There He Goes, Projecting Again - Ed Schultz Denigrates GOP as 'The Hog Party'

By Jack Coleman | April 13, 2011 | 13:39

A  A

Ed Schultz really hates hoggish behavior. Except when he's planning to engage in it.

On his radio show yesterday, Schultz trotted out his new label for Republicans, one that he clearly labored to create, and with Schultz providing helpful porcine sound effects at the unveiling (audio) (more audio clips after page break) --

The Republicans are now the hog party. They're the sooey hog. Ever been into a hog pen?! A hog pen? Do you realize that a hog will eat until he dies? That a hog, they're damn near unlimited?! That when a hog starts eating, they don't know any better, they just keep eating! (Schultz provides eerily accurate imitation of grunting pig). They just keep eating! And you know what they do? They crap! (surprisingly, Schultz refrains from sound effects here). And I mean they don't go to the bathroom, they crap everywhere. And they don't care! The Republican Party is now, I'm going to refer to them on the air, as the hog party. They want to get fat, they want to walk over everything, and they want to crap on everything else. That's who they are! That's their philosophy! That's what they want!

Given how strenuously Schultz pushed this analogy -- he cited it repeatedly during his three-hour radio show on Tuesday -- you'd think he would avoid comparing himself to a hog. Yet in a rare moment of candor the following hour, Schultz did exactly that. Here is he is talking with Congressman Peter Welch about appearing on "Real Time with Bill Maher" this Friday with former RNC chairman Michael Steele as one of the other guests (audio) --

WELCH: It's good to be with you and I look forward to seeing you in the smackdown with Mr. Steele.

SCHULTZ: Oh yeah, I can't wait. I don't know if there'll be room for the other guests, but I'm going to hog my time. (guffaws)

... and turn it into a real hog party -- sooey!

Shortly after Schultz announced his shallow new description of Republicans, one of his first callers criticized him for it, followed by Schultz doing what he does with critics -- he hung up on the man (audio), as he's done repeatedly this year.

Special Ed is so original, ain't he?

Submitted by Galvanic on Wed, 04/13/2011 - 1:49pm.

If he knew how to read, he'd discover all the non-stimulative pork in the Stimulus bill written and rushed through the Congress in 2009.

BREAK-BREAK: Meanwhile, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is about to have his own hissy fit.  I know he doesn't get much love on this site, so you may enjoy this . . .

http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/155781-graham-vows-to-bring-senate-to-standstill-over-40000-project

At $40,000, he could buy it out of his own pocket.   He's just another Beltway whiner.

Demint

Submitted by jdlybrand on Wed, 04/13/2011 - 4:03pm.

Our other Senator has taken a lot of heat over his opposition to the Charleston Port dredging earmark. The bottom line is the money required to do the study on the feaseability of dredging is chump change to these blue bloods in the 'Lowcountry'. If it were about creating jobs, they'd be more than willing to invest in the project. It's about a handout. We'll be bidding Lindsey adieu come re-election time.

"What a revoltin' development this is!"

He is certainly a hog wallowing, garbage eating, fat slob of a  "bore" hog!

Listening to Bambi's speech?  I'll sum it up for you:

Blah blah, ... BLAH,   blah BLAH, and ... it's George Bush's fault we're in this mess.

Blah ... BLAH blah, BLAH, blah BLAH, so we need higher taxes.

Blah blah, BLAH BLAH BLAH, blah BLAH, power to the people!!

Hmmm, let's see

Submitted by Model850 on Wed, 04/13/2011 - 2:31pm.

January 2007, Dems take over Congress. Debt around $8 trillion.

January 2009, Dems take White House. Debt around $10 trillion.

January 2011, Repubs take control of House. Debt around $14 trillion.

So, Ed, which party apparently has not been able to stop "eating?"

And oh yeah, your guy in the White House has made an art form of crapping all over the American people and the Constitution.

You might want to join in, William.

Submitted by Newsbubba on Wed, 04/13/2011 - 2:57pm.

I and some of my Happy Hour buddies have a standing invitation to any of the MSNBC crowd, to join us in a friendly, old fashioned bar fight anytime.  The losers will have to buy the beer, of course.

The only restriction that we have put on it is that Maddow can't participate, because she scares the hell out of us.  The rest?  Not so much, but we ain't going to take on Maddow.  She is way more "man' than we can handle since we are all what you might call 'senior."

Ed's sons construction

Submitted by LAM SON 719 on Wed, 04/13/2011 - 4:00pm.

Ed's sons construction company would now be bankrupt if it weren't for stimulus project money Ed recieved for dumping hillary and servicing obama. I think a good reporter could investigate the connection and expose Ed, He would be off the air in a week. Ed's company also doesn't use union workers.
