NB Publisher Bozell to Boehner: NPR Ties to 'Occupy Wall Street' Demand Defunding
Editor's Note: The following is a quote from a letter NewsBusters publisher and Media Research Center (MRC) founder Brent Bozell sent to Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) earlier today, spurred in part by the recent revelation that NPR host Lisa Simeone served as a spokesperson for the Occupy DC protest.
NPR is out of control, using taxpayer money to lend support to a sometimes violent and lawless mob set on crippling the financial backbone of our country.
NPR is not an objective, independent news broker. NPR is a shill for George Soros and other liberal funders, doing the bidding of these donors and acting in tandem with their political interests. And as you will see in the attached report, we have carefully documented such instances. NPR is a rogue operation which must be eliminated once and for all. It wasn’t necessary, we can’t afford it, and it continues to violate its own ethical standards of non-partisanship.
You can read the MRC's "Counting the Reasons to Defund" special report here.

It is nice to see somone else snap on Boehner too.
This is kinda like how ATF should have already been defunded entirely over GunWalker Scandal and DOE should be defunded entirely as a result of Solyndra and USDA should have been over Pigford and the EPA over its litany of foolishness and and and......
The beaver says : Gee walley, there is a pattern of, a long train of, abuse by the Executive Branch with the Alphabet Agencies, Bureaus and Departments that totally warrant action by the People's House, specifically by the one tasked with SPEAKING, but chooses to remain silent about all of it.
Me thinks John Boehner is so silent these days because he is worried about perjuring himself just like Holder did. Me thinks John Boehner is more part of the problem than he is part of the solution.
How Many Times Does NPR Have To Attack America?

Bachmann may have to be speaker before the Republican leadership will step up to defend America.
We know that the Canadian magazine Adbuster bought the web page names for Occupy Wall Street and the Orlando group is financed from middle-eastern money filtered through CAIR.
Biden is wrong hiring cops does nothing to prevent rapes or reduce robbery if the cop never draws his gun and shoots the criminals. If Boehner will not defend America and the constitution then what good is a Republican Speaker?
Wow, that's way harsh, Brent.

They're not partial, they just know for a fact that the protesters are right.

has to kick the Gop into some action. These candidates need to stay off the LSM, they need to make harsh remarks on prime time tv about Bieden and his stupid remarks, they need to stand up and insist their plans be heard rather then allowing the LMS bash everything they put forth. This take-over of marxist radicals as seen/heard on PBS and the LSM has got to stop or this country will continue to be run by radical libs. Americans are becoming aware of all this crap and it is time for the GOP to get in front of them and speak the truth about this corrupt administration.........ie: Fast and furious and the Green wasted money.Barry has been campaigning since the day he took office and am tired of the GOP sitting there appearing to be afraid to confront the decline of this country.

Why do I think we might have to wait until 2013 when the new Conservative leaning Congress takes over before anything happens?
We also need a new, more conservative Speaker of the House. I am disappointed in Boehner. I have not heard of him doing much of anything to repeal various bills that were forced down our throats when the libturds had power.
why

don't Conservatives demand a tax-funded tv/radio station? Why do libs get it? Am I missing something??

Well now, I think you've hit on something!
Require NPR to carry Limbaugh, Hannity and a few other right leaning broadcasters along with their libtard diatribe.
HA! I can see the NPR-lings panties bunching now!

power over you as you allow. The GOP allows the media to exert waaaaaaaay too much power over them.
Speak TRUTH to power, whether the media like it or not.
The dimicraps are sooooooo accustomed to a weak willed GOP they'd be knocked off their high horse if the GOP started at least acting like they have, uh, chutzpa.
Good for Brent Bozell! NPR/CPB is the canary in the coal mine

If the Republicans don't have the guts to defund these arrogant left wing parasites they don't have the guts to defund anything and government will spread like a noxious gas to consume us all.

bills to accomplish both of these have been brought up in the House and died when faced with the scrutiny of the Senate. Controlling the lower house of the Senate only gives you a soap box - it doesn't give you control.

Where's the petitian, I'll sign it! I have been saying, basically, the same thing for a couple years, now.
