Toxic Radio Host Mike Malloy Haunted by Fear of Families Having Fun at Theme Parks
Not surprising, considering this is the same fringe radical who wished Navy SEALS shot George W. Bush and not Osama bin Laden.
After the Orlando city council passed an ordinance that places restrictions on the group Food Not Bombs from feeding the homeless, followed by a legal battle between the city and group, radio host Mike Malloy did what left-wing logic dictates -- he bashed Christians.
Here's Malloy ranting about this during a recent radio broadcast (audio clip after page break) --
Orlando Food Not Bombs, a peace group that actually does something. Their form of protest is to feed hungry people, homeless people, in much the same way that the Christian avatar did. But the city of Orlando doesn't like that. Orlando, if you've never been there, trust me on this, Orlando for the most part, it has the slums but out of the slums are all those workers that, that's where all the workers come from who work for $10 an hour to run all the attractions in Orlando so that when people come to Orlando, you know, big destination city, you take your family and go to the hottest spot in America, temperature wise, other than the desert Southwest, and you get on these stupid-ass rides.
It's the most commercial, phony section of the country you can imagine -- and I'm not talking just about Disney World, I'm also talking about all -- Universal -- all of them down there -- SeaWorld, where you see huge creatures that belong out in the open ocean living inside of a swimming pool where they do tricks for fish. It's disgusting, it's disgusting.
But the Orlando City Council and the power in Orlando do not like the fact that Food Not Bombs will give away free food to people who are homeless and hungry -- that's not the Christian thing to do. The Christian thing to do is open up another goddamn theme park, that's the Christian thing to do, make it Jesus Land or something! But don't be having homeless people congregate in our public parks! Holy hell, somebody from Minneapolis may drive into town to take the kid to Disney World and see homeless people eating! What could be worse? So they passed an ordinance, very complicated. Groups have to obtain a permit to feed hungry people! And each group that gets a permit can only get two permits a year for each park within a two-mile radius of City Hall!
Oh, OK, so I, what, Food Not Bombs, they get out there with some kind of a pedometer or something? And they mark, OK, are we two miles from City Hall? Oh, OK! You bastards.
Of course, this sort of thing would never happen in Malloy Land, where theme parks would be banished and soup kitchens filled with former theme park employees.

A question about liberals...

Are they miserable because they are liberals, or are they liberals because they are miserable?
It's the chicken and the egg thing, I guess...
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Dare I ask,

but are there bathroom facilities in these parks? Could it be that the city is concerned with sanitation?
Of course opening up a theme park would allow homeless people who want to work to work, and not be dependent upon the charity of liberals. But that's no good for Malloy is it?
I think Malloy is a nutcase,
Submitted by motherbelt on Wed, 06/08/2011 - 8:26pm.
I think Malloy is a nutcase, but I don't know why the city would grant them only 2 permits a year. I can understand them regulating where they can hand out food, but why a restriction on the frequency?
IOW, why is it OK to hand out food only twice a year?
I'm guessing

I'm guessing that there are numerous groups who do such things, and a limited park space. So, to give each group a chance to do their thing in the park (where they're most visible, which is clearly the REAL agenda for Food Not Bombs), the city rations access by using a permit system.
I don't doubt that any organization is free to give away as much food as they like at their own facilities, so (as usual), Malloy can go soak his ignorant head.

I hear you, Kid...

But still, Motherbelt raises an interesting point. Why restrict anyone as to how much they can donate food? If 1500 orgs want to donate food willy-nilly, is it that important that the city feel they need to coordinate this effort?
Motherbelt... I was thinking along the same line of thought. Strange as it may seem, but Mikey may have stumbled on to something here, I guess completely by accident, just like a stopped clock (you know... about being right twice a day -- why do I constrantly feel the need to explain my very badly written puns?)

It's not how much they can

It's not how much they can donate food. It's how much they can use the parks for that purpose: two permits per year, PER PARK within 2 miles of City Hall. It's just a public land use thing--nothing to do with the food at all (a fact that totally escapes Malloy, of course).
Also, I looked at a map--there are something like a dozen parks within 2 miles of City Hall.

That would make sense, HockeyKid....and as usual, Malloy is talking out his......ear.
BTW...Lake Eola Park is 11 miles from the Orlando Studios attraction and the Holy Land Experience (which I'm sure is what he meant by "Jesus Land."
So it's really about Orlando locals. But of course he had to make it about having tourists see homeless people, so he could go on his rant. And that's all this was, an excuse to rant against "Big Amusement" and, of course, Christians! Gotta get in a jab at Christians, you know!!
Mike Malloy is clinically insane.

Modern Liberalism from Day 1

Modern Liberalism from Day 1 and Square 1 has always been about attacking Christianity. It is, in fact, their raison d'tre. Everything at the political and social levels are derivatives of the anti-Christian mind set.

and others like him. Seen through his eyes, the world must seem like a very bleak and lonely place. Let's pray that he can learn to see the beauty in the world around him. That said, Orlando has had some church and humanitarian organizations in place for decades whose sole purpose is to help the homeless in that city (Orlando is a mecca for homeless because the services there for them are so good). These groups work hard to feed, clothe and house the homeless. This ordinance doesn't prevent groups from feeding homeless in the park, it merely reflects that on a 95-degree, high-humidity day, most homeless would rather take advantage of a meal served in an air conditioned building rather than in a hot and steamy park. Food Not Bombs would probably better serve the homeless if it coordinated with other organizations already in place in Orlando so to ensure that they can follow the rules and not overlap services.
True Agenda
