Maddow to O'Donnell: Loved Your Murkowski Interview. O'Donnell to Maddow: It Wasn't Mine
Such is the peril borne by the serial flatterer -- the flattery just might clang.
That's what happened when Lawrence O'Donnell appeared on MSNBC colleague Rachel Maddow's show on Nov. 18 to discuss possible repeal of the don't ask, don't tell policy regarding gays in the military.
At the end of their discussion, Maddow thanked O'Donnell and said this (video after page break) --
MADDOW: Lawrence O'Donnell, host of "The Last Word" which airs at 10 p.m. Eastern. Your interview last night with Lisa Murkowski was great and ...
O'DONNELL: Chris Hayes' interview with last night ...
MADDOW: Chris Hayes, yes ...
O'DONNELL: ... it was my first night off.
MADDOW: ... and it was sort of weird to hear Chris's voice coming from the corner over there.
O'DONNELL: I loved it. I, you know, he did very well for us so I can take more nights off.
MADDOW: Thank you, Lawrence, really appreciate it.
O'DONNELL: I'm just gonna hang for the rest of the show and I'll ...
MADDOW: Excellent!
O'DONNELL: ... and I'll just do my show from right here.
By all means, Mr. O'Donnell, appear with Maddow more often.

There are lots of valid criticisms to be made about Maddow and O'Donnell -- but this ain't one of them. This just seems petty.

These MesSNBC talking heads are all on a self induced alcoholic coma!
I could not quite make up the end of her sentence, but she actually said that they serve cocktails somewhere in the studio!

Lawrence O'Donnell's best interviews are the ones where he isn't involved.
I've never heard of him.

I have no idea who Lawrence O'Donnell is and really don't care to know. The only reason I know about the frumpy little toad, Maddow, is because of Newsbusters.
Does

Does Maddow outrank O'Donnell because of union senority rules at MSNBC governing who has to grovel and make nice-nice? Hasn't Maddow been on longer than this upstart male chauvinist O'Donnell?
Maybe it's just me but I betcha (gee I like the sound of that) Maddow is writing out a union grievance right now because O'Donnell kind of dissed her. It'll probably go to 3rd step and possibly end up in arbitration. Gender bias (that's a little tricky here) and seniority were certainly violated IMHO.
