I'd rather Clooney be advising him on foreign policy than Winnie the Pooh.

When even Paris Hilton has a better energy policy than you do, exactly how much can George Clooney hurt?

mr. obama dispatched george clooney to atlanta to broker a peace deal between with the russians.  apparently mr. obama thought the state of georgia was invaded ... and upon hearing this, fled  the mainland to a bunker in hawaii (nicely disguised by the media as a "vacation")

to prepare for this imporant task, clooney felt the need to arm himself with as much information as possible in order to cover all aspects of negotiation.  in a briefcase, clooney carried printed copies of text messaging between him and the casts of "the unit" and "24" for both military and political strategy.  obama is said to have faxed clooney several wikipedia articles on russian military uniforms, the 2003 georgia peach harvest and jimmy carter's UFO sighting as supporting documentation.  clooney, the consumate historian and perfectionist, specifically requested that the flight to atlanta include a viewing of "gone with the wind" to ensure he had a firm grasp of georgian culture when developing a plan for peace.

so far, no news from clooney ... he was last seen on the side of a road in valdosta, georgia, holding a map and asking a farmer for directions to the city of Gori.

meanwhile, mr. obama is still hiding in his hawaiian bunker, reportedly working on a "windfall gold hauling tax" he plans to introduce to the senate once mr. clooney completes his mission in georgia.  yes, obama has shifted his ire from "big oil" to "big olympians" ... apparently, he is livid that some greedy american athlete has horded all the gold and actually has the audacity to try and take more! 

also, charles manson has supposedly ended up on obama's short list of running mates.  mr. obama is apparently impressed with mr. manson's appeal to the youth of america and felt that his charisma, hypnotic eyes, wisdom and open views on race relations would be beneficial in unifying americans on all levels.  obama is reported to be unfazed by mr. manson's permanent incarceration and is confident he can schedule manson's 25th parole hearing before the election.  obama was quoted as saying he "hopes" the parole board will "change" its mind so mr. manson can get his message out as a free "citizen of the world".

I just can't take this report seriously. It strikes me, instead, that Obama is just trying to "channel" JFK, and JFK's hob-nobbing with the rat pack. Clooney is just Obama's Danny Ocean, where Sinatra was the same for JFK. Like his fellow Democrat said the other day, when you get so much attention as a presidential candidate, you tend to think you're special. You come to think that the rules don't apply to you. In the most extreme form, you come to think of yourself as the messiah they all think you are.

And if Obama finds a Sinatra, can a Marilyn Monroe be far behind?

But Bozell is right. It doesn't much matter whether the report is correct, the point is the disparity in how the media treats the rumor. If this was a Republican, the media would be howling.

Clooney is strongly pro-Palestinian, makes excuses for terror bombers, and supposedly communicates with Obama several times a week. If this doesn't give Jewish voters pause - I don't know what would. And Florida is a likely swing state with a fairly large Jewish population. Hmmmmm. Maybe its time for Obama to throw yet another close friend under the bus of political expediency.
