WashPost's Henderson Suggests FNC & 'Far Right' May Help Obama by Race-Baiting
Appearing as a panel member this weekend on the syndicated Chris Matthews Show, Nia-Malika Henderson of the Washington Post predicted that Fox News and the "far right" may drive independents and women to vote for President Obama, as she suggested that they may "hint at" racial issues or birtherism and cause "blowback" that would benefit the President.
She also theorized that mothers may vote to re-elect Obama because they "take some pride" in having their children "growing up in this country with an African-American President."
After Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker theorized that people who are racist against the President are a group he cannot win over and are therefore irrelevant to the campaign, Henderson responded:
I think, in some ways, the way race might play a role - I think you're right, that the people who don't like Obama because he's black or because they think he's not eligible to be President or he's the other, they're not going to support him.
And I think, if Superpacs, if Fox News, if they sort of hint at that sort of language, I think it's going to turn independents off from Republicans. I think that's the danger that Republicans and people from the far right play, is going to be a blowback because a lot of women, especially, I think, they do, you know, take some pride in this idea that their kids are growing up in this country with an African-American President.

What she is really saying is that mothers care more for obama's future than they care about their children's future.
The only mothers who would think that way are dopey Liberal moms not the independents.

"... take some pride in this idea that their kids are growing up in this country with an African-American President."
Really? Let's use a racist statement to try to paint others as racist ... dumb-ass!
In what possible way would this be true, or even relevant?
For the rest of this election cycle, people need to slap the race card right out of these lib-tard's hands!
While this type of ridiculous argument might have had some traction the last election, before O was elected, it's not like black hating racists suddenly woke up and said, "What?, the President's black? Well I'm not going to vote for him again!"
Most people would be happy with a President they could be proud of, period!
The problem is, the position is always filled by a politician.

Racism at its worst!

Are these commentators really so ignorant that they don't realize that when they continually bring up racism, THEY are the racists! Do they really believe that women don't want to bring their children up in a country with an economy that will give them every opportunity to succeed, but rather only want to bring their children up in a country that has a black president? And how long do they think Obama is going to be president? Is he going to be there throughout their child's lifetime? Lastly, please stop putting women down - they are not the stupid fools you people make them out to be...
You know the ole saying that
Submitted by Breanna on Mon, 06/11/2012 - 12:16pm.
You know the ole saying that "he who dealt it, smelt it first"? This is what I am reminded of everytime a democrat/liberal and/or black person mentions racism. THEY talk about it all the time BECAUSE they are racist! They hate hate hate white people , mostly, and find this the most opportune time to make the rest of the black community (worldwide) hate us too. They may never have the chance again to make us the most hated race and so that is why they mention it all the time. They absolutely know for a fact that they can not point to many instances where republicans first mention race and then beat it like a dead horse. It doesnt happen. If FNC mentions race it is in reaction to what the MSM said regarding race in a story. I think the most racist of all are the democrats and liberals and black persons. Black persons are more racist than whites because they even hate people of their own skin color depending on the shade (this told to me by a black co worker when asked why she hated a woman not known to her but who married a well known member of the business community- "because shes from Nigeria and her skin is too light and we hate people with light black or very dark black skin") hhmmmm. Dems are racist because well thats a long story but needless to say they are still the Party of Slavery and liberals are racist because they really do think that black persons are too stupid to know whats best for them and that they are not superior at all in intellect and that "white" people are mentally superior to black persons but they feel sorry for black persons and do all that they can to ensure social services for life for these
"poor lost souls". Its racist to think that you are better than anyone else because of your intellect or skin color etc and this is exactly what dems/liberals and black persons are. Sorry but its MY opinion.

Any panel with Dan Rather on it is a joke to begin with. Add Chris Matthews and you've got high comedy.

Kathleen Parker?

If Parker is political knowledgeable, I'm a white Kenya native tribal chief.
If Nia-Malika Henderson, is politically savy I'm a cosmonaut.
If Chris Matthews is an unbiased "common-tator" then call me God-Almighty!
They should all have cabinet jobs, ... as domesticates. But they wouldn't make good "help." And to think ... they are given a soapbox for their propaganda!

The verse about having a beam in your eye while pointing out the speck in someone else's comes to mind when these people speak. They are the ones who are obsessed with the color of ones skin. If we can be labelled something, it might be policyist since it is his policies we want changed, not his skin color. The extent of their condescension, arrogance, stupidity, and ignorance is incredible. And they are oblivious to it.

If your opponents aren't racist, predict that they WILL be.
Straw man slander.
We know what kind of campaign they're going to run
The only "racial" element that Obama has to worry about is that voting for the black guy because he's black isn't quite as "cool" the second time around.

Hey Nia, only so many times can you yell fire in the theater and have people pay any attention at all..... You guys are ginning up the African American base of the DIMWITS to get out and vote, simple as that, well it will not work this time. You guys want them down, you do everything you guys can to see to it with Sharpton and Jackson, who would join the other 23MM unemployed if you were trully willing and able to help the African American community. There is too much money to be made keeping them down, SHAME, SHAME

That comment about "taking pride that their kids are growing up in a country with an African-American president" couldn't be further from the truth. We don't have an African American president. And the guy in the white house is about as anti-American as anyone can get.
So quit feeding us that line of BS, liberals.
Oh yeah, quit being racists too, that's getting really old and tired. You're the ones that make it an issue, not the whites that you hate.

These people look at everything through the prism of race. To be honest I'm sick of it. Are people that shallow that they support someone just because of the color of their skin? It's these idiotic liberals who think we should so who is the racist?
These people keep bringing it up because that's all they have to argue about and know nothing else. They certainly can't bring up liberal policies, disastrous social edicts, fiscal and foriegn policies...because they're clueless! Just look at the empiracal evidence. Everywhere you turn they screw things up!
Idiots.

I liked Nia-Malika Henderson even though she's a liberal. At The Post, that almost qualifies as a conservative. But I no-longer have a use for another lefty playing the race card. The fact she would attack Fox News, a network which she has appeared often in the past, as a source of bigotry toward Obama proves her duplicity.

reminding us that BHO is black (sorry, he's half-black) we might forget that he is. She needs to realize that people who oppose his policies are getting sick and tired of being called racist and that may backfire against the Democrats. Personally, I do not want anyone in the WH that I cannot disagree with from time to time without being called a name of one sort or another.
I can play the "if" game too.

It's basic leftist pre-election strategy. The racism buzzword will ALWAYS alert the truly squishy avoidance crowd. They can guarantee 100% of the racist vote, apparently 90 plus % of the black vote. It's the hate-whitey caucus and it's getting old and dangerous. If 90 plus % of all TV journalists would try to make them answer for the policies in any truthful way whatsoever, then TV political news would be doing their job. As it is they're doing Obama's work. And most unfortunately, Anti-American work. So, break it down. What Henderson is basicaly saying is...vote for Obama or you are a racist, or, you may be seen to be a racist because of your vote association with all those other racists who did not vote for Obama. Is that about right?

Race baiter

I doubt her statement has any validity. Obama is the most prolific race baiter on a level with Rev. Jackass and Rev Al (Tawana Brawley) Sharpton and I he can't help himself I doubt the GOP will bring it around for him - they are amateurs in race baiting compared to Obama.
