ABC's Kerley Mocks Cain: Is 'CEO of Self' About to 'Fire Himself'

By Brad Wilmouth | December 04, 2011 | 10:24

A  A

On Saturday's Good Morning America on ABC, a few hours before Herman Cain's announcement that he would drop out of the presidential race, as anchor Bianna Goldryga and correspondent David Kerley speculated about what Cain would do, Kerley mocked Cain as Kerley referred to the GOP candidate's tendency to call himself the "CEO of self," and wondered if he would "fire himself":

BIANNA GOLODRYGA: Herman Cain is home this morning, seeing his wife face-to-face for the first time since allegations of a 13-year-long affair surfaced earlier this week. He is set to make a major announcement today. ... And, David, that must have been an intense meeting with his wife.

DAVID KERLEY: Can you imagine what happened inside the house? If walls could speak, I guess. you know, he called himself the "CEO of self." Is he about to fire himself? Has the Cain train made its last run?

Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Saturday, December 3, Good Morning America on ABC:

BIANNA GOLODRYGA: Herman Cain is home this morning, seeing his wife face-to-face for the first time since allegations of a 13-year-long affair surfaced earlier this week. He is set to make a major announcement today. And the big question of the morning, will he drop out of the race? ABC's David Kerley is on Cain watch this morning. And, David, that must have been an intense meeting with his wife.

DAVID KERLEY: Can you imagine what happened inside the house? If walls could speak, I guess. you know, he called himself the "CEO of self." Is he about to fire himself? Has the Cain train made its last run? We are getting some indications from supporters and some staff members that he may end his campaign, no final word. One Web site is suggesting that Mrs. Cain wants him out, and he has said that Mrs. Cain could decide to reduce the Republican field by one candidate.

KERLEY: Was this South Carolina stop Herman Cain's last campaign appearance? He says we'll know later today.

HERMAN CAIN: I will be making an announcement, but nobody's going to get me to make that prematurely.

KERLEY: It has been nothing but bad news for Cain for three weeks now. The allegations of several women of sexual harassment, stumbling on foreign policy questions.

CAIN: Okay, Libya.

KERLEY: But Cain has been pushed to the brink of calling it quits because of ginger white's story, a 13-year affair with Cain, which she detailed on Good Morning America.

GINGER WHITE: When I entered into this inappropriate relationship with Mr. Cain, I was single, I was not married. Mr. Cain has been married throughout the entire relationship.

I'd love to be at the morning meetings of the msm journOlistas. They get their talking points, share nasty comments that might be made and then rush out to denigrate the day's target.

We have come to expect nothing less from these uninformed unintelligent blowhards. Sometimes their ignorance is astounding.

Bad Moring America.

Has been such a bastion of liberal snark at middle America, I doubt it's audience is very large outside the urban centers of liberal contempt for fly over country. I can recall watching their nasty remarks during the summer of town hall protests... They ridiculed, and insulted decent reuglar Americans, for daring to assert, that Obama was wrong didn't walk on water, and that Pelosi's dems were tone deaf to what the public wanted.

They dumped a wasteland of hatred on anyone to dared dissent in Obamanation... like we were too stupid to see how glorious and awesome this new leftwing utopia would be... peasants.

Dear Lord save me from my friends

I can take care of my enemies myself. Sadly Cain was largely bushwacked by a gullible GOP stupid enough fail to stauchly oppose the Dem/media bs. Anyone deluded enough to believe that manifest fascist crap like they used similarly on Thomas, is so stupid they're manifestly too incompetent to vote. Thankfully Thomas had more cajonnes and withstood it; I'd hoped Cain would have as well so I regret I was wrong. Sadly how low current politics have sunk but unsurprising considering vile and lawless Dem & media fascist pimps who should be jailed and sued for at least hundreds of millions.
