Donny Deutsch Lauds Obama on Gay Marriage Vs. Romney 'Bullying'

By Brad Wilmouth | May 15, 2012 | 08:07

A  A

Appearing as a guest on Monday's The Tonight Show on NBC, advertising executive and former CNBC host Donny Deutsch praised President Obama for voicing support for same-sex marriage, and predicted that voters will prefer Obama as a person, in contrast with Mitt Romney, as Deutsch raised the story of Romney allegedly "bullying" a fellow classmate in high school.

When host Jay Leno showed Deutsch the latest cover of Newsweek devoted to Obama's stand in favor of gay marriage, Deutsch effused:

I thought it was fantastic, what he did, both for moral reasons and for political reasons. ... When he came out, I felt the same way when he first got elected. I'm like, what a great country. We just elected an African-American guy in this country. This is a great country. That was the second time I felt it.

He then predicted that Obama will defeat Romney because he is more "likeable." Deutsch:

And I think he really sets himself up against Romney. Because Romney is, is there is a backbone? Is there a soul? He's a wishy-washy, where at least you may disagree or agree with Obama, but he took a a stand. And we always vote for the most likeable guy and that's why he's going to win.

Deutsch soon brought up the story about Romney "bullying" in high school:

DONNY DEUTSCH: Contrasting with Romney who, I think the same day or same week, came up with that bullying thing you talked about earlier. That really affects people. They go, what kind of guy is that? Was he the guy beating up the weaker kid growing up? And we don't want that. So I think that's really going to hurt him.

JAY LENO: Do you think that's the most damaging thing against him at this point?

DEUTSCH: One of the most. We vote for people, not issues.

Mr. Doushe has a long history

Submitted by John21 on Tue, 05/15/2012 - 8:12am.

Mr. Doushe has a long history of being wrong.
He also has a long history of being "Bat Sh*t" crazy even for the far left liberal Progressive movement. He has no credibility or integrety and I seriously doubt if he can even recognize the word honesty, so who cares what he has to say?

Today the Left is praising Obama's 'courageous and correct' stand on same-sex marriage, but it changes nothing beyond getting kudos from the Left and alienating some otherwise Obama-supporters. The TIME and Newsweek covers not withstanding, this has little or no positive impact on his political support, and may have some marginally negative.

If the MSM had any guts, they would ask the candidates in the first debate whether or not they are in favor of repealing the Defense of Marriage Act. It's very title makes it a subject Obama does not want to address. Romney would certainly say No, but Obama would end up hedging his answer in his typical way (Essentially voting "Present").

If Mitt Romney is a "bully," then Barack Obama is an addled pothead.

As they all discussed the polls for Obama showing the New York Times said in a Democrat-weighed poll that Romney led Obama and led with women. They could have used Donny's idiotic rantings today to cheer them up.

He is lying to himself.

A complete and total disconnect from reality.
He can tell himself that gay marriage is going to propel Obama into a second term but that goes against all the history on the issue by a darn healthy margin.

Obama as Federalist

Submitted by Kingfish17 on Tue, 05/15/2012 - 9:20am.

When Obama took the position, that states should have the "right" regarding marriage laws within that state, why didn't that position become the focal point of the subsequent discussion regarding gay marriage? The reason no one is focusing on "state's rights" is because nobody believes that Obama is being honest when he says that gay marriage should be left up to the states!

During the 1990's. Clinton elevated lying into an art form.  The liberal press and Clinton sycophants marveled at how Clinton could spin a lie.  The same thing is going on with Obama.  Prior to Obama coming out in favor of gay marriage the other day, very few people believed that he honestly held a position that marriage should be between one man and one woman.  Now, after Obama has come out in favor of gay marriage, should we believe that Obama honestly feels that gay marriage should be left up to the states?  Furthermore, should we believe that Obama will not somewhere down the road come out with a position that it is discriminatory if a church refuses to marry anybody, no matter their sexual orientation?

Deutsch marvels at Obama's "politics".  Liars marvel at how others can spin the better lie.  Honest people find this type of sociopathic lying reprehensible.  Deutsch and his kind marvel at it.

The "bullying" story was

Submitted by rbosque on Tue, 05/15/2012 - 9:51am.

The "bullying" story was nothing but a set-up. It is a counter argument against a "saintly" Obama who supports gays. This story was no accident despitie the BS that Biden forced the issue. Consider all the Obama pro-gay merchandise that the DNC is selling all of a sudden, that takes time to prepare. The whole thing is a fabrication.
