You know how MSNBC's Chris Matthews epitomizes liberal sensitivity to race?

There's a reason for that, aside from Matthews's deeply superficial empathy. It also comes from decades of living in the "black majority" District of Columbia -- or so he claims. (video after page break)

I love it when Ed Schultz lapses into candor.

Here he is introducing former Obama press flack and campaign advisor Robert Gibbs on his radio show yesterday in a way that seemed to catch Gibbs off guard, but understandably so when you hear what Schultz said (audio) --

Of course, MSNBC's answer to Katie Couric would be downright indignant had Romney run ads on welfare that included black people.

When it comes to dispensing the casual lie, few leftists in media rival Rachel Maddow.

Most recent example -- Maddow claiming on her MSNBC show Aug. 22 that Republicans wanted to shut down the federal government in April 2011 to stop taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation's leading abortion chain. (video after page break) --

Illegal immigrants get little in the way of welfare or other taxpayer-funded largesse, according to Kirsten Powers. And she's adamant about it.

The liberal columnist and Fox News contributor appeared on Geraldo Rivera's KABC radio show out of Los Angeles yesterday, at the same time Rivera invited GOP strategist George Ajjan. (audio clips after page break)

For years I have heard abortion enthusiasts contort themselves in knots to avoid saying "baby" when talking about abortion.

Leave it to MSNBC's plucky Rachel Maddow to go where few liberals dare --  acknowledging, albeit indirectly, that abortion involves killing human life at its most vulnerable. (video after page break)

Predictably, left-wing radio talker Mike Malloy blames the Family Research Council for being targeted by a pro-gay rights activist who allegedly opened fire at their headquarters and wounded a security guard.

What is surprising about Malloy's rant, even to those of us familiar with this most vampiric of radio hosts, is its jaw-dropped toxicity -- an American version of Radio Rwanda, circa 1994. (Audio clip after page break) --

For a hot minute, it looked like Joe Biden might have lost Al Sharpton. And just as quickly, Sharpton returned to the fold.

Biden has another possible entry to Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, along with his open-mic boast to President Obama in 2010 that passage of Obamacare was "a big f***ing deal." (audio clip after page break)

"Democrats" are struggling to defend Obamacare's $700 billion-plus cuts to Medicare, according to Ed Schultz. But given the timing of his complaint, it was obvious Schultz was including MSNBC colleague Rachel Maddow in the mix.

Here's what Schultz said on his radio show Monday, one day after Maddow's shellacking by National Review editor Rich Lowry on "Meet the Press." NewsBuster Noel Sheppard quickly posted on the exchange and it went viral from there (audio) --

The name James Holm -- not to be confused with accused Aurora gunman James Holmes -- might ring a bell for NewsBusters readers.

Holm first came to our attention back in December 2010 with his alarming suggestion that President Obama "put a gun" to the heads of CEOs sitting on $1.9 trillion in capital reserves. (audio clip after page break)

For more than a decade, liberals have insisted on the presumption of innocence for all manner of poor, misunderstood jihadists intent on slaughtering as many infidels as possible.

But when it comes to alleged racism from conservatives, the burden of proof quickly turns lenient. All it takes is a left winger claiming it so, a perverse dynamic long predating the war on terror. (video after page break)

Make that -- a privately owned, non-union charter school company. No wonder Rachel Maddow's memory about this got selective.

Michigan's emergency financial manager law, enacted by the legislature in 2011 to allow the governor to appoint emergency managers to oversee insolvent municipalities and school districts, is one of Maddow's obsessions, right up there with gay marriage, Republicans as inherently evil, and her barfly Cocktail Moment on Friday nights. Here is an example of why people laugh when Geraldo Rivera describes himself as conservative. His default response is invariably liberal.

On his WABC radio show out of New York City on Tuesday, Rivera played the race card in condemning Mitt Romney for having the incorrect audacity to suggest cultural differences at least partially explain Israel's economic success compared to Palestinian stagnation. (audio).

Doing her part for the media pile-on passing for coverage of Mitt Romney's trip abroad, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow provided what may have been the most ludicrous criticism of all.

Maddow, never one for straightforward commentary when she can slant instead, was describing remarks made by Romney foreign policy adviser Dan Senor.  (video after page break) --

Rachel Maddow rarely talks about abortion with anyone who deviates from her firmly held belief that it should be readily available for the entirety of any pregnancy, preferably on the taxpayer dime.

How can you tell? By the shallowness of her pontificating about it. (video after page break)

Liberals like Melissa Harris-Perry savor vigorous debate about guns, provided that it excludes what they don't want to talk about.

Roseanne Barr made me laugh. Alas, it was 20 years ago. It was while she was a guest on Arsenio Hall's late night show and decided to rib the host. It's not often you meet a black nerd, Barr told Hall. Most nerds are white -- like you.

If Barr has said anything as piercing since, it's passed my attention. And what she said on the most recent Smiley & West radio show demonstrated how Barr has crossed the line from funny to delusional.

Ed Schultz says it's unpatriotic that Mitt Romney invested some of his money outside the U.S. Much as Schultz did with some of his money two years ago.

Rachel Maddow is indignant that more people in media don't share her penchant for elevating minor news to mountainous stories.
