this new development. I'm doubtin' it.

MSNBC mentioned it and that was it, they mentioned it again and it was a Cain bashfest in a matter of seconds.

They are covered.

There's s slow fuse burning on the Solyndra scandal . . .

. . . and both Democrats and the MSM are deliberately ignoring it. Their biggest fear is losing the WH, because a new Attorney General will have a field day with it.

Media Malpractice

Submitted by giatn on Thu, 11/17/2011 - 1:45am.

I don't think I have ever noticed the extreme degree of propaganda and news
manipulation that has accompanied Obama's rise to the WH. This is no longer
just a case of bias, it is calculated, intentional distortion and deception. Were it
not for the internet videos, photos, interviews and reports, I might actually believe
that OWS was an "organic, focused, peaceful" protest against income inequality.
Even now that it would be impossible for the MSM not to be aware of the violence
and subversive groups operating through OWS, they glorify the movement to fit
their opinions of what they want OWS to be about. Admitting the truth would
impair their narrative of a spontaneous example of class warfare. I realize that
left leaning and right leaning stations would emphasize different stories, but
the length of time that the MSM has ignored developments with Solyndra, Fast
and Furious, Light Squared, Tesla Motors, Siga Pharma and OWS is unprecedented
and abusive. I am still in a state of disbelief after reading about "Obama's
Scandal-free Administration" a couple of weeks ago. That reporter should have
his press credentials rescinded. The public deserves the truth.
