MSNBC Sets Delay for 'Morning Joe' in Light of Profanity

In response to an accidental dropping of the F-bomb by "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough yesterday, MSNBC opted to put the program on a delay, reports TVNewser's Chris Ariens in a November 11 post:

Insiders tell us that beginning today, Morning Joe will air on a slight delay. Yesterday, host Joe Scarborough sort of forgot he was on live TV and said, "They don't go around flipping people off or screaming 'Fuck You' at the top of their lungs," when describing how members of Pres.-elect Obama's inner circle work. The delay will allow producers to "drop" the audio so expletives aren't heard over the airwaves.

This is not new for MSNBC morning TV. When I worked there, Imus in the Morning always aired on a seven-second delay.

Imus is an Ahole

Imus is an Ahole

7 seconds does not help

The 7 seconds delay does not help. If one wants to say something dumb the delay will not stop them from saying it. see: Imus and ruckers basketball. The delay did not stop this. All it will stop is the 7 words one can not say on tv and soon that list will grow and grow to almost a back door fairness doctrine. Then the lefty really get in and say any delay is a violation of free speech but only speech we do not like.

Long live George W. Bush

Long live John McCain

GOP 2010

Sarah Palin 2012

Ummm...how about warning us...please...

 Ken,

You could have at least risen to the occasion and used "F**k" in your own writings...
