NYT's Friedman: Castro's 'Idiocy' Complaints About Conservative Candidates 'Not a Good Sign' for GOP
First it was New York Times reporters who were quoting unelected Cuban dictator Fidel Castro insulting the “idiocy and ignorance” of the two lead candidates for the GOP nomination, in a January 26 story. Now columnist Thomas Friedman gets in on the act, quoting Castro approvingly in Sunday’s “Made in the World.”
The Associated Press reported last week that Fidel Castro, the former president of Cuba, wrote an opinion piece on a Cuban Web site, following a Republican Party presidential candidates’ debate in Florida, in which he argued that the “selection of a Republican candidate for the presidency of this globalized and expansive empire is -- and I mean this seriously -- the greatest competition of idiocy and ignorance that has ever been.” When Marxists are complaining that your party’s candidates are disconnected from today’s global realities, it’s generally not a good sign. But they’re not alone.
Is it really "not a good sign" to be criticised by Castro? Shouldn’t a democratically elected U.S. politician be proud to be on the bad side of an unelected tyrant?
Of course, Friedman has a history of wishing America was more like Communist China.

Really?! Who gives a SH1T what Castro says and more importantly what this buffoon Friedman and the NYT says in the first place?
Geez, does this nonsense ever end?!
Actually, when a sworn enemy questions you, that is a victory

believe this is even a meme. OMG. Scary, yeah I know there are those that think Spiccoli and Sean Penn are the same person, but those are the folks now living in tents in public parks and pooping on cars. To think intelligent, rational humans are going to do anything but laugh this joker off the page is unbelievable.

First of all-is this pendaho still alive? I saw more life in a dead guy in Weeklend At Bernies than this loco yokel! Secondly, why would this jerk lib, who, even though hes a jerk lib, DARE give comfort and acceptance of whatever El Presidente says over his fellow Americans? I guess to Friedbrain it's bad news for The Pope if Achmadinnerjacket or the Ayatollah speak negatively of him.
The GOP can be proud

The GOP can be proud that Castro is complaining about them. Only a stupid democrat would be happy to have Castro endorse them. I guess since they are all communists or worse it only makes sense that Castro would endorse a democrat.
Democrat party = communists, socialists, marxists. They all want to destroy the USA.
Perhaps the stupidest Friedman quote ever

FRIEDMAN: " . . ..” When Marxists are complaining that your party’s candidates are disconnected from today’s global realities, it’s generally not a good sign. But they’re not alone."
Really? And what about Marxist reality? The USSR? North Korea? Uh . . . Cuba?
I don't know about Friedman, but if I were a conservative candidate for office, I would welcome every Marxist condemnation of me.
Let Hugo Chavez -- Joe Kennedy's heating oil chum -- speak out against Republicans. I'd put his quote and Castro's with in my ads.

...shilling for the Left eats away at his Nobel like a penny in a can of Coke. His rant on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 was, well, um, uh, completely insane.
Of course, Nobels stopped meaning much once they starting giving them to Al 'sex poodle' Gore and The Big 0 (just for existing, apparently), but people said they still meant something for awards in the 'hard' sciences. Well, maybe in physics, medecine, chemistry, etc. but certainly not economics!
Confusion

I think Friedman got confused. If Castro had said this about the Democrats, then there would be cause for concern, since they actually value his opinion and find it worthwhile
Friedman? Really?

So...A Marxist murderer's opinion of an American presidential election is meaningful? Friedman used to be known as a kinda sorta level headed lib on occasion. Clearly, he has stopped thinking with his brain and started thinking with his feces.

Yeah, FriedMind.........you really nailed it on that one!!! I'm sure that conservative and Republicans alike are despondent and morose about Fidel's statements.............but they needed a delusional idiot like you to tell them why.
