MSNBC Follies: Chris Matthews Walks Off Set, Salutes Colleague Chris Jansing

"Let Me Finish" is the title for Chris Matthews's commentary segment that caps off each episode of "Hardball."

But it would have been an appropriate graphic earlier today when the "Hardball" host wouldn't shut up as colleague Chris Jansing tried to wrap up a segment on her "Jansing & Co." program that previewed the Matthews-hosted "Obama's America" special edition of "Hardball" that airs tonight at 5 and 7 p.m. EST.

No novice to cable television, Matthews knows when an anchor is trying to wrap up a segment before commercial break.

"You're like one of the presenters [at the Golden Globes] last night. You're getting rushed here. You're told to wrap," Matthews observed.

Jansing then joked that she was expecting someone to pull her off set with a hook. That's when Matthews sought to chat some about about the Golden Globes.

"Talk about uncivil behavior," Matthews griped about Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais before he got up to leave the set. Moments later as the camera panned out to a wide shot, Matthews could be seen in the background saluting Jansing, who returned his salute.

Retire now, Chris Matthews.

Submitted by Red Jeep on Mon, 01/17/2011 - 3:51pm.

Walk away now...while you still have some dignity left. Maybe seek some professional mental health advice.

Besides Comcast is coming and with your ratings low and your salary sky high, it is doubtful you will be retained. Go now.

Childish and unprofessional...

Submitted by PrairieSky on Mon, 01/17/2011 - 5:24pm.

What fun this guy must be to work with, huh? MSNBC has way more than it's share of this type...Between Matthews, Olbermann, Ratigan, Madcow, O'Donnell (Lawrence), Uygur and Brewer, they are just awash in arrogant, often unhinged, liberal pontificating over there...What a circus.

Don't forget meltdown master Ed "torch this f*cking place" Schultz who threatened to burn down 30 Rock if he didn't get his way.  Nice bunch.

Chris Jansing is every bit as

Submitted by TE on Mon, 01/17/2011 - 7:35pm.

Chris Jansing is every bit as much a pea-brained, uber, ultra, hard and far left, virulent, militant, fundamentalist leftist political activist and freakshow freak as are Tingles Matthews, Contessa Brewer, TaMoron Hall, Andrea Mitchell, Keith Olbermoronn, Nora O'Donnell, Kelly O'Donnell, Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, Rachel Madcow, the entire "Morning Joe" crew and every other person at A-Mess-NBC.

As noted by bkeyser, Jansing returned a freakin' left handed "salute" to the one offered by that anti-military, feminized, leftist fairy named Tingles Matthews.

LITTLE CHRISSY MATTHEWS

Submitted by Herbster on Tue, 01/18/2011 - 1:38pm.

A legend in his own mind.  He's either a substance abuser, or psychotic.  Maybe both.  I have a feeling that Chrissy M., Mrs. Greenspan, Contessa (I'm not gay) Brewer, Tampon Hall, Nora the numb, Rachel, Olby, Sgt. (I know nothing) Schultz, The whole crew at the "Morning joke" show, etc., will be slowly swept out the door when the adults from Comcast take over.  Watch the footrace to get jobs at NPR, Mother Jones, the Nation, the Daily Kos, etc.  What a group of trolls!

Not to worry.....they'll all join the "Roundtable" at Meet The Press.....whoops, maybe David (Down the tubes with ratings) Gregory might also feel the broom!
