Obama Predicts: His Plan Will Cost $235,263 Per Job

[Editor's note: Mark Levin touted this story in his first half-hour Friday night.]

President Barack Obama said at a fundraiser held in a private residence in Washington, D.C., on Thursday evening that the $447 billion American Jobs Act he has proposed will create 1.9 million American jobs—which works out to a cost of about $235,263 per job.

“It’s estimated that the American Jobs Act would add two percentage points to the GDP, and add as many as 1.9 million jobs, and bring the unemployment rate down by a full percentage point,” Obama said, according to the official White House transcript of his remarks.

Obama did not say who made the estimate in question, but his remarks mirrored the conclusions of an analysis made by Mark Zandi, the chief economist for Moody’s Analytics. “The plan would add 2 percentage points to GDP growth next year, add 1.9 million jobs, and cut the unemployment rate by a percentage point,” Zandi wrote.

Politico reported the fundraiser for the DNC's African-American Leadership Council was held for about 30 guests at a condominium in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood and cost $35,800 a person. For more, go to CNSNews.com.

Forget about that, bubba.............you're NOT the kind of person who was going to get a damn job on his 'plan' anyway...........and they need YOUR tax dollars to help pay for the kind of person who WILL get the job - haven't you figured that out by now???

And even if it DOES happen, only a percentage of that $235 K will be used as part of this 'job creation'..........and a much larget percentage of it will end up as government waste, or goverment favoritism, or political bribery in the way of slush funds and behind-the-scenes payouts. You don't think some 'teacher' is going to be getting $235K per year, do you???

Depends? Maybe there is a monopoly, like guys n gals down at Young Bro's Nawiliwili Office making $144,000 running fork lifts for a few hours a day.

Or Blowbama's

5 Million per job.

Maybe that is total pay per life time.

Additional tax revenue from the 1.9 million workers and, presuming they stick to the plan, improved infrastructure for all of us to enjoy. The money isn't ONLY going into payroll, but to pay for the projects that need capital in order to hire workers for said projects. Simply dividing x by y isn't an accurate calculation by any means.

Submitted by killa37 on Sat, 09/17/2011 - 12:23pm.

So, Albert - those of us who WILL be taxed to pay for this waste of money will be benefitting from the 'revenue' produced by people who are getting paid with OUR tax dollars??? I believe that their PAY, as well as their TAXES, are being financed by other hard working Americans.................I know this, because I am an evil 'privte sector employer' (or I was one before Obamaville came to town).......and my lib brother and his lib wife both work for the Federal government (and somehow, they were getting paid regularly and handsomely under the Bush era - who they hated - just as they are now, under the Obama REGIME - who they love...........unless they've taken down their Obama calender and had a dose of reality, since neither one of their college-graduate daughters has been able to find any kind of a meaningful job).

And this 'improved infrastructure' that you mention???? Since the Federal and State governments confiscate MORE money per gallon of gas than the EVIL oil companies MAKE, why aren't those billions of dollars being used to do this work - why is it some kind of a political crisis???
