WaPo Poll: 62% of Virginians Approve of GOP Governor; Paper Shuffles Story to Metro Section
By Ken Shepherd | May 10, 2011 | 17:29
A new Washington Post poll of Virginians finds that Old Dominion voters are optimistic about the direction of the state, approve of the job of their conservative governor, and are divided on the question of same-sex marriage.
Guess how the Post handled reporting the results.
That's right, the paper hyped the same-sex marriage numbers on A1 but shuffled the good news for McDonnell over to page B1, even though an astonishing 50 percent of Old Dominion Democrats approve of his job in office, and arguably by extension his conservative policies.
Perhaps that's not too surprising given the paper's track record of bashing McDonnell during the 2009 gubernatorial campaign over his master's thesis and the paper's ongoing efforts to lambaste the governor for not supporting tax increases to pay for transportation projects.

I have long refused to support this rag with my purchase and have actively worked to persuade others not to waste their hard earned resources on a paper that doesn't report news but expresses anti-American rants against traditional values. Not even a worthy fish-wrap!!!
The poll on Warner

Roanoke TV news tonight reported that Mark Warner has a 61% approval rating. Either they asked different people than they did with McDonnell, or they think John Warner is still in office. That IS how Mark got elected. He banked on people thinking he was the incumbent Warner.
Mark Warner left us a "surprise" deficit that Tim Kaine couldn't blame on anyone, because it was Dem vs Dem.

I live in Virginia, and I have to say I'm quite proud of the Governor and Attorney General. They are normal folks that follow the law. Although this isn't the first time I've been proud of who we elected, it is the most important time to have the right people in the right place at the right time.
I would just love.....

to see the specifics on that poll. I wonder if they polled 90% Democrats to get their result. It's really getting to the point where I trust no polls from the LSM.
